Really good chicken that comes with great tasting sides. The fried plantains are very enjoyable. The décor is a little lacking but it makes for a fine lunch spot. If you like Mami Nora’s, you’ll like this place. The fries are better here but the salad is better there.

The chicken here is comparable Mami Nora’s. Polla A la Brasa does offer fewer choices, seems to be limited strictly to chicken(unlike another review suggesting there is a fish n chips option) but it’s very good chicken nonetheless, and INEXPENSIVE. Ambiance — it’s a hole in the wall, the dining area looks grimy, what might have at one time been a bar area is cluttered with junk. The table my daughter chose to sit at needed to be wiped down since the previous customers had been there. Based on this I would probably prefer to do takeout here than to eat in, but that wouldn’t stop me from having a seat in the dining room, providing the table is clean. Despite how the place looks they have a very good health score rating. The family deal — 2 whole chickens with 4 sides fed my family for 3 separate meals — for right around $ 30. That in itself is a deal.

My NEW Favorite Chicken! Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken Fast-Food Counter Service! Sweet Plantains, Yucca Fries and Inca Kola make it a Meal! In The«O“s Family ½ a Chicken is Perfekt because I like White meat and Skin and my HoneyBunny only likes the Dark Meat and NO skin! Since I do not like any Chicken that much, it is easy to make an exception here! The Spice profile is Fantastik! That Skin Ohhhhhhhhh! YUM ! ! ! So glad my Bride did NOT even want a taste!

I love Peruvian food. Honestly, this place is not as good as Mami Nora’s, but it’s closer to my house so I eat here more often. Chicken is consistently good.

Chicken is very tender and moist and the sauce that comes with it is good. The rice had nice flavor(made with garlic and onion). Sweet plantains were warm sweet way to finish the meal. Great find, will be back!

Pretty decent hole in the wall. Mini City is sort of a bad area so I don’t really shop here much, but I like different things to dine on. My stepfather is Puerto Rican and I love Yuca. They have fried yuca as a side and while charcoal chicken isn’t for everyone, I happen to like the scent and flavor of it. I wish this place had some other kinds of Latin food like mofongo or tostones but since it’s Peruvian food I’m not sure if plantains grow over there. That is the only reason I dropped by one star.

Holy Smokes… who woulda thunk it. Real Peruvian Chicken right in the middle of Mini-City. The chicken was moist, flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The sides(Salad and Rice) were spot on. The Owners were very nice and I will definitely be back. Would have been 4 stars but the funky plastic dinnerware and microscopic condiment containers were a distraction. Oh Yeah, try the Fish & Chips… awesome !!!(Yep, Fish & Chips in a Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken Restaurant.

Food is good. We do like Mami Nora’s a little better. We will definitely be back for good, quick, and affordable Peruvian style brasa chicken. This place is good for a fast food alternative.

Pollo A La Brasa or crispy rotisserie chicken in English is of Peruvian origin. This is the newest fast food chain restaurant in Raleigh. This place reminded me of a Boston Market but with a smaller menu. I ordered the Pollo BBQ plate with 2 sides for $ 5.95. The 2 sides I got were black beans and cole slaw. The slaw is mayo based and is good. The black beans were just OK. The BBQ chicken was pulled off the bone in large chunks and lathered in either a sweet or tangy sauce. I picked tangy and was better than good. Drinks are an extra charge. They do have beer and wine available for sale. The meals are served with plastic utensils. Rotisserie chicken is good. Has a bit of a smokey flavor but not a whole lot. There isnt much of a choice on the menu so if your spouse wants something other than rotisserie you may be better off at Boston market. Ambiance was a little strange. Semi fast food with a dozen tvs. There was also a loud hum when we were there coming from the soda fountain I think. A little distracting. Price was somewhere between ok and a little high. I’m so glad this place opened right down the street from where I work. Their chicken is amazing! The rotisserie chicken is moist and tender all the way through, even the breast. Not only is every part of the chicken tender, it is flavorful. My biggest gripe with rotisserie chicken in general is that they are dry in the middle and only the skin has any flavor. I don’t know how these guys did it, but that is not the case here. This is a Peruvian chicken place, I don’t know if the herbs and spices used to season is authentic or not, but who cares, it tastes good! Make sure you ask for the sauce too. It’s not necessary, but it is def worth trying. It reminds me a bit of the white sauce they have at Japanese restaurants. It goes wonderfully with the chicken. Today, I saw that they have a new main course, pulled BBQ chicken. It’s sweet and tangy, def worth getting. The sauce is not watery and vinegary like NCBBQ, not a big fan of that. It’s more like Texas BBQ, the way I like it. They also have a chicken salad wrap. I’ve tried this as well. Everything is made from scratch and you can taste the freshness. As for the sides, they have a pretty good assortment. Fries, yucca fries, sweet plantains, fried plantains, and cole slaw. Sides are good but the show here is the chicken. I feel that Boston Market tends to be on the dry side and Mami Nora’s is way too greasy. Price wise, Pollo a la brasa is a tad cheaper than Boston Market and Mami Noras, and I’m hoping it’ll stay that way. If you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out. Hands down best rotisserie chicken in the greater Raleigh-Durham area.
