I love this store. Staff is super helpful — seriously ask them for a recommendation on anything and they’ll talk you through their picks. The selection is amazing and very extensive for both the beer and wine. They get new stuff in every week and are always mixing up what’s on the shelf depending on seasonality and special releases.
The best kept secret here is their complimentary wine tastings on Fridays and Saturdays. A set of different wines every week that are usually exceptionally well chosen! I almost always end up buying a bottle, just because the process of picking a wine is usually extremely overwhelming with the huge selection and they do such a great job curating some great ones.
Keep it up TW! You’re the best.

Terrible. Total Wine is always bad, but this one takes the cake.
Terrible customer service. Wines are disorganized.
This is a store for people who don’t know wine, and are driven by write ups and scores from obscure reviewers.
Last time I was there, I looked around for a bit. Wine everywhere, displays messy, prices not displayed with wine. As I walked out, I noticed there were 5 employees + a cashier. As I passed the cashier, she asked if I needed any help. Basically, the last thing they want to do is talk to customers about wine.
But, if you need a shiny gift bag for $ 13, this is the place.

Bravo, bravo, bravo. they were nice in helping a person find something to buy. I not have a wine background. prices are reasonable. and all the employees always nice to me. It was hard for me to make a decision. And they made it easier.

Helpful, friendly employees & plenty of product to choose from! Should you need beer, wine, mixers, this is your one stop shop.
Prices are reasonable & helpful signs get you to where you want to go. Prices are labeled clearly.
They do wine tastings, which is helpful, especially if you want to try something new.
Plenty of parking.

Hubby and I stop here when in Raleigh. They have a large selection and the staff is friendly. They also have some cool novelty items too! I always leave spending more than I intended.

Terrible customer service by cashier named «Michelle». I have gone in several time over a few months and every time she checks me out she is incredibly rude and always seems «put out» to have to be working at all! I called to complain to a manager and couldn’t get past her on the phone. Shameful!

I had searched all around for a certain wine and found it here (not telling– I want it to stay in stock!). The staff also pointed out another wine made by the same winemaker that was less expensive and rated equally. I tried it and am pleasantly surprised. Location is great and the store itself feels very warm and not too industrial.

This wine store is nicely placed in North Hills around some big urban communities, and their wine selection is nice, competing against nearby places. Recommended!

I adore wine and everything revolving around wine. The Total Wine & More is not different and the location on Six Forks is WAY better than the one on Capital Blvd. The selection seems to be better, the store is cleaner, and the staff are more accommodating, at least in my experience.
I love the prices at TW&M, however, I do feel that it takes away from the small wine shop feel so I find that I am not as much of a frequenter as I could be. They do have classes if you are inclined to want such things, but it does last the small wine shop feel that a number of local wine shops have with getting the one-​on-​one service.
They do have a wide selection of «more», such as cigars, wine accessories, and gift items for the wine lover in your life. It definitely does not disappoint.

OK. Just have to Unilocal.Went in to buy wine and fell for «if you like this wine then you will like this wine» pitch. Sorry I did. The wines were Chauteu St. Michel and Gunwale. They also attempt to gouch on beer prices. I buy NC beers loyally and the mark up over a dollar on some over HT and other Grocers.

I’m not what you’d call a «wino» so I really stick to the «& More» part of the store. They have the best selection of gluten free beer and cider that I’ve seen in Raleigh as far as purchasing it in a store. They have all the normal brands like Woodchuck and Angry Orchard but also different varieties of things you wouldn’t find in your local Harris Teeter (Crispin, Fox Barrel, and more). They have cases, six packs (both cold and not), as well as create your own six packs if you just can’t decide what you want.
Of course there is a huge selection of wine that someday I may peruse if I can get past all the cider choices. Obviously a huge selection of beer as well.
Staff is always around to help. They have gift bags and boxes available if you need a quick gift. Also lots of fun items like cocktail napkins, even ping pong balls in case you want to play a rousing game of beer pong!

Wine, beer, & cigars… oh my!
It really doesn’t get much better than this place… my theory is — if they don’t have it, you don’t need it. The selection at this place is remarkable. All wines are sorted by type and country making it very easy to find what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for that perfect gift on the way to a party, feel confident in stopping here as they have plenty o’ staff to help you make that perfect selection AND an assortment of wine gift bags and cards. If beer is more your thing, you won’t be disappointed here — there’s everything from AB to imports, craft beers, and seasonals. They even have a huge assortment of cold beers, growlers and kegs.
The layout of the store is nice — with an ‘info’ desk in the center that’s always occupied to help you find the perfect selection.

I’ve been to the TW on Capital numerous times, but hadn’t been to this one until recently (which seems odd since I’m at North Hills quite a bit). It feels a lot less like a warehouse and a bit more like a wine shop.
I went in looking for beer so I can’t speak to the wine selection, but I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. I don’t know if it was the layout or what, but it seemed like this location had a much better selection of beers. You probably won’t find some of the more obscure selections like you might at one of the beer specialty stores like Tasty Beverage Co. and Bottle Revolution, but this is a good place to start if you’re looking to diversify your tastes.

This is the only Total Wine store that I have ever been in. They have a great selection of wines. (have beer too, but I wasnt looking for that) All staff members that saw me looking asked if I needed help. One of the employees was very friendly and helpful and made some suggestions on wines to try after hearing what kind of wine we usually like.
They were having a tasting which we took advantage of– with discounts on those wines.
I spent way too much money there and found myself anxious to go back.
The only down side is that since it is in a shopping plaza, parking lot very congested.
If you love wine, shop here!

If you want a large wine store where the staff will not acknowledge you, please shop here. The staff had frozen personality, or they were never trained to be professional. Please go elsewhere if you’re looking for personal assistance.

This is the largest Total Wine I’ve been to in NC & VA. I like that they have all the beers stocked by style. It makes it so easy to find the ones I’m looking for. A great selection always. Like most TW, they will have beer scattered throughout the store; you have to walk around so you don’t miss something. As beer finally takes over wine in poularity they will someday have to rename these chains Total Beer & Wine.

A well stocked and clean place to get wine, beer, and ciders. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, a good blend to have. I have found their selections to be pretty good and their prices on par with my expectations. They claim to have a price-​match guarantee, something I never tested nor felt the need to try.
Parking and navigating the lot can be hazardous to your health — be forewarned you may get run over. Twice. And probably by the same car on different laps looking for a spot.

BEST Total Wine yet! It’s sparkling new and nice and spacious, plus well-​stocked, and of course great prices. Best part? They have a «classroom». I hope they always have great «classes» in session, cause the one on New Years’ Eve was champagne and other bubbly wines. Real glasses, even. Consider me ENROLLED in this school for winos, I mean wine lovers. :)
