Was in Raleigh for a conference, and this place was a minute’s walk from the hotel. This was the first Jimmy John’s I’ve been to, and I was pleasantly surprised. Ordering was easy, the wait wasn’t bad, and I got a good sandwich for what I think was cheap. Got the Italian sub, which was flavorful, but the standout for me was the bread. Slightly crusty and really tasty, it made the sandwich.

I mean, with just a little over 10 bucks, I can get a massive delicious sandwich delivered to my office with a can of coke and that includes tip and delivery! YAY! Never going to subway again after finding this place. Thanks for the nice delivery guy for super fast lunch delivery! :)

Standard Jimmy John’s don’t go between 12 – 1 all the businesses downtown are there. There’s a line out the door, fortunately they still move fast and the people who work there are pleasant. A quick-cheap bite to eat.

Very unhappy with the quality. Got a roast beef sandwich today, one slice of meat, really only one slice. The last couple of time I ordered it was just sub par. No more orders from Joe at firestone.

Gotta admit I love Jimmy Johns and their sandwiches are aces. This location though is probably the lower end of the Jimmy Johns experience I guess. The subs we got tasted like the bread was the day old stuff and the girl taking my order messed it up a little after first confusing me on what the hell I was actually trying to order. Granted, not a huge task throwing me for a loop but it’s usually a pretty simple transaction. Anywho, I’d stay away from this spot unless you are in a hurry or just don’t care.

If they don’t know my name here already, they will soon. I am currently outside the delivery area, but in a couple months that should change. Jimmy John’s is well known for making sandwiches with blistering speed. The sandwiches have their own unique taste, thanks to their mayo and bread. I’m also a big fan of their chocolate chip cookies and their kettle chips. This location has served me well so far. I’ve grabbed many sandwiches during City Plaza events. Though now I am usually opting for Happy + Hale salads instead. There are plenty of seats outside the restaurant — look for the red chairs and tables. At Hopscotch 2011, I ripped the door of its hinge. I seriously don’t think it was because I’m incredibly strong, but I’ll take credit for that.

Love the food, can’t stand the fact they wouldn’t deliver a mile & ½ away. Ordered online for pickup as a result. Easy Peasy! I think they make the bread with crack — it’s that addicting! Return visits are going to be limited as I rarely get around to this section of town.

Sandwiches are largely tasteless, even the Italian sub. How did they manage that one? The condiment selection is baffling; cucumbers instead of pickles? OK, not the end of the world, but they really don’t have any salt or pepper available? Would that run the risk of adding too much flavor to the sandwiches? Finally, the«clever» signs plastered on every square inch of available wall space are insufferable. No, you do not want to see me naked. No, I did not think that this take-out sandwich stand with no seating took reservations. No, I am not at all impressed by how zany and wacky you are. Good place to grab a quick sandwich without breaking the bank if you’re short on time, but eminently avoidable otherwise.

Terrible delivery service. I waited 40 minutes and had to call to see if the food was on its way. I received my order over an hour after it was placed and I live less than a mile away. I wish I had just driven to a different establishment for takeout, very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this location.

I really enjoy Jimmy John’s sandwiches and I frequently call for delivery at this location for lunch. However, the past two times I’ve called, I have been very dissatisfied. *Both* times the order-by-phone employee can’t seem to get my order right, then forgets my credit card number and we have to start all over again and when he gives me a summary of my order, forgets my order AGAIN! It also sounds like he is talking to someone else while I am trying to place my order. Then he laughs. I don’t know if he is really that incompetent or is messing with me. This past time I called and waited for an hour and 20 minutes. When I called around the hour mark to check on the status of my order(since I work .3 miles away), the same kid I spoke with initially started«guessing» what time the delivery biker left and told me it should be there any minute. I told him I would wait 15 more minutes. After 20 minutes, I called back to cancel my order and the same kid I spoke with earlier actually sounded *happy* I was cancelling my order! My word of advice to you: If you decide to order delivery and expect to eat within the hour, I *highly* recommend going elsewhere for your meal.

This location sucks! This is my 2nd time ordering over phone for delivery. The customer service sucks, did not ask my name or suite number for business, order came incomplete the delivery person had the nerve to lie and tell me it was in bag. I demanded he go back and complete my order and bring some napkins which should have been in my bag as well. Well my order is still incomplete. Did not apologize for inconvience. So i missed out on 20 mins of lunch due to them. I call manager(hunter) he expresses next time he will take care of order… excuse me there wont be a next time if you choose not to do anything about this now! I will also let my co-worker know about this and they will lose business immediately!!!

Love Jimmy John’s. I used to go there frequently with one of my friends when I worked downtown. I love their italian sub and I am also a fan of their jalapeño chips. They don’t lie about being quick either!

Not bad drunk food or once a year dollar sub. Short on meat. Bread could be better. More topping choices.

Good spot for uptown late night grub. Food is good, service was quick and it was right across the street from my hotel!

Conveniently located near the Raleigh Convention Center, this sandwich shop makes it easy to grab lunch on the go. I confess, I’ve never been a big fan of Jimmy John’s, but a colleague recommended the tuna, so I decided to give them another try. It was worth it. I really like the #3 — Totally Tuna — served on French bread with all the fixings. A bottle of water and a bag of salty, crispy chips and I’m good to go for the rest of the afternoon. Friendly service and a bright, clean storefront add to the quirky charm of this sandwich chain. Plus, free smells!

This is more a commentary on the business in general, and more specifically the online ordering interface, than it is a critique of this particular Fayetteville Street location: I’m a fan. Not only can you preview the sandwiches – and the nutritional information for their ingredients – using Jimmy John’s interactive menu, but you can save your favorite sandwiches and schedule delivery many days out when ordering online. It’s a really slick interface. As for the food, it’s similar to Subway, but with slightly different pairings and taste subtleties; for instance, the French-style bread Jimmy John’s uses is less spongy and bulky, and seems more appropriately matched to a sub. My only complaint so far is that when I asked for«extra tomato,» I only got«tomato.»(I’ll be more emphatic about that next time.) If you’re working downtown, this is a great location. Just place your order online, then enjoy a nice 5-minute walk down the main drag before picking up your tasty sandwich and trotting happily back to your lunch table, wherever that may be. Or just be lazy and get it delivered. Either way, I think you’ll be a fan, too.

Love jimmy johns. Exactly like the others, quick friendly service. Yummy sandwich. I took one star off for the location. It was hard to find parking and I just wanted to grab my #12 and be on my way.

The sub was simple and tasted great for a Sub, Price is about the same as Subway,
