Prestige MINI

Please keep in mind going into this review that I’m that girl who doesn’t know as much as she wishes she did about cars.
I took in my 2005 Mini Convertible because the SES light was on, and the Check Gas Cap light would come on and off randomly. I live in Manhattan, so the weekends were really the only time I could come. I called and made an appointment, and the girl on the phone mentioned that my power steering pump was on recall, and that they would fix it while I was there.
When I brought the car in, of course, the SES light went out, so I figured I would just bring it in for the steering pump. I mentioned to Steve at the desk when I arrived that the light comes on and off, so if they saw anything while they were doing the pump that seemed like it could be related to let me know, but otherwise we wouldn’t worry about it.
Steve called several times throughout the day to give me an update on the car — they found a few things that needed repairing, and he was very helpful in deciding what to fix and what could wait. Close to the close of the service department, he called to let me know that they’d replaced the steering pump, but that it was defective and needed to replace it again, and there wouldn’t be time before they closed. He arranged a loaner for me, and when I told him I wouldn’t be able to bring it back until the following Saturday, he said there was a possibility someone could drive my car into Manhattan to swap them out.
They fixed the car fully the following Monday and arranged to have the car delivered on Thursday. The delivery driver (cannot remember his name) was great, very friendly and helpful when I saw that the bonnet hadn’t been closed completely and was a little lopsided. I reached out to Steve to get a list of the things we had decided not to fix, and he wrote back quickly with my answers, and even let me know that they fixed one of the things they’d mentioned was wrong free of charge for the inconvenience of having to wait to get the car back.
The repairs weren’t cheap, and usually I’d take a star off for that — like I said, I regretfully don’t have a ton of knowledge, so I can’t scrutinize what would be a good deal in this case. I hadn’t planned to spend as much as I did going in that day, but I had prepared myself for «dealership prices.» That having been said, the staff was super friendly and efficient, and anticipated every problem and my inconvenience caused by the problem. I would definitely recommend them based on the peace of mind received from fast and courteous communication.

I had an excellent experience with Prestige, from the reception to the sales to the finance department; all were very professional and friendly. They are not the closest Mini dealer to me, but they certainly won me over. I plan on returning to them for serving as well.

I was there in Monday afternoon, Matteo was very helpful and quickly find out what we were looking for (we didn’t even know what we were looking for) Lance the Financial Manager was really nice as well, him and Mateo stayed until almost midnight to finish all the paperwork since we couldn’t wait till next day, Who else do that?! This guys are the best! This guys really know how to take care of there costumers, they were even friendly with my dog. I highly recommend you this dealer, you get the best car being sell by the best people.

This dealership is awesome. If you looking to buy a mini, you should look for Kyle Conner. This young man is the best sales person i have ever met. Super friendly, have a ton knowledge of car specially Mini. He is a mini enthusiasm.
He will answer all your question and trick about how to take care your mini. I got my first mini at the best price possible. No hassle, two tumbs up!

Atrocious service. Auto back on 4 occasions for oil leak. They keep charging us and nothing gets fixed. Get a different car or if you love the way it drives a different repair service.

I own a 2015 Mini Cooper. With that purchase I get «free service» but in reality that include an oil change every 20k miles.
I had a service appointment this week and asked to rotate my tires since it hasn’t been done yet. The car had 26,000 miles. I was told it’s not part of the free service but they have a special at $ 99.00 to get that done. Imagine that?
So rather than spending hours waiting for my free oil change, I left and went to a local STS where they change my oil (synthetic) for $ 59.99 and rotated my tires for under $ 20 bucks.
I save myself $ 29… You should too.
STAY AWAY FROM TGE PRESTIGE MINI «STEAL“ERSHIP !

I’ve been to quite a few dealerships but this one stands out! The receptionists are very friendly and professional. The showroom is not like your normal, cars all over the place, showroom. They have a very organized boutique on the left side and a service area on the right. All sales offices are on the second floor which is awesome because your business isn’t out for everyone to see or hear and the showroom isn’t cluttered or noisy.
They have a little café/​waiting area as well. Stocked with cold water, sodas and a full coffee bar. They even put out buttered rolls the Saturday morning I was here.
The bathrooms are SO CLEAN. They have paper towels, soap, plastic cups and listerine all waiting for you when your finished.
Everything was organized and very well run. Thumbs up for this dealership!

As if driving a MINI wasn’t awesome enough, Prestige MINI makes every experience just as enjoyable. The staff is amazing, courteous and friendly and they feel like family more so than anything else. The dealership is eclectic and fun, and a superb representation of the MINI culture and lifestyle. Only positive vibes out of Prestige MINI and its always an pleasurable experience when you step through their doors. Whether going in for general service or attending one of their MINI enthusiast events, Prestige MINI never disappoints. I wouldn’t trust anyone with my MINI besides the certified technicians and staff at Prestige MINI. 5 stars isn’t simply enough. Personally, I would give them the entire galaxy.

Bought my 2012 Mini Cooper S at Prestige and the purchase experience was great.
I went for the 5 year maintenance plan which has turned out to be a great value.
I also went for the extended warranty as I was a bit worried about reliability but this generation has proven to be quite reliable.
3 years later and finally paid this baby off and I still have 2 years maintenance left and 3 years warranty.
Service has been wonderful. Just regular fluid changes such as oil and brake fluid and brakes etc for the most part with the exception of one incident where I had a «half engine» light that required a dealer visit to resolve.
The dealer has provided me with a nice loaner car on all of the visits and serviced the car by the time it was promised. It doesn’t get better than that.

I just leased my 3^rd Mini from Prestige and the experience was amazing. The price was negotiated over the phone which was super easy. I came in to test drive the car (2015 Mini Cooper S) and the car speaks for itself. If you drive one, you want one! I put a deposit down that day and picked the car up a few days later. The car delivery process was fun. I worked with Lance (Finance Manager) and he went over all the documentation. He made sure everything was clearly stated and answered any and all questions I had about the lease.
This is my second time working with Suditi (Motoring Advisor). She’s Awesome! She has always been friendly and knowledgeable (how many people can say they have become friends with their salesperson?). She took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted and found the perfect car for me. Suditi is the reason I keep coming back to this dealership (aside from the free car washes). Prestige makes you feel like you are part of a family and I can’t imagine getting a Mini from any other dealership.

Experience with Jeff — general manager = Awful. I walked in as a serious potential buyer for the Mini Cooper Roadster (it was my 2^nd time visiting this dealership because I was ready to seal the deal — first visit was very pleasant with a girl there — hence, my decision to return today but unfortunately she was off) … I would have 100% walked out with the car today had we came to terms with the numbers like all serious customers consider — but unfortunately, I met Jeff who was unnecessarily quick to be passive-​aggressive and rude from the start of our discussions. I spent all week visiting surrounding dealerships and and he was by far the least pleasant person to sit with. The effortless 15 minutes he gave me, he had this «if you don’t like it, we don’t need you» attitude. When I mentioned what I’m seeking and other quotes I had recently received or seen advertised — He seemed more focused on debating how wrong/​inexperienced I am vs. wanting to gain a customer by working out secondary options OR trying to make a courteous impression at the VERY least even if there wasn’t going to be a deal. What a shame as I am a loyal Prestige Dealership customer and held high regards to their professionalism and friendliness. Def going elsewhere.

Was looking to trade in a 2012 fully loaded countryman s all 4, sticker price of $ 39k. Car is in mint condition and was purchased at prestige. Was offered $ 14k, insulting offer called one another dealer and was offered $ 18k right away. $ 18k is also the suggested trade in price. Prestige just lost a customer by being greedy. As they have a 2012 with 10k less miles they are selling for $ 23k.

NO ONE at Prestige MINI has tried to contact me. The fact that they said they did is an absolute LIE! I repeat, NO ONE at Prestige MINI HAS TRIED TO CONTACT ME!!!
All Derek Bruno had to do was HIT REPLY on my complaint email. Apparently he couldn’t do that or figure out the very phone number they have been calling for the last 4 years. Instead, he lied. My husband also left a voicemail on Derek Bruno’s direct line, leaving his cell number as the number to call back. I can only assume that was another phantom call Bruno made! Prestige MINI never had any problems contacting me during my warranty period (now, & forever known as the suck up period). In addition, during this last visit, which was my first appointment after the warranty expired, it was confirmed that all my contact information was exactly the same as it has always been. They never made any effort to contact me.
It has now been PROVEN that Prestige MINI not only SWINDLED ME into thinking that I needed an entire break job when I didn’t, they ALSO LIED about changing my oil!!!
Prestige MINI charged me $ 1,500 for work that my car DID NOT NEED, as well as work that was never actually performed. It cost me another $ 1,000 to fix what they missed and what they LIED about doing. Everything they did is now called into question.
If it were my integrity called into question, I would be falling all over myself trying to straighten this out. I’d show up at the customers front door if I had to. Not hide and then lie about it.

Prestige Mini has impressed me in the last two years, specially with their annual car service. They are organized, efficient, and very welcoming to their previous customers. Service advisors like Max Landau make me forget my not so pleasant experience with Ruby. He is knowledeable, polite, and responsive. This is how all dealers should be like.

I had a very unfortunate mishap occur with my 2003 cooper, and was sent by my insurance to prestige mini for diagnosis and repair. Insurance didn’t end up cover it anything at all although the service department fought feverishly for us. In the end I am out a car (thanks progressive!) but all of stress was at times quelled by their wonderful service department-​namely the head, Victor. He did everything he could and in a patient and professional manner. I walk away from prestige with no car but I couldn’t not put in a word for victor. Excellent customer service.

Just Love this place. The service is great ! The staff is friendly. I enjoy the family events that Prestige Mini promotes throughout the year.

After the last Unilocal post, Derek Bruno did in fact call me and my car was picked up from my home and serviced. The battery was replaced and while Steve G. states that this replacement was in «good will» — the fact that there have been NO battery issues since the switch means that there was no good will involved — it was a bad unit that MINI should have fixed when I first mentioned the problem a year ago.
Anyway — fast forward a week or so after the new battery — the engine light comes on while driving. I called Derek Bruno immediately and he quickly sent someone to get the car. This time, the high pressure pump was faulty. It was replaced and the car was returned. So far, so good.
I can’t say I’m thrilled with the amount of issues this MINI is having at such a young age, but I do thank Derek Bruno for making every effort to remediate the situations.

I’ve been lucky enough to purchase 2 Minis from Prestige. Alfredo sold me both — and both experiences were fantastic. Low pressure, quick, and no bullshit.
Every time I’m in for service they wash my car — and are super friendly. However, when you are outside your service agreement and warranty — service here is very expensive! I guess that’s one of the plagues (besides premium gas) in driving a Mini/​BMW!

I always dread buying a car — I always end up feeling like I have been taken advantage of, or deceived, or… you know how it goes. So, what a surprise to have such a wonderful experience at Prestige Mini! My motoring advisor, Dan Vieldhouse, could not have been more patient with me. I had millions of questions, didn’t know what I wanted, needed to be educated… and Dan took the time with me to do just that. He wasn’t pushy, he didn’t try to sell me more than I wanted. He listened to what I needed, and then helped me find a way to do that. When I wanted to delve into every little tiny aspect of financing, he was game for that, and ensured that I had no questions or concerns when we were done.
I came in to Prestige having seen a Certified Pre Owned car on line. Once I was sure that that was the model I wanted (and he walked me through every single model they have!), it turned out that that specific car was not on the lot — it was still being detailed and prepped. So, Dan drove over to the Prep location, found the car, got them to finish it up, and had them drive it over so I could see it. Ultimately, I bought it, and I have to say, you could never tell by looking at it, that it is not brand new. It is just beautiful. I am so pleased with Dan, with Jeff in Finance, and with the dealership as a whole. It is a beautiful facility, and it’s very pleasant to be there. (I should know, as I literally spent the whole day there!) From my first contact with them over the internet, until the moment I walked out the door later that day, the proud owner of a 2012 Mini Countryman with only 16,000 miles on it at a VERY good price, I only have praise for how Prestige Mini runs their business. They surpassed my expectations, and outshone all the other car dealers I visited in the past week. Kudos to the whole team, but especially to Dan Vieldhouse, who happily gave up his entire day to help just one customer find their way through the car buying experience. For the first time ever, I feel like I understand every aspect of the purchase, and there is nothing I would change about it. Thanks, Prestige Mini!

Great service and a professional job. This is my second mini and Prestige is the only place I go (to be honest I have gone to other dealerships but now prestige is the only place I go.) I truly feel this may be the only shop in the northeast Pennsylvania that knows how to treat a customer. The quality of workmanship is exceptional and they work fast. Two thumbs up! I brought my car in for a full-​service at 30,000 miles I needed a tire rotation, high-​speed balance, full detail, brake flush. The car is cleaner than it was when I bought it new from the dealer! Just all-​around very satisfied! Id like to thank Derek Bruno and Steve Calicchio for the attention to detail and respecting my time.
