My husband and I brought our 2.5 year old darling daughter for her first haircut and we are so happy with the service that we got. Our daughter loved picking out what seat she would get and what movie she could watch! Our daughters stylist Shakeisha did an amazing job and even went the extra step and styled her hair. She also took the time to show us what she was doing, so we could do our daughters hair the same way! As this is pretty far for us, I assumed we would only go for her first haircut and then a closer place from then on, but because of the great service, we might be making that trip until she gets a bit older. Thanks so much for making this a fun and positive experience for the whole family! We will definitely recommend to other parents!

My little lady got her very first haircut at JJ’s today. It was nice and clean with plenty of stuff to keep your kids occupied while waiting. I was a walk in and apparently I got super lucky because they usually can’t accommodate walk-ins, so I recommend making an appointment. They sure know what they’re doing when it comes to kids hair cuts. They had video games at a little computer station, indoor playground, play house, kitchen set, tv at each hair cutting station with cool cars to sit in, an impressive vhs collection for your kiddo to pick out a movie while they get their hair done. The stylist was very friendly and patient. I’m sure in her line of work there’s no other way, but it’s always appreciated. This will be my go to place for a quick friendly haircut for my little one in the future. It will run you $ 18 for a kids cut, $ 16 if you have a coupon. They have a $ 2 off coupon on their website.

Excellent hair cuts. I been to cheaper places that were a lot more convenient to my home, but this where I take my kids. I’ve been here 4 times. Last time there was a child with special needs and I couldn’t have imagined a more patient, caring experience that family received. They are easy to schedule appointments with and they are always friendly and welcoming. The little play area in front is great and they each get to choose their own movie to watch while getting their haircut. Until they’re 6 or so I think kids would enjoy this place. After that they would probably out-grow the special cars to sit in. I have been there when they are busy and had to wait ~20 minutes. But if you go at a non-peak time then you get all the attention and don’t have to wait. I would call and tell them what you need. They are very accommodating.

My sweet baby is not so sweet when it comes to hair cuts. He’s a monster actually. To be fair, we have some medical issues creating a PTSD issue, but this place can handle it. They are so good to him here and amazingly quick. This is the ONLY place we will even try to get his hair cut anymore. We drive 45 minutes to get here. They have toys and movies and candy. If you have some special circumstances this is the place for you. I dont even know how much it cost, but I know my husband(yes it takes 2 of us) adds an extra $ 10 in tip. Bless their souls for creating a place like this for our 3 hair cuts a year.

They have cut my son’s hair twice now. He’s two so you can imagine this is not his favorite thing to be apart of. They were calm and professional all through the anti haircut apocalypse that ensued. The stylist did a great job and succeed in giving him a good looking cut. I’m sure she could trim up a honey badger if she so desired.

After taking our son to Sport Clips, we decided to try something new. Our son has his moments when it comes to getting his hair cut and if you can’t keep his attention the mood can go from yay hair cut to heck no in a few seconds flat! This place kept him entertained and actually gave him a decent haircut. I think the best part is they work WITH the child. Unlike some places who will do a child’s cut but you can tell they are either nervous or just not in the mood. This will be our go-to spot for our son’s hair cuts from now on!

We love JJ’s Kids’ Cuts. Our son is a very reluctant hair customer, and here is one place where it all works smoothly. It’s not over-stimulating, but there’s plenty of excitement and distraction. Select a video, pick a colorful car or motorcycle chair, and the stylist takes over… putting both the kid and the parent at ease. The cuts are great — somehow — despite all the squirming and wincing, and the stylist really listens to what the parent suggests regarding style and length. It seems a little pricey for a juvenile head of hair, but you soon realize it’s worth every penny and more. Little sis loves the jumbo slide and mini kitchenette while she waits — double-bonus for JJ’s! Check for coupons online before your visit, and they tend to get pretty busy on weekends, so don’t hesitate to make an appointment.

My six year old son wanted a mow hawk before school started this year so I took him to J J’s and we both really liked it. They have tons of movies for kids to pick from so they can be entertained while getting their hair cut and the staff is very friendly.

We have been taking our 4 yr old to JJ’s since his very first haircut. We see Ms Maria and she is WONDERFUL with kids. The kids get to pick out a movie from their wide selection(although it is VHS) and watch it while getting their hair cut. If the movie doesn’t distract them, then just watch Ms Maria shine. She knows how to make the kids feel at ease even when she’s using clippers! I do tend to tell her exactly how I want his hair to look and when she should cut more and where. She always does a good job and gets his cut exactly like I like it. I recommend this place to all my friends with kids — it’s worth the price!
