Really good food and selection. Service was lacking. Repeatedly asking for refills and bread.

We decided to meet our friends here since it was about half-way between us and got great reviews. The reviewers are not lying when they say the food is delicious, service is great, and the portions are huge. My dad loved the seafood fra diavolo, the vodka sauce was yummy, chicken cacciatore was amazing, and bread was garlicky just the way I like it! If you’re in the area, check it out!

We ordered take-out from Sopranos on 12/26/2015. We didn’t know this restaurant existed until that night. We were trying to order from Frank’s but they were closed. We ordered a large half sausage, half cheese pizza and a vegetable calzone. The large pizza is small — just 14″ and 6 slices. Perhaps ours wasn’t cut properly? We were expecting 8 slices. We also received sausage on the entire pizza instead of just half. The calzone was good. The veggies were very fresh and the calzone was packed full of them. The atmosphere was cute and the servers were nice. I’d consider going back to try a meal but I wouldn’t get the pizza or calzone again. Not when we are that close to Frank’s, who has a better pizza and a better calzone.

This was my first visit to Sopranos Grill. I checked the menu online and was instantly interested. It’s at the end of a strip mall so you might not expect much, but the interior is clean and nicely decorated(albeit smaller than an average full restaurant). The waiter addressed us immediately upon entry. We were seated and had some time to take in everything. He was seemingly the only one there and had to juggle four tables(including a large group) so some tasks took longer. He was nice enough and attentive when he could be. I had to ask for bread and a refill, but again, not really his fault. The lunch menu is a lot smaller than what is online, assuming its the dinner menu, but I was able to find something. The house salad was large and the ingredients were extremely fresh. It was a leafy green salad with red onion, tomatoes, and cucumber. The dressing was house made and very tasty. The eggplant on the eggplant parm was cooked well. It was thin and very crispy. It was topped with just enough cheese. If I had to change anything, I would reduce the amount of pasta and add some more sauce. It was drier than I prefer. It could have also used a pinch more seasoning. But it was cooked perfectly, as was the whole dish. The bread just delicious. I wished I wasn’t so full so I could have eaten more! Great place, good service, will return.

Was in the area and looking for a spot for business lunch. Stopped in and had a terrific meal. Best eggplant parmigiana in the triangle. Thin and crispy and had them cover with bolognese sauce versus marinara and was fabulous.

Hopped in here for some appetizers because we were in the mood for a light lunch. This is not your average Italian joint. It’s in a shopping center in a pretty industrial area, but it does not match its context in the slightest. Our server was so friendly and charismatic. At first we were completely sold on the rice balls. Yes, RICEBALLS. Risotto, ricotta, and some crazy mix of delicious things balled up and fried in home made batter. We soon found out they were out of them but gathered ourselves and decided on ordering the trifecta and the caprese salad. WOW! There were three of us and the trifecta came with three mozzarella sticks, three pieces of fried ravioli, and three chicken tenders. So the trifecta was perfecta. I feel over the top saying it was the best mozzarella stick I ever had, so for the sake of not sounding nuts, let’s just say it was the second best. Fried ravioli was stuffed with ricotta. And the chicken was fried to delicious perfection. I ended up eating most of the caprese salad while everyone was occupied with their fried goodies. Fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and basil. The balsamic vinegar and olive oil that the dish comes with was also perfect for dipping the table bread in. We were ready to collect our bill and head out… but that same friendly waiter convinced us into ordering dessert. GREAT decision. I had a little espresso to go with the cannoli. We split the cannoli in three… This was a great ending to this ultra pleasant appetizer experience.

Came to dinner for my birthday. I grew up in North Jersey and this is the best Italian I’ve had in NC. Sorry for the pics, we dug in before I realized I needed to take them. We both got the tour of Italy so we could cover all the bases and it was all fantastic. I love the fact the eggplant and chicken were both crispy even after covered in sauce. Really great food, made to order. If you haven’t tried it yet then you’re missing some great eats.

The food is phenomenonal and the price is very comprable to the quality of the food and it’s made to order so it takes a little longer to be made but completely worth it

Ordered take out last night. Got the shrimp scampi for myself and husband. Food was delicious. Generous portions too and the Italian bread was excellent. This area needed a good Italian restaurant.

YUMMY! This is our new favorite Italian restaurant in Raleigh! You get tremendous value for your money. We have not been disappointed as we work our way through the menu. Consider their take out or even Italian catering. This is a gem hidden on New Bern Ave(really) just about 1 mile off the belt line towards knightdale. The owner, Phil, is very nice!

So my husband and I had one of those moments, too tired to cook or wrestle our child into a restaurant. The challenge what to eat. The answer try the new Italian place. I had been resisting going just because I wasn’t sure from the look outside. I was wrong. The inside is tastefully decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and service was fast. Ok, but the food. We ordered the Tour of Italy(eggplant, chicken parmigiana, and butternut squash ravioli). I get home and my house was crazy so I didn’t actually get to eat until two hours later. I open the container and was really sure it would be a gloppy mess. Nope, food was great. The sauce was made with actual tomatoes and it reheated great. The portion was generous and my husband and I were full from one plate. The ravioli was the star though. I could have a plate of just that. We are definitely going back.

So I know the owner but this food is awesome and it’s so nice to be able to have a takeout option that’s not Chinese or Pizza. The ingredients are super fresh and the marinara sauce is the best I’ve had. I know I’m raving about it, but I love good Italian food and Soprano’s is a great option.

We found Soprano’s while driving out New Bern Ave. so glad we did! It’s small, a storefront in a strip center. Well worth the drive to almost Knightdale. He got pizza, made to order with crust that was crunchy, as well as foldable. I got a mixed ravioli with samples of 4 cheese, portobello, and butternut squash. All tasted as good as it looked! The atmosphere was low key, with wonderful music and the wait staff were eager and attentive. The prices were very reasonable also. I will definitely be back! As we were leaving we got to meet the owner and chef. Very personable. All items are made fresh and homemade! Well worth the drive a few miles out of Raleigh.

Excellent Italian American joint with a cool ambiance, warm and inviting servers, and scratch made Italian dishes that will wow you!!! My hubby and I had the classic spaghetti and meatballs and the fettuccine Alfredo. The Alfredo sauce was so velvety and had just the right balance of garlic and pepper. It was divine! Hubby thoroughly enjoyed the spaghetti and ginormous meatballs! So flavorful!!! Love this place!!! A true gem that is well worth giving a try!!!

Soprano’s Grill is close to our house and we finally stopped in for lunch for the first time. they have a small draft beer and wine selection, but I decided to stick with water. My husband ordered a cheesesteak and I ordered a meatball sub. I expected an average experience, but the meatball sub was quite good! The meatballs tasted homemade and the bread tasted fresh. I can’t say there’s anything super exceptional about the place. It;s standard Italian fare, but it’s solid and the service was friendly as well. We plan on coming back! Surprisingly, the place was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon. Hope business picks up for this place. It’s nice to have a decent Italian place less than 10 minutes away.

How does this place have more than 2 stars??? I went to this place before any Unilocal reviews, about 3 months ago, and paid for it dearly. The wait staff was polite but became much too comfortable with my friendly demeanor. They became a bit unprofessional and had left me unattended for quite a bit. I reduce no stars based on staff, solely the food… which was horrible. It was not fresh, had no taste(other than the«homemade» Ragu sauce), and was improperly cooked. Epic fail! As a side note, I confess to using Unilocal a ton and this is my first restaurant review. It drove me crazy to see good reviews that are NOT deserved as of this time.

Sopranos is… gasp…an Italian restaurant. Which means it could be what I like to call«fast food Italian» with no flavor and everything taste like tomato juice. Or it could be like Sopranos, flavorful and beyond delicious. I’ve tried them out a few times and so far have not been disappointed. I first tried one of the Italian sausage parmigiana sandwich, then I tried the lamb gyro(yes! in an italian restaurant!), and last I have tried the side order of two massive meatballs with a Caesar salad. Again, you would think with such an array of culinary styles something would go sideways but no. All of it was great. I will be back for more soon!

Have eaten here twice and purchased takeout once in the last month — each time the food has been fabulous and the service excellent. Tonight’s special was a seafood Alfredo linguine that my husband went crazy over. I seriously thought he was going to lick the bowl. We will be back for sure!

This restaurant opened about 2 weeks ago. The food was good 2 out of the 3 times I’ve eaten there. The staff was attentive and very nice during all visits but we encountered the owner on all visits. He was not friendly at all even though we were the only ones in the restaurant the 3rd time. You would think he’d be happy and appreciative toward customers since he’s trying to establish a repeat customer base. Although the food was fine 2 out 3 times, I will not spend money in a restaurant where I don’t feel welcomed by the owner.
