I went to a Friday night service while on vacation last summer and loved it. I had just started going to temple earlier that summer(now I am converting), so I was still pretty lost during services most of the time, but the service was upbeat and easy to follow, without breaking the flow for the people who knew what they were doing. The cantor was easy to sing along with and the rabbi gave a very interesting sermon. Congregants were engaged in the service. After the service, the rabbi made sure to greet everyone and didn’t seem fake while doing it. I felt welcomed by the congregation as well and got some good nightlife tips for the rest of my night on the town. Overall, this place was great and gave me one of my first glimpses of a fun, welcoming Jewish community.
