I have had some bad visits. And there were some great visits. I have been with groups and we had great times. good service and great food. I had some horrible service, twice. Went with another person. And everything was below Meh, I’ve experienced better. One time the waiter was horrible. the white young male. we got a free beverage and dessert. He would walk away from us while we were talking to him and had ask him to come back and finish the job, not volunteer to give us silverware, menu, drinks, bill, napkins, and food. And there were complimentary appetizers. And would not volunteer to give them to us. We were tired of complaining to the manager. We took the dessert home. Being there was a real problem. He gave us wrong order and not volunteer to do anything about it. He said not want to write down the order. and said it is not a job requirement. We have heard the same attitude at other restaurants. By the waitresses/waiters. Not know what the problem is. The second we tried to order. And we left. The young african american females hostesses ran away from us. And not want to wait on us. They left to gossip and eat a meal. We had to ask them to come and do their job. They would not speak to us and just put the menu on the table. And ran away. The tall african american male waiter just would walk away from us. While we were trying to order. We had to ask him to come back a couple of times. Until we finished the order. He gave us the beverages. WE asked for not any ice. And we got iced tea with ¾ ice. He was walking away from us while we were asking him for a correction. He gave the correction and ran away. WE decided to leave. When he left the eating area. We were tired of the bad service. And hungry and left to get better service elsewhere.

Dirty. I remember, years ago, Ruby Tuesday’s salad bar was the star of the restaurant. Not so much anymore — at least at this location. My daughter and I both noticed a rotten smell near the salad bar. It also was very lacking in choices. Get rid of the warm, mayonnaise based salads sitting out and add some more fresh topping selections. The restaurant itself is a little dingy, which could be age, but when my iced tea was refilled with water instead and served to me in a glass with lipstick all over it, I was done. Bleh!

Had dinner with my mom and it was AWFUL! Both of our asparagus’ were severally overcooked. The cheese was not melted on top of my mac and cheese. My crab cake looked like a crab pancake. Overall a terrible dining experience.

Here for lunch with my family of 3. Returning visit. One of our fave chain restaurants because of the salad bar option. My daughter likes the kids menu and my husband likes the ribs. Tip: Look out for coupons for the restaurant and sign up for free burger on your bday. Food came quick. server was pleasant. We don’t t go prime time because parking lot is small.

Chain restaurants get a bad wrap. I’ll admit, I like to feel trendier and cooler than I am by checking into swanky downtown restaurants. However, Ruby Tuesday really blew me away tonight. It didn’t start off peaches and cream. Our waitress took forever to take our drink orders. But after I shot a few smiles her way, I could see a fire lit under her(see, it pays to be nice!) The salad bar is always a hit w/me. I love a salad packed with just a bunch of stuff. My entrée was the NY strip. Mouthwatering. It was cooked perfectly medium well. I’m so used to steaks being overcooked at chain restaurants, but it could not have been done any better. I’m telling you, that steak cut like butter. To top it off, I love that Ruby Tuesday always has a coupon offer. Because, who doesn’t love a good coupon?

I ordered the Fresco Chicken with a side of rice pilaf and green beans. The chicken was good & rice pilaf was okay. The green beans were delicious! They were real green beans with a nice crunch, not like canned ones at all. Glasses and eating utensils had spots on them which probably were dried water spots from the dishwasher. However, I didn’t like seeing that and it made me lose my appetite a bit. I used my napkin to clean my own drinking glass & utensils. The waitress was super nice & kept checking on us. We gave her a nice tip for her service. May visit again.

If you have to go here, ask to be sat in Steve’s section. Professional, attentive and friendly, he was our server the first time we went and is solely responsible for our return. The docked stars are because the second time we went, where I encountered the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. We went in on Christmas Eve. Steve wasn’t in. Our server was rude, often huffing at our requests, and got visibly irritated when two of our party of five asked for specific toppings to be left off burgers(one due to a serious allergy). She did not bus our table — salad plates were still there when the check was brought — nor any of the others in her section. We looked at stacked dirty plates for our entire meal. We were not brought the biscuits that every other table around us(different servers) received. One of our table places didn’t have cutlery, and when we asked for it after food was served she simply reached over to the table beside ours and threw a roll down in front of the person whom had asked. She did not refill our drinks even though multiple people asked multiple times. We were rushed throughout, from her insistence that a specific person order first(‘miss water’ was how my friend was addressed and the server insisted on taking hers first even though she wasn’t ready) to the way that she kept asking if we wanted the check half way through the entrée. Can’t tell you her name as she never introduced herself. I did speak with the manager, whom was very apologetic. He seemed genuinely interested in rectifying the situation and for that we were grateful. I was very disappointed in the meal overall. The food is average — we come for the atmosphere, which was very unwelcoming that second night. Steve’s performance warranted 5 stars, and he is the only reason that this was not a 1 star. We will be calling ahead to make sure Steve is on next time and will not be going unless he is.

My husband and I walked in to hear the hostess tell a group if they want good customer service they would need to wait 30 minutes to get a table. I asked if we could sit at the bar and it seemed to irritate her. We proceeded to sit at the bar to hear the bartender complaining to his colleagues about all the customers. We got up and walked out. We will never come back. I never saw a manager to be able to tell them what we saw. You need to bring a district manager down to give this place an attitude adjustment. What a shame.

I got to the @RubyTuesday around 6:30PM. I had to circle the lot to find a spot. I found a spot and went in. There was a couple of couples in front of me. The host and hostess seemed confused and they didn’t appear to be working together, and the guest were telling the host & hostess what the other person was doing when they weren’t there. The hostess was telling people that it was an hour wait, and some people were leaving. I was seated about 6:50PM, and I counted 9 empty tables on the side I was on, so I don’t know why there was a huge wait. The server didn’t know either. Maybe they were just short staffed. Placed the drink order, and the server, Steve, brought out the correct drive. Placed the food order about 6:59PM. After sitting there a while, Steve called out to Tammy to check on the appetizer order for the table. The appetizer was delivered over 20 minutes after it was ordered at about 7:23PM, and I don’t know why, as it shouldn’t have taken more than 10 minutes for it. The entrée was delivered about 7:29PM. There was this one couple that came in after me that had their entrée delivered even before anything was delivered to my table. Which shows that things were not running smoothly. I ordered a burger with broccoli as my side dish. The burger came with fries. The fries were honestly not worth eating as they were room temp, and the burger was lukewarm. The hottest thing on the plate was the onion rings on top of the burger. They were actually right out the grease and almost burned my tongue. The burger was not juicy, and I didn’t bother finishing eating it, which is unusual for me. This is the 3rd time I have had the burger, so I know what it is supposed to taste like, and it was excellent the other times I had it. I did pull off the tomato because it just looked wrong. It was pale, and didn’t look like it had the right texture. It might have been fine, but judging by its looks, I didn’t want to chance it. After I while I was able to flag down Steve and mention to him that I was missing the broccoli from my plate, and that I had fries in stead. Steve had brought me a small plate of broccoli out 5 minutes later. After I was done eating, I sat there about 20 minutes to be cashed out. Granted, Steve did have a party of 16 sitting at 3 tables that just sat down that he was trying to work with, so I am not going to say he was a bad server. But there was no team work, or communication going on amongst the team members. At one point I saw this Latina server leaning against the doorway propped up with her elbow on the wall and her hand on her head as she was facing the dining room. I was thinking, if you have time to lean and«admire» the chaos, jump in and help your coworkers, but she didn’t. My server Steve was a good server that was patient with me, and apologized for any issues, and never talked to me like he was in a rushed manner. When he was at my table, he gave me the attention I deserved. The problem is he was spread too thin. The low rating is due to the overall chaos, incorrect order and long wait time for the food. #269 Follow up

Surprisingly… pretty good for a Saturday night on Capital. Fish tacos with the salad bar were $ 10. One of the better salad bars for a mid-priced place. Excellent service.

I’ve loved Ruby Tuesdays since I moved to NC. They have an excellent salad bar and good menu selection. I love their garlic cheddar biscuits, but they could be bigger. Have always had good service and always satisfied. Excellent for a chain

Not generally a fan of these chains, but was at Best Buy and wanted to watch the end of the SEC Championship game. We wanted to sit at the bar, but they had only six seats, so we waited for a table. The games were on, but they allowed the bar patrons to dictate what gets watched, so three different football games plus UNC basketball slowly turned into three UNC basketball games and one football. Pretty poor taste. Our server was a soft-spoken gentlemen with no actual server skills and very poor time management. He walked up to the table, and just looked at us. After we started the conversation, he then asked us if we wanted something to drink. I looked at the beer menu — a horror for any NC beer drinker — and sadly ordered a Yuengling. There really wasn’t anything good on the menu. After 15 minutes, the beer came out. I actually saw it sitting at the bar/server station for much of that time, but the server was nowhere to be seen. I really don’t need to go into anymore detail as the whole experience(including the average food) was pretty terrible. Will not be back(even if that means I miss the game).

Surprisingly mediocre service from a restaurant in which we have received great service for many years. Also we requested our steaks be medium well and they were more well. Lastly server problem with bringing our bill to our in a timely manner made the third strike. I will return but not too soon to this location. Shame as we’ve been coming here for years and have always had a enjoyable meal.

It’s star standard chain fair which I normally don’t review because you know what to expect walking in. I am reviewing this place because service here is abysmal. We came and there was maybe 4 tables sat in the whole place, took 5 min for the host to fumble with the computer to seat me. After 15 min a server showed up to take my drink order which they screwed up. So I’m here 20 min and haven’t ordered anything to eat yet. Cutting this short avoid this location like the plague unless you like snail like service at which rate this is the place for you.

For the third year, my High School Classmates gather on 12⁄26 at this location of Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner and visiting. We had made reservations for our party of 15, and the staff had our tables ready and waiting for us in advance. Two servers took care of our group — one for each side of the table. Found both servers to be extremely polite and professional. They tended to our needs without interfering with our conversations. I ordered the Chef’s Cut Steak. More than generous portion and good flavor. Others orders included burgers, soups, fish tacos, and pasta dishes. Heard no complaints on any of the choices. It was a quiet night, and we were allowed to visit as long as we liked without feeling rushed to vacate.

As American fare chain restaurants go, Ruby Tuesday is one of the better ones. A good variety of items on the menu that are decently priced. The entrees feel like they are a little over priced for what you get, but the included garden bar(which is great) balances it out. They bring out some garlic cheddar biscuits similar to Red Lobster’s. These are a little smaller, but just as addictive. They have a better than average selection of seafood items on the menu. I got the New Orleans seafood the last time I went and it was delicious. You also can’t go wrong pairing any of the entrees with the grilled zucchini as a side. The service at this one has been very good on each visit. One thing I noticed on my last time there was how quiet it was. Not in a creepy way, but it just didn’t have the usual loud ambient noise like a lot of restaurants even with most of the tables taken. Pair that with the dim, warm lighting and you have a much more relaxing vibe for dinner.

a coworker birthday came up, and since that person gets to pick where to go, she chose Ruby Tuesday. I hadn’t been in ages for no special reason. Our meal was great and everyone was happy with the price, and the free salad bar. Easy in, easy out with a great wait staff and good food.
