Stay away! Everything is an «up-charge» to these guys. The lead guy is Anthony who charges if something is too big or if it’s too small. «Ah, that is too light, up-charge.» «Ah, that is too heavy, up-charge.» His guys broke things before even them getting item out of the house. Will be there at 7am, shows up at 5pm. When asked he just smirked and said he is allowed up to 48 hours without penalty. That speak volumes to his character and complete disregard for you. $ 25 per mattress and box spring for covers which are plastic bags! Every TV, stereo, microwave, CD player is charged for special boxing of $ 75 Stay away. These guys are crooks. His hired help work«under the table» and quit at a moments notice and according to one worker… leave with your property. Anthony says it’s not his fault and you are out your property. Can’t say enough to warn you.

Nightmare. I no longer have faith in BBB ratings. Halfway through the pack and load, the onsite manager floored us with a 30% increase of the understood maximum estimate. We distinctly recall the customer service rep emphatically assuring us of a specific price ceiling, though we cannot prove it — we did not record the conversation as they did. Because we did not want to leave our belongings in another city, we reluctantly paid the ‘hiked up’ charges in order to take back our household. An unacceptable number of items were ruined, some sentimentally priceless, and Source One’s reimbursement policies brought us only a sour sense of closure. We were not even allowed to see some of the items they claimed to have broken, which seemed suspicious. The distrust and infighting among the crew was palpable to us and lasted throughout the entire move, through two cities. During the pack and load, our family was subject to what we perceived as an appalling event. Once again, we do not have enough proof to rectify or even mention this act, as it falls in the ‘gray area’. In my opinion, Source One appears to profit from ‘gray area’ scenarios, the customer always being powerless. In the end, we felt violated. My family was left shocked and sorely disappointed after dealing with Source One movers. Under no circumstances would I refer someone to Source One Movers.

The movers are punctual, communicate at all levels and honest, yet overpriced for the service offered. You can expect that all of your goods will arrive, the question is will they arrive in the same shape as they were packed originally. Overall, do not expect superbly professional service. The moving team will communicate every step of the way, but the service is not what I expect of professional moving services. The moving company does not supply proper packing supplies for the move so the movers purchase on demand from Home Depot or U-Haul. Boxes are typically over packed. My electronics were packed, but not secured with bubble wrap or box stuffing, just pushed into the box without support. Dishpacks were not utilized and liquids were refused because they did not want to chance a spill in the box. Other professional movers typically seal tops to any non-flammable/chemical liquids and wrap with moving paper/bubble then pack. These movers will not do any of that. They also do not wrap food stuffs/spices, just dump in boxes. Inventory process is not very structured and the box labeling is not professional. They hand write inventory lots and contents often without the room and split the contents across multiple boxes so I was left hunting for all of my parts to my lamps or my TV, dvd and blue ray players in separate, poorly marked boxes.

Horrific moving experience. Movers were supposed to show up at 3pm, and didn’t come until 10:30pm. No communication, ruined a wall in my apartment that I was moving out of, and dropped a jewelry armoire with damage. Delivery was later than promised, and a few items damaged. Estimate was $ 1,800 off(they tried to charge my deposit twice & charged the wrong weight for my overages) and they were a nightmare in trying to get that resolved.
