Lukonis Violins

My daughter’s private violin teacher recommended Lukonis Violins. Andrew Lukonis is (or was) a student of hers, and she purchased her violin from him.
Convenient location, well marked, very professional home business. Andrew is very friendly and helpful, and not pushy at all. He was quite patient while my daughter and I reviewed every violin in his shop for almost two hours. He told us what to listen for, offered feedback, and even played some of the violins himself. Prices are reasonable and include a bow and case.
We found a violin that we like, but since we’ve just started to look, will explore a bit more before making a final decision. We definitely recommend Lukonis Violins, and would feel confident purchasing from him.
Update: after shopping around, we returned to Lukonis Violins with a violin we liked from another source (something he encourages). After hearing both side by side, we decided that the one from Lukonis sounded better for my daughter’s style of play. We purchased it with confidence, and although Lukonis offers a 30 day return policy, I don’t think that it will be necessary. What a fun process!
