Stopped in for a quick lunch with my daughter on Christmas Eve. Food was good, hot and service was great! Can’t complain — it was nice to have good food and service on a holiday and it’s busy

A great place to eat. I don’t eat pork myself but even the chicken sausages are a great meal. Great veggie options for those who live the lifestyle. Whole wheat and gluten free options. Catch the onions and peppers early in the day unless you like them soggy. Great atmosphere as well. The bathrooms are riddled with colorful art predicated on the theme bussiness. Kids eat free every Wednesday and there is an excellent special on the menu everyday.

I like the food however today I saw a young man outside with a sign that said this establishment had fired him and didn’t tell him why. I saw people gie him food and money and i saw folks taking pics. This is the holiday season if you have to fire someone the least you can do is tell them why. I saw the police come but there was no voilence and I will not support this business ever again.

Outstanding brats and equally great service. Bring your coconuts and they might dance for you if you order the huli huli dog.

We went for the vegetarian offerings. They weren’t good. Undercooked — those fake meat products are a really really good brand, but they need to be seared otherwise they are just a really gross squishy texture. Especially in the could-be-awesome Indian-inspired sandwich. Along with bland potatoes, the«meat» texture made it unpalatable. Their fries were good and they have a great toppings selection — if they fixed the preparation details on the vegetarian options, I’d be stopping by while shopping!

Second time trying Firewurst. First was in Cary, they were having an off day as the owner nicely explained in email. Today Brier Creek was everything I had envisioned about a gourmet hot dog/sausage place. Rolls were toasted, meat was perfect and hot. The brat was simply amazing and the kraut had just the right kick without feeling canned. The Chicago dog was good actually it was really good but as a Midwest guy it wasn’t like what you get in the windy city. This is a fantastic place to grab lunch. We will be back a lot.

It’s ok. It’s just not a wow as I had hoped being as I am German and love sausages of all kinds. I first tried the Kildaire location right after they opened. The keilbasa and sea salt fries were really good. The older gentleman behind the counter recommended them. He was really friendly, walked me thru the menu. Great customer service. On my second visit there, the same guy was not behind the counter and service was a mess. Took forever when there was only 2 tables which the manager apologized for and then while hurrying the cook cut himself with the knife. Concerned because there didnt seem to be a moment where he stopped, washed it, bandaged and sanitized his work area and equipment. I had ordered an Italian sausage sandwich. My fault for not realizing they put mustard on their Italian Sausage. It says it right on their online menu but I didnt realize. Good sandwich ruined by grainy mustard. Years of eating Italian Sausages on the Jersey boardwalk, never ever with mustard. I also tried the Sausage Smackers with buffalo sauce. Both went in the trash that trip. Now a couple years later I move to BC and decide to try again. Got the Reuben. Tasted good. Messy. Overstuffed. Fell apart. Needed a fork. Not really a bad problem to have! Slaw though had too much dressing. Swimming. Maybe the owners could just make sure everyone is following the recipe and not eyeballing the measurements. I give them credit. They are really trying. But the devil’s in the details. Simple food well prepared is amazing. Simple food prepared carelessly can be trash.

I’ve been coming to Firewurst since they opened and really enjoy their food. It wasn’t until I attended Unilocal events at both their locations(I prefer the one on Harrison, it’s bigger) that I learned more about them. This is not a chain folks. It’s locally owned. They serve high quality meat, sausages, nitrate free hot dogs, make their own bread and use local produce as much as possible. They even have vegetarian options. Normally I get either a Chicago dog or one of the many sausages they have. I particularly like the sweet chicken dog, but even a vegetarian sandwich, like the Bombay(Panini Grilled Sourdough Bread, Vegetarian Apple Sage Sausage, Coriander Mint Chutney, Sliced Potatoes and Tomatoes Cheddar Cheese) is amazing too. This time I decided to try a burger and it was oh, so good! I had the bacon bbq burger, which is certified angus. It comes on a fresh baked bun with bacon, a very flavorful swiss cheese, and onion tanglers on top as well as a delicious BBQ sauce. I was talking about it all night. It was so good! Their sides are excellent too, like three different kinds of slaws and hand cut fries with three toppings to choose from. This place is not to be missed!

We found this place after a horrid experience at the Bob Evans in Brier Creek(read other review for that debacle). Talk about polar opposites. OMG that burger is awesome.(BBQ /Bacon) Tay had the dog… also incredibly good. The staff were great — even fun after the 21 jump street episode we just ran from…(Bob Evans). Feel fortunate to have found this place — $ 22 bucks for a great meal and a great little restaurant. Definitely recommend and will most definitely be back. Oh and the place was spotless…

It’s a 5⁄5 day with taste, portions, customer service At Firewurst. We are always happy to find good beef with flavor. These are tasty burgers, with toasted buns. Hand cut fries, non-greasy, hit the spot. A good music mix of Hendrix, AC-DC, Journey and more rounded out our great lunch on this beautiful autumn day!

Was recently here for a Unilocal event, but I had been here beore, so this review is a little overdue. The first and second time I was here was with a group of friends. We all liked it very much. We had several types of dogs and we all shares, and every single one was delicious. I tried the veggie dog too, just to see if it was a viable option for my vegetarian guy, and I was very impressed with it. I wouldn’t hesitate to order this for myself, carnivore that I am. The third time I went was with my guy, and he did enjoy that veggie dog quite a lot. We always keep Firewurst as an option when we’re in the Brier Creek area. He also likes that there are a few tvs around so he can check out any games that are on. The staff is always helpful, and they really seem to like working here. I get the impression that the owners know that if you take good care of your staff, they will take good care of your customers. Love that they’re local. Love that they bake their own bread. Love that they hold all their foods to very high standards and go as local as possible. We’ll definitely be back.

Tonight I gave firewurst a second chance since my first visit had a 20+ minute wait and when I got home my order was wrong. Tonight I ordered my food waited 15+ minutes for my food just to be told they were out. The manager was apologetic and offered other options but at that point I was done. Don’t go here if you expect fast, accurate, in-stock food. All bad experiences aside, the food is very good. Update: I thought I was refunded; but I wasn’t. The transaction posted on my credit card. Ridiculous.

Stopped in for dinner and the food was excellent! Even though dogs are the preferred menu item I ordered a double burger, southern style, and a side of sweet potato fries. The burger was a heaping mess of bbq sauce, pimento cheese and sweet slaw. All of the flavors came together very well and my only complaint was that I maybe ate it too quickly. The sweet potato fries were also a healthy sized portion and they had some sort of brown sugar thrown on top which kinda elevated them almost to a pseudo dessert. The only downside to this place is the price point is a little high but the value is really there if you are in the mood for some good comfort style food.

Great place! We had double bacon burger– bf said amazing, bratwurst– best I have had, Cajun fries– seemed like hand cut fries cooked perfect, and a hotdog with cheese, chilling and onions. Could tell it was good quality just from not getting heart burn after! Skip the onion stacks next time where not that great. Will deff be back!

Generally when eating in a new place, the evaluation questions boils down to this: Would I go out of my way to come here again? In this case, the answer would be no. While I might stop by if I was in the area, the lure here just isn’t strong enough to warrant the drive. So, what was wrong? Nothing in particular, really. It’s more that I was underwhelmed my the flavor and left thinking I paid way too much for a small hot dog with stuff dumped on top of it. Feel like they can offer more…

So I was in the area on business and decided to try the place because of the name. Tried their Bacon BBQ burger and some of the onion straw things. Overall the burger was fine just like 5 guys but not much better. The onion straws were too greasy for me. I did get to watch the manager handle an order that was messed up and have to say he did an excellent job of handling the customer. So if you want a quick burger or sausage I would say it is a decent place to go.

The service was good but the food was not great at all(although the sweet potato fries weren’t bad). I had a stomach ache later in the evening and I think that’s because everything is just covered in salt. I won’t be back.

This place is great, good service, clean, everything was fresh, it’s not fast food so it takes a few minutes, just order your beer, have a seat and relax, excellent food is worth the wait

Great tasting burgers! The service is pretty sad… Seems like all the employees are new and not sure how to use the systems. They have local beer which is awesome! Even supporting aviator which is my favorite local beer. The burgers average around $ 8 once you make some modifications and around $ 11 once you add fried or a side. They do have a kids menu, but it’s cheaper to just order a single burger for them if they don’t drink soda.

We were brought into this place thanks to a 5 $ coupon we got at a local retailer. We went in for a quick bite while shopping one afternoon. The place was fairly empty but the décor was inviting & didn’t scream FASTFOOD which we appreciated. There were plenty of kosher options. & the service was great. The food came out quickly too I wanted a hotdog while my husband tried a burger. I believe I ordered the Chicago which seemed mouthwatering on the menu. The burger looked delicious for only 4.99 but I was shocked to hear a combo was a 3.59 up charge. The hotdog was cut in a curly shape & bun looked voluptuous. The minute I took a bite the scientifically green relish looked/smelled/tasted questionable. I was turned off immediately & couldn’t manage to take another bite. The blueish poppyseed on the bun also wasn’t very pleasant. The burger was delicious & the sweet potato fries were tasty. The glass bottled drinks were cool & I had a Shirley temple flavor. Not sure if I’ll come back in a hurry but I certainly want to try another item on the menu.
