First visit; for hot dogs– Char grilled, all beef with Finsky sauce, very tasty. Crinkle fries were terrific. Clean place with lots of tables. Friendly service. Will be visiting again soon to try the cheese steak. UPDATE: The Finsky has shit the bed. Replaced by a sports bar it appears…

I was invited by some sweet neighbors to go to lunch with them. The Finsky is where they took me. I do not eat out often anymore but this was quite a treat! I got a vegetable wrap and it was delicious! Roasted fresh tomatoes — lettuce — mushrooms sautéed to perfection — etc. a light dressing/sauce that is hard to describe but it’s secret spices make me want to make it myself!!! Clean, friendly, knowledgeable service, water was available from a glass decanter and tasted wonderful and fresh. My companions got a philly cheese-steak wrap and a reuben and were delighted with the service size and taste. They actually go there often so they were not surprised. This is a place I can eat and maintain my healthy eating style … In addition to all the other pluses about this restaurant … I was complemented on being vegetarian rather than treated like I was from another planet !

At work, we’re always looking for new lunch places. I viewed this place on Unilocal multiple occasions, but finally went last Friday. We came in around 1 so it was not crowded at all. The menu is slightly intimidating so if you’re indecisive like me, do your homework before you get here! I wanted to go with a cutlet as that seems to be the specialty here but couldn’t decided. I asked the guy at the register, who seemed friendly enough, and he recommended the horseradish cutlet. I guess it was pork, but honestly am not sure… Anyway, he didn’t hesitate at all so I went with it. He asked if I wanted it crispy or soft, and I blindly went for the crunch. Sandwich came(I got red drink…) and fries were crinkle cut, not my favorite but at least they were well-cooked not soggy or over done. The sandwich was HUGE! I cut it in half and was full. The cutlet was super thin, and as I requested, crispy. Next time I’ll go less crispy, it may have been over done, but I’ll take responsibility for that. The sauce though was pretty good. Not as strong as I think I would have liked, but I’m sure few people would eat it at my preferred level. It did have a good overall flavor. Conclusion after one visit: I will definitely try again. It is so cheap and there is such a variety, I will be back. The food seems mediocre, but the price is such that I can try some crazy stuff and not really be out much if it’s terrible. The portions are good so if you do like it, you’ll definitely have left-overs. It’s an odd name, has odd décor, and has an oddly massive menu with odd food. Certainly more fun than your run of the mill fast food joint or chain eatery. Odds are you’ll probably like this place.

After the passing of the pizza buffet that occupied this place previously, I was interested to see what The Finsky had to offer. Living nearby I’m always hoping for some good food options. The Finsky is pretty good. While the food isn’t necessarily the greatest I’ve had, the price totally helps make this place weekly lunch visit for me. The various cutlet sandwiches I’ve had live up to the description other people have made: huge. I kind of wish they were a little thicker with less surface area so as to fit on the bun a bit better while still offering the same amount of meat. Either way at $ 5 for a sandwich, fries, and drink it is hard to beat. I’ve also tried the wings, hot dogs, and a cheeseburger. All were very good. The wings had more of a spicy bbq sauce versus the traditional buffalo sauce. The hot dogs come in what at first glance looks to be a folded piece of bread, but is actually a bun. I wish they would streamline the menu and signing on the walls, but as far as the food goes I would recommend The Finsky if you’re looking for a good inexpensive meal.

Stopped in for a quick lunch… meh…The all beef dogs were good, nice grill and the chili was tasty. crinkle cut fries were nothing to brag about. The Pork Finsky was as advertised. a HUGE pork cutlet, maybe a bit too crispy, more like crunchy but flavorful. Going to give them another try to check out the burgers and wings.

On a recent rainy evening, Mike and I decided to get some true comfort food. Both of us love hot dogs, and this place seemed like something we both wanted to try. I love the interior it reminds me of one of those places at the NJ beach. the hot dogs were really very good and the fries crisp and tasty with a nice seasoning. The prices were very reasonable. I won’t hesitate to go here again and trying something else on the menu.

So far I like this place. About 80% of the menu is under $ 5 which is great when you are looking for a quick and cheap meal for lunch. The fries are done perfectly.

Finsky is located in the building that housed a Pizza Inn for many years. Having dined at the Pizza Inn many times, I was impressed at the new décor, which is much brighter and inviting then the dark tones from the past. The wall leading to the order counter is covered with large prints of the menu, plus current specials. The main offerings are hot dogs with quite an array of toppings, cutlets of veal, chicken, and burgers. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana Cutlet and my guest had two hot dogs. Both meals came with fries and soft drink. If you order take out, there is a window for pickup, dine in orders are brought to the table. My cutlet had the right amount of crisp coating, and the fries were a good portion and cooked to my liking. Hot dogs do not come in a tradition hot dog bun, but in a deli style bread. Prices are quite reasonable.

Had a tasty birthday party with the kids. They loved their beef hotdogs & crunchy fries. The adults loved the steak & cheese. Oh & the wings are amazing. Mild so tasty with that secret ingredient. Probably my favorite item there. They are the whole wing & meaty! Had great service, friendly personal & very clean & bright & inviting. Cant wait to go to Ral. again & stop by for my wings & yummy sweet tea!!!

It was a rocky start, but finished strong. After driving by several times I decided to stop in. I assume that it is called Finsky as that is slang for a $ 5 and half the menu items are $ 5. The menu seemed appetizing, and the prices were decent. I ordered the Bourbon Pork Finsky. The reason why I say it was a rocky start was due to several reasons, I was charged the wrong price, they were out of tea, out of ketchup, and I was delivered the wrong sandwich. Not off to a good first impression. When I mentioned to the guy that I was missing items on my sandwich he took it back and fixed me an entirely new tray. He didn’t just slap on the missing items like most places would have done. The pork cutlet was ginormous. I thought it was two pieces of meat at first, but after I looked under the bun I just saw one piece of meat. Imagine a piece of meat bigger than your open hand on a tiny bun, and that is how it looked. The sandwich was full of flavor and I was actually surprised how well seasoned the meat was. In the end I was charged the correct price, received my cup of tea, got ketchup, and the correct sandwich. I only like my fries cooked a little more. I will definitely be back, and the food was tasty. Next time I just have to try one of the all beef hot dogs.
