Since my first visit in 2011 I have been here many times. Since my Dad’s passing in 2014 I bring my Mom here occasionally so she can enjoy seeing the many friends they had here. I am now welcomed by the staff and the regulars. Today I ordered the bacon/egg/cheese sandwich with home fries. Emphasis on the BACON. This sandwich had bacon in every bite. Very impressed.

I get it delivered by and haven’t been in the physical restaurant, so all I can critique is the food. I get some people don’t like the whole stryofoam/diner thing, but that aside this is a great place. The portions are VERY generous, I love the blue plate specials, many meats and 2 sides to chose from, always good. The pulled pork is so tasty you don’t need sauce but the vinegar sauce they put with it is great. Cornbread, rolls and veggie platters you get your moneys worth. Great for what it is!

I don’t get the appeal of this place — Average food served on styrofoam with plastic cutlery given to you still wrapped in cellophane 91 sanitation grade Pancakes and eggs took 40 minutes Saw a scary argument in the parking lot — not good when you’ve got your kids with you. Waitress was nice Won’t be back.

I haven’t been their in YEARS even though I live within walking distance — it was the whole Styrofoam thing — but a friend wanted to try this«olde Raleigh» hot spot. We were there for a mid-morning breakfast. I had the veggie omelet and hashbrowns. I am now obsessed with having breakfast there again. The omelet was delicate and tasty and the potatoes were cut a little different and were super tasty. Oh, and my friend, who is particular about how good food tastes, was super impressed with the grits«They know how to cook grits right.» — high praise indeed. One final note, the atmosphere was wonderfully small town and the staff was super sweet.

Pretty standard no-frills breakfast place. Breakfast was tasty, but not spectacular(eggs over medium, grits, corned beef hash, toast, coffee). Would have considered four stars, but the styrofoam plates and cups pulled it down a notch. Good place for a quick weekday breakfast meeting.
