DONOTSIGNUNTILYOUREAD!!! Absolutely one of the worst customer service storage experiences I’ve ever had. We rented 2 units for a few months while we sold our house and moved. Everything seemed ok at first but then we started having issues. No one would be in the office at opening time. When the phone was answered the gentleman and/or sometimes older sounding lady had no idea what was going on or how to charge a credit card or change payment. We rented the truck and the same frazzled strange man helped us. He would not move the truck out or put it back into the small place where it is parked. He was unsure how to handle the billing. We left with no paperwork and nothing saying a transaction had occurred. When we did our final move out we noticed that water had leaked, I think gushed is a more appropriate term, in the corner of one of the units. In that corner was all the family photos, scrap books, keep sakes, collectible magazines and a box of high quality winter wool socks and some underwear. The frazzled, strange guy who was there said he would take photos, call the manager and let him know and he was sure they would«do something» for us. We left the moldy, mildewed mess in the unit and waited for a call the next day. No phone call. We drove over and spoke to the manager Ralph. He was rude, dismissive and just plain ugly. He refused to even listen, much less help. We had to go into the office several times to speak with him because he would just walk away while yelling. He said he had not been informed about the situation. However, he let slip that he had seen the photos the owner/employee had taken the day before. He not only did all these things but he then takes our code out of the system. We paid for a full month of service. If I want to check to make sure everything is out of the unit, now I can’t. So not only did all this happen but he shorted us a day without a refund. So we lost very personal, irreplaceable memories and Ralph could care less. This could be the worst place ever to store your things. Either the unit leaked during one of the heavy July thunderstorms or when Jimmy’s Minis cleaned out the gutters in June water got in. We were not asking for anything crazy in recompense. The way we were treated is just ridiculous. We don’t want others to go through this. Ralph went from friendly to rabid dog status in a snap. We had wanted to support local business but it looks like the big storage corporations are just more reliable. We won’t make the same mistake again and we hope you don’t either. And I’m hoping the owners read this as well. The manager told us never to in on Wednesday because the guy who worked that day was incompetent. He was not even allowed a password or access to the computer system. What kind of business is this guy running. And then to talk about an employee like that. Hopefully the family who owns this business will do some house cleaning.
