Growing Child Pediatrics

We had a bad experience at the location in the wal-​mart strip mall on new bern ave on a sunday with my newborn. Took her there for a billirubin check after being released from the hospital two days prior with a recommendation to get it checked within 48 hours. Over the phone we were told the staff could accomodate us and made a 9am appt. After waiting 20 minutes (we were the first people in the office) with a naked newborn we saw a nurse with tatoo’s all over her arms who told us to go to the hospital for them to check her billirubin. When I asked why we were told they could check her bilirubin there, she told me they didn’t do any labs and walked out of the room. I had another question after she left but I was told she was already seeing another patient and that my time was up. Got a bill in the mail a week later for $ 152. I wouldn’t reccomend going here if you are really in an urgent care situation, you should go to wake med which is .2 miles down new bern ave from this location.

I take my 3 sons there and the staff is friendly and well organized. the two doctors that I met with, Katherine and Soma (hope they are spelled correctly) were fantastic. I highly recommend!
