Maple Shade Motel

The only thing I can add to the previous review, which pretty much sums it up, is first, we had to pay in advance for our room. Second, and I am not sure how I didn’t know this the previous night, but when I woke up in the morning I swear our room smelled like someone had been using the floor (carpet and all) as the toilet. Utter filth everywhere. We tried to complain to the person in the office at the bullet proof window before we checked out; we were dismissed and they walked away from us. Horrible. We still joke about it, it’s about all you can do.

This place should be bought by the federal government and used as a prison for those who commit only the most heinous and deplorable crimes. It is by far the most disgusting place I have ever stayed in. Despite the fact that I had been up for 20 hours, worked a fifteen hour day, was dead tired, and riding a motorcycle, I called thirteen other hotels in the area, including those whose rates were upwards of two hundred dollars a night, and all were sold out. I would state that this place would be great for cooking meth, as the noxious chemicals used would likely cleanse and freshen the room, however, the volume of contaminants present would surely spoil any chemical reaction other than sepsis and pestilence.
I could go into specifics, but I don’t know where to start, I don’t have time to write an encyclopedia, and there is probably a limit to how long these Unilocal reviews can be. Walls, ceiling, floors, bedding, lamps, radiator, tables, windows, shower, headboard, clothes rack — literally everything, at least in room 15 — was covered with grime, a portion of it biological. Do not think that you are a rugged individual who is one step above a caveman and that you’ve stayed in the worst of them without giving it a thought. Until I saw this room I considered myself to be in that category. Apparently I DO have my standards. Please do not consider this motel an option. I feel like I will have to disclose the fact that I stayed here to future sex partners. Staying here will scar you for life.
