Attended the annual library book sale at the fairgrounds. Saturday was family day, and they had a magician, games, face painting and other kid activities. Kids books will be on sale 2FOR1 and books were a dollar, so that’s .50 cents a book. There were plenty to choose from and a great selection! I recommend this event for all bookworms. young and old. I highly recommend the cellphone accessories shop and the sock shop in the NC Fairgrounds main building open every weekend. They have the most amazing jaw dropping cases for around $ 10 for just about every phone imaginable. They also have the hue(normally 3 for $ 16) socks I always get from Macy’s for $ 1 a pair and 5 pairs for $ 4 for a large variety of men’s and women’s socks. You can even get a case for your 13″ or 15″ MacBook for under $ 20! I was astonished. Also, there is a cool guy who sells awesome watches for under $ 10 smackeroos. & Great service with a smile to boot.

The fairgrounds are absolutely massive and when I stopped by(more or less on a whim after seeing a television ad for an RV show) I felt like I died and went to some kind of weird 50s heaven. Flea market over there, RV show that way, «cat agility» spectacular in that building. If I lived in Raleigh, I’d find an excuse to get to the fairgrounds every weekend and soak in the kitsch, buy some microwavable pork rinds and perhaps start a new life as an antiques hoarder.
