Icy Hot Heating and Air Conditioning

Our lower level heat went out day before Thanksgiving. I called Frank at Icy Hot Heating and Air Conditioning after the holiday weekend (Thank goodness we had a mild week). He was very accommodating with his schedule and arraigned a service call based on my needs.
He arrived with his assistant this morning at exactly the schedule time and promptly inspected the inside portion of the heating system. Next he inspected the outdoor portion I call the «BEAST». Within minutes the Icy Hot HVAC team diagnosed the problem and fixed it.
Frank took the time to give me a five minute tutorial on how a gas pack system works and what to look for when problems arise. I know (and so does he) our unit is on its last leg and it is only a matter of time before the «BEAST» is graciously retire to the HVAC yard in the sky. With that agreed upon, he also logged the model and parts numbers of my unit so in the future he will know exactly what he needs to get the job done before he comes out!
I can not recommend any other HVAC company more than Icy Hot Heating and Air Conditioning! Frank was Frank, not a random employee from a mega-company…My family is his customer, not a credit card number. As long as Icy Hot is in business they will be my HVAC company.

I believe I was one of Frankie’s earliest customers, and he has earned my business for a good long time.
Every time I call, he’s prompt, professional and best of all, honest — he has been very clear with me that my nearly 20-​yr old systems are running on borrowed time, but has not tried to push me into replacement like so many HVAC outfits will do.
On his latest call, he remembered that the unit he was checking is a ‘pack’, so it’s all outdoors. Which meant I didn’t have to be home. He stopped by, took care of the problem by 11 am, called me, and sent an e-​mail invoice. That’s how I like to do business.

Frankie told me he would schedule a technician for between 3 & 5 pm the next day. That’s exactly the way it happened. The service tech was friendly and professional, even putting on shoe covers before entering the house. He diagnosed the issue with the furnace and I was charged a fair price for the repair. I’ll definitely be calling them back if I have any future issues.

Frankie and his fellow workers are extremely reputable and honest. I’ll always use them for all my HVAC needs. We recently had some issues with both our units and they did a fantastic job of repairing both units. We had two other estimates with local HVAC companies and discovered that Frankie was the most knowledgeable and fair. I’m so happy we found them! We could have spent lots of $$$ and not even addressed the problem. It’s amazing how many HVAC companies out there are unskilled and total rip offs. Frankie and Icy Hot will always be our HVAC specialists!

Called them on Monday and they arriced Tuesday morning at the arranged time. Quickly identified the problem, told me how much it would cost to repair, and promptly performed the repairs. Absolutely professional in all respects. I highly recommend them if your looking for an honest and skilled air conditioning service company.

Franky does good work, I’ve called him multiple times, he’s very responsive. Franky is honest, straightforward, and doesn’t beat around the bush and give you bs about this work,. Does the work neatly and explains it if you needed it. He works quickly and efficiently, both times my AC repairs were done in under an hour. I would call him again. You could find a cheaper AC repair crew, but then again, you’ll get what you pay for!

My AC went out during the hottest days of summer that we’ve had so far. I called Icy Hot Heating and Cooling after having called another company in the area. The other company had installed my new heating and AC unit approximately 3 years ago. When the other company came out they informed me that repairs to the unit would cost me $ 1883.00. Icy Hot came out, and did the repairs for around $ 600 including cleaning and replacing the filters for me. I’ll be calling Icy Hot for any repairs I need in the future. Awesome, and affordable!

I called at 5pm on a Tuesday, the technician was there by 4pm the next day. Service was professional, affordable, and quick. I highly recommend.

Hey why should my HVAC system be any different than most and go out when we have 100 degree days?
Based upon Unilocal positive reviews I decided to contact this business. I sent a message via their website before 7am on Monday morning and received a phone call less than two hours later. Regretfully they could not do the work that day and made an appointment for Tuesday between 10 and noon.
I got a phone call a little after 9 on Tuesday morning and they asked if they could come before the scheduled time. My answer was OF COURSE!
There was nothing major wrong with the system, and my HVAC was back in business in about an hour.
Worker was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. It will be the company I call again should the system need attention.

I can’t say enough good things about Frankie and Icy Hot Heating and Air Conditioning. Frankie was responsive and was able to come to my home the same day I called him about our broken AC unit. Frankie was very kind and professional and explained exactly what had happened and how it can be fixed now and avoided in the future. It was taken care of quickly and inexpensively and the house is now cool and breezy. Icy Hot has a customer for life and we’ve already recommended their services to several of our friends. Exceptional HVAC company. Frankie and team are extremely responsive, do a quality job at a fair price, and go above and beyond for their customers. I would highly recommend them to anyone. We are customers for life.

Honest professionals. I have called IcyHot last Friday for the AC not cooling, Frankie and his partner showed up at 8 am on Monday as agreed without any nuisance phone calls one must take otherwise the tech will not come for an arranged appointment. After a short conversation about the issue, the guys went to check the AC, found the leak, Frankie talked to me about possible solutions to the problem, and fixed it as I have requested. The thermostat display was not working and I have asked Frankie to replace it. He looked at the thermostat and replaced the batteries at no charge. The thermostat is good as new and Frankie saved me few hundred bucks I was about to spend on an unnecessary replacement.

My AC went out a week ago. Luckily the weather was getting cooler out so I was in no rush. I called Frankie at Icy Hot on Satruday and he said he can come over on Sunday. YES, SUNDAY. not even 12 hours after I called. Who does that? He came over, opened up my AC panel and immediately found the problem, a bug got fried in my capacitor and that caused my problem. Frankie went to his van, brought some parts and swapped out the bad parts for good ones and now my AC works.
Talk about great customer service! I was just expecting him to open up the AC, see whats wrong and tell me he can some by Monday and fix it. But he was able to do it right away.
Other companys wanted to charge me a diagnostics fee first or a maintenance fee just to get in there to see what the problem was. Some other company said I am better off replacing my whole unit because it looked like it was struck by lightening.
Frankie was real with me. Came over, opened it, told me what the problem is and fixed it.
I wish everything else was that easy.

I’ve been very pleased with the service I’ve received from Frankie. He is fast, courteous, and obviously good at his job. While I hope I don’t need to use his service again any time soon, I know who I’ll be calling if my AC or heat goes out.

Frank was awesome! He was at my house within a couple of hours of calling him. He knew his stuff, explained everything to me, and fixed my AC unit in a flash.

Came out same day and fixed my AC on the cheap. No upsell and he didn’t treat me like an idiot. Would definitely use again.

I am somewhat skeptical on occasion with excellent reviews I read especially on service companies since they can be so subjective. Frankie and Icy Hot are the real deal. Waking up to a busted heat pump on a freezing morning is a serious bummer. Icy Hot was there within the hour, quickly assessed the problem and reviewed the options I had. Unlike the big franchise HVAC companies there was no strong upsell. He was focused on what would make financial sense for my situation, what would give me the biggest bang for the buck and within a day I was up and running with a new system at an excellent price. If you have heating and air issues Frankie is your Man. I highly recommend him and he is a contractor you can trust.

Not impressed with Icy Hot. Took him about four hours to call me back. He couldn’t come out for three days after we called. Seemed unfriendly on the phone. It was like he didn’t have time to talk to me. He spent less than 30 minutes at my house and determined my heat pump compressor was bad. I asked him for a quote on a new system. He said he would provide me a qoute by Monday. That was on a Friday. I never heard back from him. I wonder how he could advise me on a new system without coming in the house. He said he didn’t need to do load calculations or take meaturements. These guys might be okay to do simple repairs but I would stay away from them with major repairs.
We ended up using Mitchell Heating in Cooling out of Rolesville for our new heat pump system. Allen Mitchell the owner is awesome. Our Nest thermostat went haywire and he was at the house within 45 minutes on the Friday after Christmas. I installed the Nest so it wasn’t even his fault. He didn’t charge me one dime!

Recently, one of our AC units stopped working. Frankie made arrangements to come to our house the next day between 9:00 and 11:00. By 9:30 the day of appointment, Frankie was on the phone to me to let me know it looked like his current appointment was going to go late and he wanted to let me be aware of this and see if it would still work with my schedule. Great communication! (By the way, he wasn’t late, but it was great to know he cares enough to call ahead.)
After replacing a blown fuse, the unit was still not working. It was clear that there was an electrical issue. Although I had preferred to get it taken care of immediately, I was impressed that Frankie was professional enough to recognize he is not an electrician. However, he gave me a few ideas of what he thought it might be and, as it turned out, it was a simple issue I was able to fix myself with the info he gave me.
Five minutes after leaving my house, he called and asked if he could come back since there was one more thing he wanted to try as a last ditch effort. Though it didn’t work, again I was impressed that he cared enough to take even more time trying to resolve the problem.
Frankie was very knowledgeable, responsive, has great communication, professional, courteous. His fee for the visit was $ 15+ less than I’ve paid in the past. There is no hesitation for me to recommend Frankie to anyone, nor for me to call him again.
