They’ve moved to City Market — now no longer walking distance from my day to day routine. But I’ve gone back, which is a good sign. I like the cuts Lauren gives, and I haven’t bounced around to different stylists. I hope they stay as busy as they used to.

People find a lot of things when they go away to college… they find out how well they work under pressure, they find out how to mutlitask and prioritize, they find out what kind of alcohol tolerance level they have… the list goes on. Fortunately, when I went to school at NC State, I found Heather and Design Galllery Salon. Having only been to one hair stylist my entire life, I didnt know how to go about finding a new stylist in my new city, so I did the easiest thing and after class one day walked across the street and opened the door and the rest is history. Heather is awesome and I consider her a friend as well as my stylist. She is amazingly talented and I trust her styling expertise completely. She has a great eye for style and what look would be best for you. I cant commend Heather and Deisgn Gallery Salon enough. You wont be sorry!

First, I just wanted to say that there are currently two stylists, Heather and Brandy, but I always go to Heather so this review is about her. Second, I’ve always had curly/wavy, somewhat dry hair that easily frizzes up and drove me crazy all through my childhood. With that out of the way, I just wanted to say I’ve gone here for the past three years and love love LOVE this place. Heather is awesome because you can walk in and say«I’m not sure what I want but here is the vaguest possible idea EVER» and she snips and cuts and everything looks amazing! The only thing I ever wanted with my hair — LESSBODY. And Heather was the first stylist I had who actually listened to that and created some awesome, debodifying layers. The salon carries two lines of products for women: Pureology and Framesi. Heather’s recommended a wide variety — hair gels and shampoos /conditioners and shine. I’ve liked every product I use and love both of the lines. I think both companies really put a lot of thought into the kinds of natural products that can keep hair healthy and moisturized, which is important to me. Pureology, which advertises itself as a vegan brand, is pricey but worth it. Again, I love this place and recommend it to everyone.
