Lynnwood Brewing Concern

A much better experience than I’d anticipated.
We stopped by on a cold Saturday in late December after visiting Nickelpoint right up the road. We’d gone to their other location and didn’t expect much when we arrived as there it had been very off putting to «only» order beer. We were told that they could not honor our Dealsaver for the Black Jack pint glass, tour, and tasting deal but did give us a glass so that’s a good thing already. Our opinion would only go up from there.
The beer selection is fairly expansive for a local brewery. And all of the beers I tried (most of them) were solid. Nothing off about any of them. Even the root beer is good!
The single bartender was very friendly and helpful. She was there to answer any questions and chatted with us about the beers. She never even batted an eye when I ordered a second flight. I never saw a customer wait more than a minute to be served, even when she got very busy!
If you’re in the area, try and stop by. We will be back again.

Lynnwood brewing really transformed this place from Blackjack brewing… and its a good thing. Before it was basically a warehouse, games, and some odd tables, but not anymore! They have it a great atmosphere with custom tables and décor, it feels like a great space that you would want to go have a beer now.
We tried several beers the day we went and the brews have gotten much better over the years since Lynnwood first began brewing. I loved the porter, but, then again they are my jam.
I will say, the bartender could be more attentive, in a place where the only job is to pour beer, you would think he would want to do that? just a hunch though?

I was a bit disappointed to see Black Jack Brewing go, but I really like what Lynnwood has come in and done with the place. The inside is much nicer and a lot more inviting than Black Jack was. Also, Lynnwood’s beers are a heck of a lot better.
I love Lynnwood’s location in North Raleigh, and am hoping they eventually bring their food to this one. This location has a lot better beer selection than their NR location (as far as Lynnwood’s own beers go). The Bad Leroy Brown is still my favorite, no doubt!

Pleasantly surprised by Lynnwood Brewing and this location. We were in the area doing a brew crawl for a birthday party so we stopped in here on a Saturday night and the place was pretty empty. Nice space for a large group of people with plenty of seating and room to spread out. They did have a few games to entertain us but their foosball table was kind of garbage. Plenty of parking and the staff was super friendly. They have plenty of beer to choose from which include Ales, IPAs, Browns, Ambers, Stouts, and Porters. My husband and I shared a large flight ($ 9 for 6) and for me the Coconut Porter was the clear winner. You can check out their website to see what Food Trucks are available. All and all a great experience and I look forward to their Beer Garden that is opening in the spring.

Lynnwood Grill Restaurant has finally opened their taproom, Lynnwood Brewing Concern, in the space that was previously occupied by Blackjack Brewing Company. I do like what they have done with the space, lots of seating options, both inside and outside, and there are TV’s behind the bar to cheer your team on!
Boyfriend and I both got a flight of 4 beers for $ 6 which is a great price.
Beer Flight 1 — Blonde Moment Belgian Blonde, Full Nelson Imperial Red Ale, Czech Yourself Pilsner and 5 Points Pale Ale
The Blonde was definitely my favorite out of both flights and the Red Ale was the runner-​up.
Beer Flight 2 — Hop on Top IPA, Big Papi Porter, Coconut Porter and Kiss My Irish Stout
I was not a fan of this flight, the Big Papi Porter was definitely my least favorite. I was disappointed in the Coconut Porter too, if you are looking for a good Coconut beer around the area then I recommend the Coconut Stout from Bombshell.
Overall, the beers are so-​so. I do recommend that you check this place out though since everyone has their own opinion of what a good beer is, you can even make a brewery day of it and walk to Sub Noir and Big Boss.

I am extremely happy this place opened! I have always loved Lynwood’s beer and now they have opened up a beautiful taproom! The location is very industrial, but this allows for ample parking and an interesting outdoor patio area. The taproom has a very cute hipster/​country feel with pretty light fixtures that illuminate the large high ceilings. Lots of table, bar, and covered patio seating for big and small groups of people. The staff is extremely friendly and the prices are on par with the rest of Raleigh… even though their beer is 1,000x better.
