This is a hard review because I had such differing experiences between the waiting area and actually seeing the doctor. I went in with a migraine… nausea, head about to explode, the whole nine yards. I was so happy the waiting room was nearly empty thinking things would move fast. I was taken to triage within 15 minutes or so, but sent back to the waiting room for an hour and a half! Then when I was finally taken back to a room I waited 30 more minutes. At this point my pain was making everything excruciating. I called the nurse to see if they had forgotten me. About 20 minutes later the doctor came in. She was wonderful and things moved quickly and efficiently from there. I finally got the help and medicine I needed. My nurse and doctor were fantastic, once I finally got to see them! I would probably go to the big Wake Med on New Bern Avenue next time, but in a pinch, if you have lots of time to wait in the waiting room, this hospital isn’t so bad.
