Uncle Bob’s Self Storage

Outrageously horrible. I ended up throwing half of my stuff away due to weather damage and insect infestation. Don’t waste your money here, your belongings will not be safe and secure.

First and foremost I found this storage online. While it serves my storage needs and at a good price, I ultimatley chose it because the truck is «Free» for the move in. When I got to the one on atlantic after signing all my paperwork, I HAD to buy a $ 10 lock before leaving. BRING YOUR OWN LOCK! They don’t tell you this online. The rental truck is only free for the first 25 miles and then 89 cents thereafter. When I arrived at the Atlantic Ave location, their truck didn’t work and we were sent to this location because theirs apparently did. They get points on letting us go to the next location. We payed like $ 20 for the insurance and were on our way. While it is standard to pay for gas as you would do any rental, the gas needle seemed to be broken on the truck at S. Wilmington. (This is clearly their hustle) We put way too much money in the tank than the miles we used and the gas needle did not move. So beware of that. The truck didn’t have a dolly (it was stolen) or straps. When we arrived back to the Uncle Bob’s my bf wanted to know why the lady would charge us for going over 1 extra mile when we clearly put $ 27 extra dollars in the tank. So it didn’t end to well. It just seemed as if they wouldn’t compensate us for any of their shortcomings. Hope this business improves because it has potential.
