Jimmy John’s

I just ordered a sandwich today and I’ve been waiting for over an hour, and my office is just across the street! I’ve ordered from here plenty of times before, and the delivery times are so inconsistent. Sometimes it’s quick, other times they take forever. Don’t order from here if you’re looking for reliable service! Freaky fast delivery? No way.
Update: Called the restaurant 20 minutes ago, they said our food was on the way. On the phone with them now because they still have not delivered the sandwiches. Now we are being told that no one ever even made the sandwiches! Not to mention the workers were completely unprofessional on the phone, and we had to speak with three different people to figure out what was going on. I will not be ordering from this location again.

The food is OK, but there is a level of incompetence that I have grown to expect from them. I order from them while at work because, there are days that I don’t have the time to leave the office.
I typically order an Arnold Palmer with my order. About half the time I at least get a drink. About a quarter of the time they will actually get the drink order right.
Today, I had to call to tell them they forgot my drink. (They leave the food with the receptionist.)
About forty-​five minutes later they arrive with my drink. The ice had melted, it’s just unsweet tea, and no straw.
Also, a napkin would be nice with my order.

Jimmy John’s makes good sandwiches. I like most of their items on the menu. I like the slightly crunchy buns they use, they make the sandwich for me. Of course, they serve them to you super fast, which is appreciated.

I don’t understand the hype of this place. The bread is bleh and they put such a small serving of meat. I like that you can get ‘slims’ for cheaper without toppings but I wish with the slim you could get butter or mayo to help with the dryness of the bread.

I order Jimmy Johns often but today must’ve not been my day or something. It took them about 45minutes to deliver my sub, mind you I stay right down the street-​literally 2minutes away. But that’s not why I gave it 1 star. I always order the Italian Nightclub; but today I wanted to try something new. Which turned out to be a big mistake! I decided to try the Totally Tuna. I took about 3 bites and when I went in for another I noticed a black speck sitting on top of some tuna. It was way too big to be pepper or any seasoning for that matter. My eyes aren’t that good so I picked it up and put it on the tip of my finger. I don’t know what kind of bug it was, but it was definitely a bug! I even squeezed it lol and some guts came out. Freaking GROSS!!! I called them back and the same man that delivered my food was the same one that answered my call. Said he would bring me a new sub. I waited about an hour and called back which the manager answered and said nobody even put the order in or told him about my incident. Smh I’m never ordering from there again. If yall do… check your food first please.

They really are freaky fast! I like jimmy johns for what it is, which is a quick, pre-​conceived sandwich for a decent price. I use to live very close to the shop and have eaten many many sandwiches here. The chips they offer are delicious! If you’re in the mood for a satisfying sandwich come here, but if you want to choose from a large array of toppings/​vegetables I suggest heading somewhere else.

One star for good food. Everything else about this location is slacking. Freaky fast delivery? No. I’ve been waiting now almost 45 minutes for my sandwich. Not planning on ordering from this location for a while. Each time I’ve called to check on the status of the order they keep saying «it’ll be there in 10 minutes.» Well, 45 minutes later and still no sandwich. Debating how much longer to wait until I call and just cancel…
Side note: I ended up canceling my order and they could have cared less. No apology, just an OK we’ve canceled it. *Sigh*

My biggest complaint is that there is insufficient seating for a college location. I went there for lunch with a colleague after a library run, and we couldn’t find a seat.
Aside from that, it’s got the normal sandwiches made just about the same way as every other place. You’ll definitely get the consistency you expect at this location.

The location that started my on-​going affair with Jimmy. Now that I’ve moved twice since college, I’m thankful to find that Jimmy hasn’t left me hanging once. I’ve always been able to find another location to remind me of those sweet days when we were first introduced on Hillsborough St. But don’t worry, amongst all these formidable suitors, I’ve never found one who can compete with the awesome loft in the back of your store! Find yourself up there for a cozy perch to enjoy your sandwich, a quiet study spot, and maybe even an affordable, secluded date right next to campus!

Out of all the Jimmy Johns this one is the highest rated place so far. Why? they are open until 3am which is an added plus if you are tired of breakfast food or McDonalds. This is a good alternative at a decent price.
As soon as you order the food is handed back to you because of the organized fast staff. Also it is very fresh. I have never had a problem with my order. The chip selection is pretty good but rather on the very crunchy side. Good selection of soda choices and even iced tea. The cookies are awesome and huge too.
A good sign is that there is never aggressive panhandling inside or out. This is taken care of by staff immediately. Plenty of seating upstairs or downstairs. A good selection of music is always playing. Most of all they deliver to your home!

The friendliest place to stop on Hillsborough and the food is typically fresh. The guys making the sandwiches almost always have my food ready before I’ve even finished paying and they appear to be incessantly smiling.
Fast. Friendly. Yes please.

Fast sammies. Not great, but not bad. What more would you expect? BTW, They sure do like to fill their drinks up with ice.
