Planet Beach Tanning Spa

I absolutely love this salon. The facility itself is spotless, and the staff is incredible. My hands took a recent spray tan too darkly, and I came back hoping someone knew of an at home trick to get most of it off, as I have never been in that situation! Well, the fabulous lady I was fortunate to speak with today went above and beyond to actually get the color off, at the salon. She spent time talking to me, understanding my concerns, and caring as much as I did. I will absolutely be going back, and highly recommend Planet Beach!

Love this spa. Teeth whitening is awesome. They also have a hydration station and a slim capsule. I use to tan here but quit when they started making changes. A new owner recently bought it and I went to their open house. Love all the new upgrades and new staff. It’s definitely worth going here and seeing all the changes. New owner and staff is great!

I love this salon, been going here for about 4 years now. Last Fall a new owner bought it and made amazing changes. The whole place got a make over remodel with some new beds and services too, it’s AMAZING now not to mention purple is my favorite color. :)
I’m really happy with the staff, the new owner and how much they care. Not to mention the fabulous décor, cute signs on the walls and wonderful feeling rugs are under your feet now in the rooms. They offer more than just tanning, they have a hydrate bed for your skin and opening your pores, red light therapy for reducing fine lines, sun spots, sun damage, and helps with nerve pain. PLUS they offer spray tans and teeth whitening too.
Check them out you will be glad you did. This week they are offering a Free session for you to, so you have nothing to lose. My Mom is going there now too and she loves it, treat yourself to a spa day and take advantage of all they offer, you will leave feeling relaxed and happy. :)

Very pleased with the services offered and the knowledgeable staff. Atmosphere was relaxing which was an added bonus as I was preparing for my sons wedding. A great place to wind down.

Man, I walked out of this place with orange hands and feet and everything else white. I got a spray tan. It was my first time at this place, and they offered no «first-​time customer specials.» So I got ripped off for $ 30. I even called and left a message that day, but never heard back.
Don’t go. RIP OFF.

I am not a «tanning addict» by any means, but like a lot of people I get a little listless in the wintertime and when the 80-​degree weather rolls around again, my ghostly pale legs are NOT ready for shorts season!
For this reason I walked into Planet Beach the winter before last. I had never heard of a «contempo spa» and I will admit I haven’t used any of their services other than the spray-​tan and tanning beds.
I give this location 4 stars because the staff is ALWAYS friendly, helpful, and the beds are always spotlessly clean and sterilised, and nearly always available. On the few occasions I have visited to find the «level» of bed I wanted to use occupied, the staff was always apologetic and ready to give me an exact wait time until the bed would be ready.
I have had a monthly membership for over a year which I think is quite reasonable, $ 59 per month and I have unlimited access to all levels of tanning beds, certain other services (though I admit I have not taken advantage of them), and I also get a discount on lotions, etc.
One thing I will note, they used to have the «tanning decals» on the front counter for people to take as desired and now those seem to have gone missing. I do miss the little heart stickers.
Overall though I am very happy with Planet Beach!

Highly questionable business ethics. Buyer beware. The tanning salon itself is nice, but their shady tactics are not. If you check out various reviews throughout the US you will discover many, many complaints about their poor business practices. I’ve used Jill’s Beach in the past and encountered no crazy shenanigans, so I’ll go back to them.
