Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Well for the most part everyone at this location is very nice. I rent from them often probably once twice a month. They are for the most part very accommodating. There is one thing I would like to see changed. When it’s cold outside during the winter months and folks are standing outside waiting for you to open, I wish you would open the doors so at least we could warm up or use the restroom before we hit the road. Personally having to wait until 7:30 for you to open is not good when you have miles to travel and need to be back in the same day or you have a meeting to make. So earlier hours and let people in instead of standing inside looking at us freeze.

I had the best experience with this branch. Meg and Thomas made my day… twice! First was Meg handling ALL the details of my rental right after a pretty rough car accident. She was patient, kind and thorough when I needed her to be. Second was Thomas. He was professional and QUICK! He got me checked out and on my way in less than 15 minutes. Again, handling all the insurance issues. Thanks so much! You guys are the best!

Rented a vehicle from this location for about two weeks while my wife’s car was in the shop getting repairs after a slide out in the rain. Let me just start off by saying this location has an excellent staff very courteous, helpful, and all around provided excellent service. The individual I’d really like to call out here is the branch manager Matt, this gentleman really did some things beyond the standards. We had an unfortunate difficult lockout (keys locked in the trunk) from the rental vehicle during the two weeks and Matt even drove out to the location of the vehicle to make sure that the vehicle would be recovered safely and also got us setup in a new rental immediately. During this time I had a lot going on dealing with the claims adjuster & body shop, about the repairs on our vehicle and really appreciated all of the great service Enterprise provided to make things a little easier. I will definitely be back here if I ever need a rental again.

Enterprise is the worst car rental place I have ever done business with. They added charges for insurance that were 83% per day of what the car rental was… SHAMEFUL!

I rented a car from this location after I was rear ended. The car was nice. Prior to coming into the office, I attempted to call to see if they had my reservation. After 45 minutes of constantly being on hold waiting for someone to speak with, I hung up. When I went into the office there were no customers. After returning the car one of the employees gave my number to another enterprises sales. The salesman has called my phone over a dozen times pressuring me to come into the office. I did not appreciate my number being given out without my permission. I really must consider if I will return to enterprise in the future.

Love this branch ! Meg, Melissa, Matt & Kim are awesome! They do whatever needs to be done to get you into a rental. NO CASH OR MONEY ORDERS. Which is totally fine for me! Love getting them points using my credit card! This is the only branch in sacramento I’ll go to!

Another car rental company was supposed to meet me at the auto body shop. They didn’t show up although they had confirmed the time and location with me three days earlier. After waiting a while, the body shop offered to call and called Enterprise. They were there in just a few minutes. Since this was a different car rental company than I had spoken to a few days earlier, when I arrived at the Enterprise office, I contacted the other company to find out what happened. The person who answered the phone said they didn’t have a reservation in my name, even with the confirmation number they had given me. I called the adjuster from the insurance company that was paying for the rental and he said it would be an out-​of-​pocket expense for me for me if I rented a car from Enterprise and that I needed to wait for him to contact the other company to have them send a car for me. He hung up on me when I tried to get him to talk to the Enterprise manager who was now involved. I was stressed, angry, and late for work. The folks at Enterprise contacted the adjuster’s boss and got the car authorized without any fuss at all. They handled everything and got me into a car right away and had me on my way. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful — all on a Monday morning! When I returned the car five days later, I was pleased and relieved to see the zero balance due on the receipt. They got the job done and they did it well. I literally signed up with Unilocal today because I wanted to give them credit for making my life a little bit easier.

I purchased a vehicle from enterprise in 2014, and along with that I also purchased the extended warranty. I bought a ford cmax 2014 hybrid and began having a few issues, and when I took my car to ford in Folsom on Saturday Sept 12,2015 they gave me a hard time because the original warranty had just expired. I then told them I had an additional warranty without them looking at my terms I was forced to return to enterprise and spoke with my original salesman John Edward. Mr. Edward is a wonderful person, but he asked that I wait and speak with their expert on warranties purchased. Mr Edward went to speak with the Manager Dexter Leger and was told that my warranty covered a rental car if needed and all the other items I needed. I know this because Mr. Dexter Leger’s office is only about 25 feet away so well within hearing distance. I was told to go back to ford and if I had any more problems to have the service department at ford call him and he will intervene. I returned back to Folsom lake ford and again they gave me problems, I asked that they call Dexter Leger and they did. I was stunned to hear him tell ford that I would have to wait till Monday to get my rental car and that he could not help me. I was so upset that I returned to enterprise and told Dexter Leger that he was the worst manager I had ever delt with and that he sells the extended warranties on cars purchased and did not stand behind them if needed. I needed to get to work on Monday and he suggested I rent a car and if I had rental in my warranty then they may transfer the responsible name to enterprise and I told him he had my policy in his computer and he could just look it up. He said he could not help me. I also told him I had wasted 4 hours and ford wanted to keep my car and that I needed to get to work on Monday, again he said he understood but could not help me. The salesmen John Edward seeing I was so upset offered to drive me to and from work on Monday. He also located a rental car and was going to pay for it out of his own pocket. I would advise anyone dealing with Enterprise and Dexter Leger go elsewhere. He is why people don’t want to deal with car salesmen. He has no integrity he takes your money and then runs. Please don’t get me wrong John Edward has sold us several cars and never had a problem but as far as the Manager its a shame Enterprise does not care about customer service. Usually each time I rent it’s smooth process. I rented a car two weekends in a row. This time I returned the car after a trip to Levi stadium. I had 3 teenage boys in the car with me. They are not mindful on where they step. They tracked in some dirt from the parking lot. When I returned it the next day the lady told me someone smoked in the car and it would be a $ 200 cleaning fee. I told her no one smoked in the car. She didnt even ask… she just flat out blamed me. She said there was ash all over the car and a few windows were rolled down. I think it’s rude to just assume someone smoked in there. I can see maybe if there was an over use of Febreze. A lady pulled the car around rolled up the windows then came back inside and said no one smoked in there. The lady I was dealing with told me they will wave the fee but if the next person who rents the car smells it, they will have to charge me.

I WAS satisfied with the rental process through this office however recently after returning our upgraded rental we were on the hook for mileage, which is usually unlimited. It totally felt shady the way the woman helping us told us, we didn’t even put up a fight, we were surprised. We’ve rented several times through them and quite honestly felt that the staff should have mentioned mileage would be assessed after a certain threshold. Especially since our vehicle wasnt even ready at our pick up time, 3 hours later we get a dirty suv. No biggie because we were roadtripping it anyway. Nope, guess customer service is dead to them and we’ll go back to Budget. After all the times we’ve rented from them and felt like there would be no hidden terms, but not that they care, they’ve lost recurrent (business) customers but based on the final rental I doubt they’ll even care.

Rancho Cordova and Elk Grove sites have both been more than helpful. I had a particular problem to solve and everyone friendly and went beyond the basics to help me out. The resale department staff were also very helpful. Thanks to all.

Mostly good, you guys are just too busy lately. I had taken rental few times, and you had been ok everytime.
Though yes, can we do something about hours on Sunday? Taking a car on Saturday to get back on Sunday, paying for extra day is just steal.

Customer service here is top notch! I’ve been renting a car from this location for over two months and they have always been very accommodating. The only thing I would recommend is for them to offer a courtesy upgrade to long term customers. I normally rent from airports and have almost always been offered a courtesy upgrade of one class.

Worst customer service… I’m sorry I can’t rate it a «no stars». I went a week before the rental was necessary, to arrange for the rental only to find their assortment of premium cars was nonexistent. The clerk said all of their nice cars were kept at the airport. For $ 50 a day, that my rental company was covering, the best they could do was a Rav4 with a huge hole in the carpet. When at the appointed time to be picked up, I had a limited English speaker call me to confirm, I thought it was a wrong number. Another man called back again and said he was on his way. Two men came to pick me up in a smoke ridden vehicle. (They said they didn’t know why people smoked in the cars.) I waited over an hour for them to find a comparable car to the one I had reserved. Not really sure why I bothered with doing the paperwork ahead of time because the clerk couldn’t find it. Two weeks later, I got a call stating my vehicle needed to be returned as I’d spent the allotted funds even though my car wasn’t ready. So, I returned the car as I didn’t want to be charged $ 50 a day (for a non premium vehicle) … After relaying the info to my insurance company, they called Marissa, who supposedly had everything arranged for an extension. I was told to cal Marissa, who was busy so Jared, who claimed to be the mgr, put me on hold numerous times trying to find the records of me returning the car. After 20 minutes on the phone with me, he said he’d call me back. Jarrod called an hour later to say that my contract has been extended. What a joke. Wondering how they stay in business — also wonder how they get away with charging $ 50 a day… no wonder we pay so much in insurance premiums …

Greg W. My most recent experience ⁴⁄₂₀₁₅ was as good as I have had at any rent a vehicle company. Beatrice provided excellent customer service. She was professional, courteous, and conscience. The car performed (Chrysler 200) as expected and was clean when I picked it up. Lastly, after I drop the vehicle off and requested a ride to my residence they did not make me sit around. Thank you Beatrice for a good customer experience.

I’ve been escaping the rat race periodically throughout the year. Every time I leave I visit the good folks at Enterprise, never had a problem. At first, I chose to use my debit card not credit card, they explained the process to me and we’re extremely courtesy. The next couple of visits were the same great service and understanding people once they see that I rent from them more than once per year the «flood gates» of residual revenue are gladly reopened and they get me on my way in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this Enterprise location especially if you’re not trying to go to the airport when you don’t have a flight to catch!

I got the news on a Friday that my car needed a part that had to be ordered, and the car would not be reliable enough to be driven over the weekend. As luck would have it, I had no other transportation, so I looked up car rentals online.
Enterprise was by far the most cost effective. They had a wonderful, REASONABLE weekend rate which included 100 miles per day. They picked me up from my work and brought me to the Enterprise location. Spectacular customer service. They even brought me from the Enterprise office to the shop to pick my car up once it was fixed. Everyone was truly professional and helpful. I highly recommend Enterprise Rent A Car and will do business with them again!

Had to rent a truck for about 4 hours for a quick move. Past experiences have lead me to have some serious mistrust of car rental places. Mostly because they never have the cars you need, the wait is insane, and the staff is so rushed that it makes customer service no existent.
We walked in for our scheduled appointment and was greeted by Liz and what a pleasant surprise. She was fast and nice and we were both shocked! Our truck was ready, a quick swipe of the card and we were on our way!
We will be back; customer service was great!

I have rented from Enterprise about 4 times a year on average for the past 6 – 7 years and have never had any issues. Lately however, the reservation people have started taking more and more of my information. Normally, this is not an issue as I know that it is needed. My issue is that they don’t seem to be saving it and then when I rent again the next time I have to give it all to them again. This year I rented twice within the month of June and both times spent over 30 minutes just updating the same information.
Additionally, on the second rental, upon my return there was a small scratch that happened when the RV Rental was dropped off. I understand that this is something that I have to take responsibility for and will do so, however, I received paperwork in the mail saying that the process maybe slowed down because they may still be renting the car out before getting it in the shop for repairs. This is unfortunate for me because I have to sit and wait to see what the damage costs are going to be until a time comes when they do not have that car booked for a rental.
Since we are still in the waiting game I will plan on updating this review once the process is complete.

Enterprise has been my prime rental service since my work days at Cal EPA. We contracted with them as they were cheaper than using state vehicles. With my dropping car ownership 10 years ago, I’ve used Enterprise ever since and have been very happy with their help and service, even in reserving cars for me for a Florida trip and one to Las Vegas. Aaron has been a big help in my need for vehicles. The staff does their best to reserve the cars I need (primarily hatchbacks) for my music instruments and varied errands. They even got a mini-​van so I could transport five antique bicycles for a display with Amgen Tour of California in Modesto. They are a great boon to the Rancho Cordova community and I will continue using them. They go the extra MILE to help me.
