Monkey Joes

Have never seen such a filthy & unsafe place for kids! Every inflatable has multiple patches and needs to be replaced. One bounce structure had multiple zip ties with uncut ends that are sticking up. The giant slide cover is loose and unsecured so kids are scraping themselves while sliding down. And the manager (tall bubbly personality) was working the check in and tearing apart arm-​bands in his mouth before putting them on kids. DISGUSTING!

First off, all of the staff are wonderful. They’re good with children, friendly and attentive. The inflatables are very worn. Most are being held together by duct tape. For the price of admission per child, I would expect better quality!

Sydney is awesome. He was very helpful helped us with any issues. Got us napkins when we neded. The place is fun and kids had a blast. Would recommend.

Not bad afternoon entertainment if you don’t mind forking out some cash. Monkey Joes has gotten pretty pricey for a 5 beat up inflatables that the average child can play on. At $ 11 a child I think they can have more variety of inflatables, and ones in better condition that don’t leave abrasions on your child’s legs. I’m not in a hurry to go back.

We’ve been to the Charlotte area locations previously and am disappointed with this one. Most of the bounce houses have patches. In Charlotte there are shorter toilets for the kids, and in at least the girl’s bathroom, they are just standard size. Too bad this is the only local location. Still, my son had fun. And as a parent I can appreciate that some of the refs actually monitor the activities of the kids so no one gets hurt.

My niece decided to have a birthday event here and there is a lot to do if you like jumping on air filled things for hours.
It is located in a shopping center near tons of shopping. It’s situated between marshals and family dollar with plenty of parking. When you enter you’re overwhelmed with the smell of popcorn and dirty socks. At the counter, an employee asks you to sign a waiver and they put a wrist band with a number coded to the child you’re with or party of children. I believe this is there safety measure to keep account of lost children.
There’s a concession stand at the front with all of the unhealthy foods kids typically love like hot dogs, pizza, sodas, and candy. There’s plenty of seating and towards the back of venue there’s picnic style seating options. The pros about this place, plenty of things for kids to do, a lot of space for kids to run around, and safe. The cons, the place smells, the carpets were filthy, and I’m unsure if they clean the games and air filled play areas.
My niece called it «germy Joe’s» but loves it as much as the other children.

Very clean and not too crowded. Staffs are very attentive. Compared to other monkey joes, i love this one the most.

I got a groupon for this place and its a great concept! The inflatables were awesome and I think I had more fun on them than the kid I was with! My complaints are the employees weren’t super friendly and the place was HOT. It was like there was no air conditioning. I got sweaty within 5 minutes and that was before I even helped climb and slide, etc. I was also toting around a 5 month old and I can’t go back until they get the air conditioning going good, it can’t be safe for kids to be inside an oven basically. If you can put up with that though please check it out, it’s very fun!

Great place! First time here and the kids are loving it. Lots of great inflatables, the staff has been extremely friendly, and the place is clean. Definitely will become a regular.

Love coming here with my kids during the week when they are on track out and when it is quiet, they burn off all that stored up energy. They can play for as long as they’d like our as long as I can tolerate the noise because it is loud. On the down side is the food, you can purchase food but cannot bring in your own, so kids can get grumpy pretty quickly. All in all my kids love this place and it doesn’t break the bank!

I brought my two daughters and their cousin here and was not impressed. When we first came in, the check in area was just confusing. The girl working behind the counter was not friendly or engaging, and did not ask us what we were here for, so we accidentally signed in for someone s birthday party. The floors were in need of vacuuming and the inflatables were in serious need of repair or replacement. A lot of them had patches that were not even fully applied. It seemed about every 5 – 10 minutes, a child was asking for a band aid because they had gotten rub burn from the slides. And because of that, I saw several band aids on the floor and equipment. The food was horrible, but that’s really your only option since outside food isn’t allowed. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any healthy options. The only positive was that the kids did have fun jumping around, and wore them out.

Came here with just my son and daughter for my son’s third birthday. It was on a Wednesday and the place was pretty empty. Maybe four other families?
It was ridiculously clean. I was expecting to be ignored, but instead the manager treated us better than I’ve ever been treated at any bounce house place. In addition to the cute little birthday sticker they give, the manager gave my son a free toy and both my kids got free T-​shirts and stickers. We were checked on multiple times by staff to make sure we were having a great time.
The food is what you would expect — pizza and nachos, etc. but the pizza was fresh and they were very friendly.
Other locations are closer for us but we will be coming back to this one for sure.

I love it here! My son had ADHD and this helps burn off some of that energy. Staff is pretty cool and the kids get to run wild like their in some jungle lol. It’s relaxing for me and I suggest every child goes here once in their life.

I brought my son here to give it a try. I reviewed the website before and it states parents can assist, but apparently not I’m the area for children under 3. My son is very timid and so parental assistance is key for him. We will try again later. Also the staff are less than helpful unless you are a kid who wants to play.

P-​U. It smells like feet and kid sweat in here. No surprise, huh?
The birthday party attendants do a good job. The attendants for the amusements are horrible. They don’t insure safety. More often than not, they’re on their cellphones, trying to hide from a manager. Awesome times.

Oh Monkey Joe’s how I have a love hate relationship with you. I love how I only need the kids to spend an hour there for them to run like crazy, play, and get all of their energy out. I hate that I can’t bring my own food there and I am not fond of the dirty diaper smell of your bathroom.
If you have kids and they need to burn off some extra energy — this is the place to go. It’s huge. Multiple slides, bounce houses, inflatables. Lots of room to go crazy. They have party rooms and lots of chairs on the side for parents to sit in. They also have wi-​fi so you can bring your laptop. They have a couple of computer stations too, but they weren’t working well.
There are arcade games. An area for young toddlers who might be scared of the big slides. Also a small indoor play set.
Cons — You can not bring outside food and they don’t seem to have healthy food in stock. Mostly chips, candy, junk food. They have pizza but it didn’t look too appetizing. Monkey Joe’s would have gotten an extra star if they had soft pretzles. Don’t tempt me with a big pretzle heating thing-​a-​ma-​jig if you don’t have them.
I’ve never been when there has been a birthday party or when it was really crowded. I don’t think my nerves can take it. If you go during the day when school is in session it’s pretty quiet.

Monkey Joe’s is a pretty typical kids’ inflatable playground. They have 7 – 8 larger inflatables ranging from bouncy houses, obstacle courses, and one is a HUGE slide which is a favorite of all ages. They also have a toddler bounce area that is off-​limits to older kids, so you don’t have to worry about the younger kids getting completely trampled, and a baby play area (non-​bounce; walled off) as well as a small selection of arcade games, food, and toys for sale.
GO EARLY. There are some comfortable padded swiveling recliner and massage chairs, situated near a television. The TV is kind of a moot point as the volume usually isn’t sufficient to be heard over the background din of kids incessantly shrieking and laughing, but if there’s a game on, at least you can catch the score. If you can’t land one of the premium seats, you get stuck sitting at picnic tables– the same uncomfortable, metal-​covered-​in-​hard-​plastic picnic tables you’d find at, say, Pullen Park. Not the best as your kids are going to want to stay for hours.
SOCKS ARE REQUIRED. If you forget your socks they will sell you a pair, but since you’re already paying admission, why pay extra for socks when you probably have a billion mismatched, mate-​long-​since-​missing, all-​sizes socks sitting in a laundry hamper at home. what? Just me? Ok then.
Admission is reasonable, around $ 8/​kid I believe, but adults get in free and you have the option of leaving and having free same-​day re-​entry.
Also, I like the safety plan in place here: Kids and parents wear matching wristbands with numbers written on in Sharpie, and they actually check them before you leave, to make sure #42 parent isn’t trying to sneak out with kid #37 and leave their own little monkey behind.
This is a great activity for a random rainy day or when it’s so hot in the summer and you just can’t face another day at the pool. I’d also recommend sticking to weekdays if at all possible because it can get overcrowded on weekends.

aside from the surround sound of screaming children this place is pretty cool.
kids have too much energy, as they ofter do, this is the place to let them burn it all.
they run around for a bit and POOF… energy be gone. IT’S GREAT!
now i have to say, that a few times we went the pizza was cold and the temp inside was hot as heck. but the manager came right out and told us that they had some issue with a hole or something rather in the roof. I don’t know I couldn’t hear from the beads of sweat dripping in my eyes. ;)
any whoooo… he was nice and made it nice and cool so the kids would not pass out.
by the time we pulled onto Glenwood… the kids were knocked out. YAAAYYY monkey joes.
