Awesome experience! After walking in we were immediately greeted just to know they were around if we needed help! They listened carefully to what we were looking for and worked and researched to get us the best deal! Denny and Carlos helped us I highly recommend working with both of them! Can’t wait to get my new washer and dryer !

Note: the review is for the store on Capital blvd. can’t find them on Unilocal Pros: They had what looked like the best price on town for the dishwasher we wanted. And they said they could deliver in two days. Cons: 1. They had models on display that they didn’t actually have, not just not in stock, but discontinued. Including the one we wanted. 2. Bought the display model. But only after having to tour every other model with salesman. 3. Prices all involved rebates, which is annoying. 4. Delivery got postponed due to them not having the installation kit. 5. Delivery got postponed again due to weather. Not unreasonable. BUT I had to call to discover that. They did not. And I needed to call to find out when. 6. On 3rd delivery(now a week late). They are a No Show. No one expects conscientious attention to customer service post sale from big box stores. But Hhgregg managed to fail to approach even my low expectations.

I purchased a TV stand and that all went very smooth. The guy back in TVs was really nice and helped me load it in the car. They also had some really good deals on floor model TVs that were very tempting. That alone would have been a five star encounter, but I came back the next day with a family member to try to buy an iPad. On the main iPad display showing the prices for every iPad, it listed the iPad 2(older one) for $ 369, but under the iPad 2 itself it said $ 399. The guy told us that the $ 399 was the most current tag and that was the price. He said they don’t update the tags beside the main tag for the item and that they had just printed that tag today. Well WTF? If that is the price then it shouldn’t be listed 4 feet away for $ 40 less. There wasn’t even an offer to talk to a manager or something to do the $ 369. So we walked out without buying of course, and will probably end up buying one at BB or through the Apple store.

I was in the mood to spend a little dough that was gifted to me at Christmas. Off to Best Buy we went and looked at stuff. While there, I looked up consumer reports and then to HHGregg’s website to see what they had. They actually had the product I «Really» wanted, which wasn’t at Best Buy. Out the door we went, and hopped on over across the way to HHGregg. We were quick, we were nimble, we knew exactly what we wanted, and it was ONSALE!!! SCORE!!! I’ve never had a customer service issue with HHGregg, we bought our washer/dryer here, as well as our fridge… I hope that day never comes. If it does, y’all are gonna hear about it, one way or the other.

I must say that this company has the worst customer service. They are quick to sell you any product and try to push everything. When it comes to service for what they sell it is awful. There is no human element here and they just send you off to a 1800 #. I tried calling the number and was on hold for more than 20 mins before I gave up. I called into the manger but I could sense that he didn’t have the training to fully grasp the situation. I am going to never buy anything from this chain again. There are too many options out there to half to deal with a company that doesn’t stand behind its products and its customers. They will worry about losing business when more people realize they are only concerned about the quick sale and not the possible long term relationship with customers.

I had a very different and much more positive experience than the other reviewer. I decided that I wanted to take advantage of the tax-free weekend and get a new computer. So, I did some research and first went to another large electronics store, where they were herding people like cattle into the computer section(it was all blocked off except for a specified entrance and exit point). They wanted people to fill out forms before looking at computers – the whole process was very off-putting. So, we left and went to HH Gregg. What a welcome change! They were friendly and helpful, but not pushy. I got home and was very excited about my new computer only to get it out of the box and realize that it didn’t work. :(After an hour+ on the phone with tech support, the outcome was that I needed to return the computer to the store. This morning I went back to HH Gregg, but went to a different location(Brier Creek) because we were told yesterday that I had gotten the last of the model I purchased at the first location. The staff were again very friendly and happy to check the computer and once they agreed that they could not resolve the problem in the store, they were happy to return the computer. Although they had more of this model in stock, they ended up recommending a different computer(which was actually my first choice, but the first store was out of stock). It cost less than the one I had bought and for my trouble they gave me a $ 50 discount on a software package that I would have needed to buy anyway. Overall, it was a happy resolution to a very frustrating situation and I am typing this review on my new computer. Yay!

After making several purchases and being so satisfied that I recommended the store to friends/coworkers, I experienced some of the worst customer service ever from retail establishment. Not only did the management verbally harass me when asking for a price match, both managers clapped when I exited the store stating«Don’t worry, losing your business won’t hurt me.» Hhgregg need not worry, I won’t be purchasing another product from any of their stores.
