The Luxury Box

Love the Luxury Box, had a complaint a while back then was contacted by the owner. He was very nice and eager to resolve. We came back this week for trivia and things were perfect. Good food, sweet wait staff, fun trivia on Tuesday!

Staff was great, food was horrible. Have you ever seen that show Bar Rescue? Just saying…
Not sure how to respond to the question by the owner, so I guess I’ll just try by editing my review.
This was a take out meal, was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Got there and was told it wasn’t done but would only be a few minutes. 10 minutes later my food came out. I’m not even upset about this as the waitress was very nice and apologetic.
I ordered the shrimp po’ boy which had wilted, slimy lettuce on it and tasted so fishy that I took 2 bites and was actually afraid of getting food poisoning and stopped eating it. The cheese triangles were pretty good. The buffalo chicken cheese dip was horrible. I actually added cheese and buffalo sauce at home to make it taste like something.

Impressed! I had the pork chop dinner and it was the best I ever had! The flavors of the seasoned pork chop with mushroom gravy were phenomenal! The scallops potatoes … WOW, I was not expecting anything that good from a sports bar! And everything was so fresh (even the broccoli which I’m not a big fan of!) Portion sizes were very generous!
As far as environment, I need to come back here to watch my favorite sports teams or late at night. They have TVs everywhere! I couldn’t help but notice that the patrons at the bar were having such a great time. Laughs and conversations all over. Definitely not a snobby place.
Can’t wait to go back for another pork chop dinner!

A great place to watch the game. The staff was great and Daphne my server was awesome. I was there Sunday 11÷22÷15 and the hostess was very helpful in finding us the perfect table to watch our team play.

Four stars for attentive service! Food was good too, had the fried mozzarella, then split the French dip and brownie sundae with my better half while watching a football game on a Saturday afternoon.

Food is great! Owner is a chef who graduated from Culinary Institute of America in New York. Try the mozzarella sticks, nachos and the strawberry cheesecake shots. We will be back!

I love eating here with friends after long tennis matches. Good is ok, beer is yummy but not sure if it wasn’t under these conditions

We have eaten here many times over the years, have always had great meals and good service. Yesterday we stopped in for lunch. There was only one waitress with many tables to serve. So service wasn’t good. My lunch wasn’t bad but my husbands were terrible. The hot dog buns were old, and he got sick soon after we got home. They have the best shrimp poboys but I don’t think we will be back for a while.

Nothing to write home about. Typical bar fare. It serves it’s purpose… We were hungry and it filled our bellies. That’s it.
Updated because I don’t know how to reply to Scott O the owner. We were there two Saturdays ago just after lunch. I ordered the French Onion soup. I also ordered the burger with the avocados on it.

Almost always a great group of regulars at the bar to greet you and make you feel like part of the crew. They have good wings here and are pretty big. For standard hot wings they have a good kick. Check them out on Wednesdays for 50 cent wings. They also do a great job with fried mozzarella. Good bar food and service for the price. Nice large patio for the evenings fully stocked with cornhole boards.

First time here and pleasantly surprised. Food and service were really good! Pub fare and draft beers were just what we were looking for. Will be back soon.

A friend of mine moved back to Raleigh and we wanted to meet up. Somewhere close to both of our places. Luxury Box is so close and I’m glad we decided on here. We went Wednesday which was 0.50 cent wings and I’m such a stickler for wings. Probably the best wings I’ve had! The size isn’t that big compared to some other places but they’re not tiny tiny and the sauce is just so yummy. Carolina Alehouse (in crossroads) and this place has the best wings. They have $ 3 NC beers on Wed too. I got Red Oak on tap and it was sooooo yummy. I usually don’t like beer, it was so good I bought some at Harris Teeter… not the same tho-​I like it on draft: O My friend got a salad –it was huge, she thought it’d just be a side salad. The service was pretty good. I went a week after with my boyfriend and he thought it was nice and we should come back with our friends to drink and hangout. They ran out of the Red Oak that day and the waitress recommended another one — did not like… couldn’t even drink half of it. Overall, no real big complaints~

Just from the name I assumed the luxury box was some sort of high end strip club, but instead it is a nice neighborhood sports bar tucked away in a rather non-​descript location. Extremely comfortable seating, friendly and capable staff, solid drinks, and the food is worlds better than you would expect for a place like this. The Luxury Box is a true expectations buster in every sense. I have had several menu items there and everything was delicious. I especially liked the buffalo chicken quesadilla and hand breaded mozzarella. This is a great place to go, especially if you can lock down a couch. Nothing too special, but they just do everything well and with a smile. My kind of place.

Went here for a burger after work. Burger was extremely well done. I woke up at 3am with massive stomach cramps and diarrhea. But at least I got a couple coozis from the Bud Light girls. Please avoid this place.

They have a really good Mahi Mahi dish here. I totally recommend it. They give you a good portion of fish and a ton of broccoli and rice. Every time I come here that’s what I get its the best.
Last time I went the portion was pretty skimp in the fish department so I had to knock off a star. Let’s keep it consistent guys!
Either way. Great atmosphere. Love the food and the service. I would recommend it to friends.

Ive never dined in here at the luxury box but my husband and I have ordered wings to-​go on a couple of occasions. I just have to say their thai chili and dry rub wings are the BEST ive had. I believe wednesdays are half off wings, will definitely try to have a dine-​in experience next time.

I had the single worst dining experience of my life at the Luxury Box. Although the food is good, the service is NOT. The waitress that served us was disrespectful and unhelpful. First, she claimed she could not bring me a glass of wine because their system was down, then only after I insisted on speaking to a manager did she finally bring me a glass. It took about one hour to get our food (Greek chicken salad and my friend had a panini) so not sure what in the world was going on, but we were quite perturbed. No apology from the server. Once we finally finished eating (of course she did not check on us once), we had to get another server to help us get the attention of our waitress, and she informs us that their system is down and she can’t give us our check. She actually cursed at us! I demanded to speak to the manager no less than 3 times and no manager ever showed up. She said the manager was on the phone trying to get the system back up. She stomped off and never produced the manager… we ended up leaving without paying our tab, which I’ve never done in all of my 33 years. I did not feel the least bit guilty because no one in that establishment deserved one penny!
This was a terrible experience and I will NOT be going back, which is a shame because it’s about 500 yards from my house. There is nothing luxurious about this box!

Nice local watering hole. Lot of good beers of draft. Cool bartenders. Outdoor seating. Good wings. It can get very lively on certain nights. Decent place.

My favorite bar to go to when I want great wings, great service and good conversation. It never fails when I go here that a conversation will be struck up with someone sitting at the bar. Every regular (me included) is very nice and you hear some great stories. The wings are by far the best I’ve eaten in the Raleigh Durham area and I order them every time I go there. There is always music playing and they have live music as well on certain nights. If you want to bear the sound on games you sometimes have to request it but it’s no big deal. They have great specials and the bartenders really try to remember who you are if you go there more than once. There isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t good so give them a try one night, you won’t be disappointed.

They about 50 TVs with every game on and even have little flags on them for the teams on that TV (instead of a Post It note).
The beer selection is great. They carry some rare drafts that you don’t usually see.
The food is good, the waitresses are hot and the service is decent.
The best part is that they participate in Hilton Honors Rewards Network. All of the money that I spend on food and beer while I watch football all day turns into Hilton points for me.
The only reason I don’t give this place five stars is because they itemize everything on the final copy of the credit card receipt. This prevents me from expensing my meal since it shows the alcohol (and how many drinks I bought). Whoever thought that was a good idea is retarded. If you go for non-​business reasons, it’s great.
