From professional to amateurs, if you truly want to step up your game, call this studio, talk to Dick and get the straight talk about your song or songs. He will work with you to produce and engineer/mix your songs to maximize their potential! I have been so pleased with his work I keep coming back for more. As an example, check a song my daughter wrote. Also if you need help finishing a partial song idea he and his staff of musicians can also get your song finished, polished, recorded and out the door so you can get it out there for your fans to hear!

For now, I’m going to concentrate on the«tracking» process because we haven’t gotten to the mixing or mastering process yet. Our first day in the studio, there was no AC. Overnight, some real class act person or people decided to make off with some AC unit copper — great — and it was sweltering HOT. We made the most of it, drank a lot of water and plugged away at our songs. Day two was still hot but not nearly as tough as the first day. Day 3 was back to normal, AC was on and we were in it to finish some stuff off. Day 4(actually an evening session) seemed like it was a little rushed but it was still a good experience for the most part. Dick is a pretty good guy to work with — more than that, he’s a coach! If we do something wrong while we’re recording, he corrects us in a coach-like manner«Do what you did again, but this time do it Better!» or «This time do it RIGHT!» Aside from that, he can use our mistakes, and make them sound like we meant to do it… some of it is just OMG hilarious(to us) and I hope we keep it on the final product. The setup on my own instrument appeared to be off so Dick showed us how he can fix the intonation during the mixing/editing process — SWEET!!! Dick is reasonable to work with. He knows that time is money, so he doesn’t mess around between takes. He brings us to the control room to listen to what we did to see if it’s what we expected then It’s up to us to stay on track and on budget, so if he’s is waiting on us, that’s our own fault. The only criticism I might have is the feeling of being rushed a little bit through parts of a song or two, and deep in the back of my mind I’m thinking the take might sound a bit out of time. I won’t know for sure until I hear the mixed versions of what we’re doing, but I also believe if parts are slightly out of time he can probably fix that during the mixing/editing process too. Overall I’m very happy with our experience here up to this point, as opposed to a studio we tried out a year ago up in Wake Forest.

this is a great recording studio. I have recorded at a lot of places and the quality here is great. the vibe adds to it — the equipment is stellar and depending on who you have engineering your session — you’ll likely have a good experience here. It’s not inexpensive but you end up with a great final product.
