My friend took me to this place two years ago, and introduced me to the wonderful halo halo. I loved it so much back then so i decided to come back and get some for myself. I actually like the store and its authenticity. Unlike other asian stores, this one didn’t smell funky at all. The inside is very clean, and people are nice. Now back to the halo halo part, it took them 25 min to make halo halo(and i wondered why so long), the one i got this time is not as good like last time. It didnt have jello and fruit like i expected(i guess its bc u can make halo halo different ways) but it wasnt as good like last time, they put too much condensed milk this time and it was too sweet for me, and too much beans. I still like it but not as good like last time.

I have heard so much about this place, but it is a bit of a drive for me, so when I was in the area recently, I decided to swing by and have a look. A note about me: I am an American-born Filipina whose parents are from Baliuag(mom) and Mandaluyong(dad). It was so nice to see the shelves full of the kind of thing I had taken for granted when I lived in San Diego: so many nice Filipino(and other SE Asian) products and produce. They also had a little… I guess it’s a carinderia? There was such a big selection, I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I think the lady behind the counter tried to steer me towards stuff the Americans would tend to eat, but I chose pinakbet and the squid adobo over rice. So so good and very authentic!(Please don’t adjust those for the American taste. It’s nice to get authentic Filipino food in the Triangle!) I’m not sure if I will go out of my way to go here(it is a bit of a drive) but whenever I’m in the area, I’ll definitely stop by. Oh, and by the way, they have Tiger Balm, too. My body thanks you for keeping that in stock. :)

This little Filipino restaurant(inside the store) has a variety of native dishes that are delicious. I was a big fan of the panci and the baked tilapia. The service was really slow due to only one person working in the back but it was worth the wait, in my opinion.

This review is for the restaurant inside the store. Can’t speak highly enough of the Filipino cuisine here. This is as good as it gets outside of Manila & Cebu. This is all genuine Filipino — If you aren’t familiar with the cuisine I recommend doing a little research prior. I had the chicken adobo and pancit. Both were full flavored and worth a trip. I look forward to saving room for Halo-halo on my next visit.

Best place to go in the Triangle when Filipinos feel homesick. They have a wide variety of Filipino products. From your favorite Filipino hair products to your favorite comfort ice cream brands. They also have a small karenderia(restaurant) inside. Kuya Muck(owner) is so friendly and super nice. Come check this place out.

Filipino-to-Go, inside Asian Market! Filipino Express is here! Take-Out Filipino prepared meals! They do have Table people were sitting at to eat. Lady from the Philippines leads a team back here a few days a week(check for the times before you Drive from Florida or Maine or Cary… She did not want to speak any English on our first visit(she may have said Thank You??? Smile and a nod) as we were leaving… We had a Chicken and vegetable Glass Noodle Dish that is supposed to be a typical Filipino dish! We found out about this place from the people at the International Festival(Filipino Food-stand)! they said the Food was Good, Filipino and inside the Market! Asian Market with each Nationality Signed in English We stocked up on Tapioca Flour and some Beverages we have not tasted before!

I’ve finally found a Filipino store in the Triangle! I wasn’t aware that there were enough fellow Pinoys to warrant an entire market, but here it is. They have a lot of traditional Filipino fare — leche flan, tocino, and even balut(you probably won’t like this, I don’t recommend Googling it if you don’t know what it is; I’m too Americanized to like this, and even my Filipino family members who love the taste don’t like the idea of it, and so eat it with their eyes closed). At any rate, if you need to make traditional FIlipino fare, or have some Filipino friends and/or family coming in from out of town, go here for supplies.
