I’ll give them 4.5STAR. I stopped by at Panda 88 before I was going to a concert at Ralston Arena on Friday night. It was right next to it so I figured why not. This place was packed. I would suggest that you go in early if in a hurry. I ordered peanut butter chicken, general chicken, dragon wings, and shrimp lomein. –peanut butter chicken-This was definitely on my top 3 out of all the peanut butter chickens I’ve tried. Crispy, sweet and savory. Just perfect! –dragon wings-I ordered these because of the name and it turned out to be an excellent choice. well-marinated with tons of flavor, just right amount of kick to it. Only downside, it’s an appetizer, but it takes a little longer, almost comes at the same time as your main dish. –shrimp lomein-again very good, really good flavors. Usually lomein dishes from other places are rather mundane. But it was pretty good. Only thing I’ve noticed was lomein dishes here are served with side of rice. –general chicken-I was a little skeptical when I ordered general chicken since it had some negative reviews. But I have to say well above average, crispy outside and the balance was just right, little of sweet, sour and spicy. Overall very pleasant experience, very friendly staff. Usually I have a difficult time dealing with employees at Chinese restaurant because of language barriers. I wish they had more servers though, it seemed to be that they were a little understaffed. Definitely worth giving a try!

This is supposed to be a fast Chinese restaurant like Panda Express, but the speed to get your food out can take awhile, as they actually make it fresh. The one bad point about my dinner was that it took 10 minutes between the first meal at our table arriving and the last person’s meal, and we were only a party of four. In the positive column, the food was very tasty. I loved the peanut butter chicken, my wife’s sesame shrimp was great, and our son’s orange chicken was quite flavorful. All of the portion sizes were good for the money.

Stopped in for a late weekday lunch. Overall, a fairly priced Asian restaurant(selling common Chinese-American dishes) with decent food. Lunch entrées run about $ 7 each. General’s Chicken had a good flavor. It was devoid of vegetables which may please some people and bother others. Portion was fair. A couple of the pieces of chicken had a bit of a «warmed over flavor» hinting that they were precooked. Breading on the chicken wasn’t overly thick and had a nice crispiness to it. General’s Chicken is generally a spicy dish and their menu notes it as such too. While it certainly had more kick than other dishes I certainly wouldn’t label it hot or spicy. It’s a rather mild heat. Crab Rangoon were actually Cream Cheese Rangoon. There was no crab or faux crab(krab) in the mixture at all. That’s pretty common at cheaper Asian restaurants. I don’t even bat an eye at it. However, I do wish they’d call them what they actually are. Complimentary Egg Roll was not very good. I doubt they roll them here. The vegetables on the inside had a mushiness to them that only freezing and thawing would typically create. They also tasted off. Certainly some of my least favorite egg rolls in the Omaha area. Service was friendly. You order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. When you’re done you leave your plates on the table and they clean up after you. Restaurant décor doesn’t give me the impression this was always an Asian restaurant. Looks like perhaps something else was in here first and then they modified it to meet their needs. It is clean and well-maintained. No rundown dirty restaurant here. It is not affiliated with Hiro 88, Salt 88, or Pana 88. They have a drive thru as well.

Ok Chinese food if you are looking for something quick and cheap. The chicken dishes we got were drenched in sauce and we had to even drain some of it out. Portions an okay size. My boyfriend was still hungry and ate mine also.

Great place on 72nd for fast Chinese food. Panda 88 chicken is my favorite. Loaded with veggies :) They don’t seem very busy however, I hope they stay around. They do give you a lot of food, I always save half when I get it and eat it later. Makes the price per portion go way down, plus I get to enjoy it again :)

I ordered the chicken and beef fried rice and an order of crab rangoons– both were delicious! Lots of flavor and plenty of food. The price is reasonable and the wait time was quick. Conveniently located drive-thru.

Great food and excellent service. Very clean unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants in the metro area. The vegetables are very fresh and cooked perfectly. My favorite Chinese restaurant so far!

This place used to be Happy Harbor, which was unique and delicious and it’s a shame they closed. Panda 88 strives for the mediocre, and misses fantastically. I went there twice, the first time was bad, but it was shortly after they had opened. I went there again, hoping they’d improved, but it was just as bad. General’s Chicken: Tasted like cardboard. Literally. Ok not texture-wise but the taste of the breading was very reminiscent of cardboard mixed with a lot of garlic. Crab rangoons: tasted stale, like maybe they had been kept under a hot light for awhile. All stale fried dough, very little crab mixture. Hot and sour soup: The only thing palatable, but nothing special at all. No different than that which you can find at any other Chinese joint. It’s also overpriced — the chicken was like $ 6-something and beverages, appetizers and soup and so on all cost extra(Happy Harbor would give two free rangoons per entrée). Which makes mall food court Chinese food a better bargain, and tastes a lot better too. I really wanted to like this place — it’s close to home, not many Chinese restaurants in that particular area — but frankly it’s awful.
