Well, let start with the good: It’s cheap, around $ 50 /night. With that out of the way… Rooms were not clean, I ended up wearing my shoes around the room because I was tired of stuff sticking to my feet. Beds don’t have fitted sheets which means they pulled up every time you roll over. Pillows are worn out. It took 3 to equal a normal pillow. TV’s are about 20 years old and show it. The speaker on ours kept going out. The showers needed to be cleaned as they were starting to mildew. There were blood spots(small) on the inside of the bathroom door. Front desk doesn’t allow you to come into the lobby, you pay through a small window. For a bonus, someone left a beer in the fridge and an adult DVD in the drawer near the TV. It is the closest place to the hospital, but if you have a few minutes it worth staying someplace else.

I was looking for the absolute cheapest place to stay, and I got what I paid for. I’m well aware that at such a price point, one shouldn’t be too demanding, but I would have overlooked the overall conditions(and bugs) had the front desk been at least kind of nice. They did their job(gave me a room and charged my card the right amount) but with a kind of cold, unwelcoming glare. I had no illusions about the quality of this place, but as a budget traveler I would have given it three stars had there been some modicum of friendliness. On the plus side: there’s a Five Hour Energy dispensing machine(kinda cool by itself) that sells them for $ 2 each(score). I bought one but should have stocked up.

Second to worst place I’ve ever seen. Peeling wall paper, broken fridge, antique tv, water stains on the ceiling, ripped sheets. I found what looked like pubic hair under the pillow, I’m pretty sure that the stain on my sheet wasn’t ketchup, there are 2×4’s holding up the sink top, the smoke detector was falling down and half the lights didn’t work. But what do you expect for 50 bucks a night? Can’t give a zero, hence the one.
