After the terrible experience I had at the Kings Wigs on Mack Road yesterday(read my review on the Mack road store), I had to give this Kings Wigs mad props and show my love and appreciation to the employees at this location in Rancho. I am a frequent customer and have spent a lot of money in this place,(which doesn’t really matter too much), but the employees at this location notice me, and acknowledge the fact I am there often, and they treat me awesome every time… I love that. Grace is my gal in the wig department who is an absolute sweetheart and is always so helpful. Kia is the cute girl at the register. Love them both. Thank you to this location for making me feel like I am important to you and that I am valued… Really means a lot to me. I’ll see you soon(probably next week)! :)

I’m currently losing my hair to chemotherapy, so I am interested in wig supplies like wig caps and wig tape. King’s Wigs is close to my house, so I decided to check there first. King’s DOES have a wide selection of products: wigs and accessories, wig care and hair weaves and extensions. On the other hand, it’s rather unnerving to go into a shop and get treated as though you’ve already been caught shoplifting. I asked about wig caps and tape, and the lady at the counter said she would hold onto them, which is fine, but she never offered to let me see what I was buying. I decided to walk around the store. I was watched closely. In the back of the store there were 3 people shopping for wigs. There were 2 store employees watching their every move. Speaking of employees, the lady behind the front counter was rather abrupt and seemed in a hurry for us to take our purchases and leave. Theft is a problem for stores, and I can understand why store owners would want to guard against shoplifters, but shopping in a store where every customer is treated with suspicion is not very comfortable. I would much rather shop at a store with a smaller selection and a more friendly attitude. Whether or not you decide to shop there… that’s up to you, but I bet that if you search on Unilocal or Google, you can find a wig store with a more friendly attitude. As for me, I’m going to find another store, because this is the last thing I need right now.

This place has a large selection but has horrible customer service. I came in about 15 minutes before closing, and I was screamed at for the whole 10 minutes I was there saying that I needed to leave because they were closing,I wouldn’t spend anymore more money at this beauty supply.

I really don’t know why this place has received bad reviews, my experience with them was very pleasant. The young lady who waited on me was very knowledgeable and helped me find exactly what I needed in record time. Their prices are excellent compared to other places I looked at. I would recommend them and plan to return.

I came here with my co-worker to purchase I-tips extensions. I didn’t know what to get so I’m thankful my co-worker was my personal shopper when it came to picking the right hair. My co-worker wanted the 808 brand hair(she calls it the Bentley of hair) and when the assistant(older Asian man, seemed to be the owner) stated they only had 18″, he brought out an ombré pack that was absolutely perfect! My hair is dark brown and my tips are a dark caramel due to out grow. The extensions here pretty expensive($ 269.00) and they don’t have a lot in stock so make sure you call before hand and prepare to pay. The micro shrinks I got(size medium) was $ 27.99(without tax). However, the extension stylist I went to said to mention her name and I would receive 10% off(saved me $ 26.90). If you’re looking for extension services, visit 916 hair extensions and you’ll speak with Robye(Robbie). Mention my name(Blakeley) and she will take great care of you!

Very rude staff, little to no respect for African Americans who really are the bulk of their customers. Also, don’t expect to be treated like a customer even if you routinely spend lots of money there and have done so for years. Time to find somewhere else to spend my money.

Horrible!!! I went through a whole ordeal with this establishment, and will NEVER go back! I went in one day to buy some hair at the last minute, for a family function i had the following night, and the lady suggested that i buy a lace-front being that i had a limited amount of time. I tried on a display model, but purchased a new one. Once i got in the car i realized i had purchased the wrong color, i immediately went in to return/exchange it, and the lady who allowed me to try on the display model, lied to the store manager and told him that she sold me the display. Mind you the wig i bought was still in the package with all it’s original wrapping/tags. It hadn’t even been 10mins., and i was told that i could not exchange nor return. Me and the manager got into a huge argument after he became blatantly disrespectful, as if i was trying«cheat» him out of some money. When in actuality, i was the one being cheated out of $ 56.00, just because the color i was sold, wasn’t the one that i tried on. The store manager was completely irrational, greedy, and stubborn. I’m positive that if my skin color was different, we could’ve came to a solution. So, I vowed that i’d never go there again and would inform all my friends and family to do the same. I’m an accomplished african-american woman, who has no problem paying for quality, but never will i pay to be disrespected, and have my money taken for granted. I’ve since started ordering my hair/hair products online,( ) and would suggest everyone to do the same. The prices are cheaper, and if you don’t mind waiting a lil’ longer for shipping, the customer service is also great!

I walked right in knowing that I wanted 2 Afro Puffs. I ask for them, «Miki»(the lady helping me) showed them to me and I fell in love with those two sponge looking things. I figured I would try on an actual Afro too just in case so Miki led me to the back where there were more wigs than I could count. Every color, every length, every style you could possibly imagine. I purchased a «head sock»(not sure what the proper name for it is) for a dollar and Miki brings out this Afro that was bigger than a basket ball and tells me that I could make it bigger with a pic. Oh shit! Bigger?!? hahaha! I put it on and when I looked at her and then the mirror we both nearly fell to the ground, we laughed so hard. The change caught us both by surprise and it took a while for us to get it together and we realized once our eyes adjusted to the magnitude of this Afro, that it actually looked slammin’. Now I was not so sure about the puffs because the Afro was great! I had her show me the puffs again and that was it, I was taking them as I had to ask her for them because they were not on display and I thought they would be pretty cool to wear and hopefully unique. I told Miki I was going to a 70’s party and she then led me to some earrings that were as big as the puffs so I bought them. She hooked me up! She was super sweet, super funny, and super helpful. It’s too bad I don’t wear wigs more often because I loved the place. The guy at the register was getting a kick out of us too and every so often I’d catch him laughing. I noticed they had a lot of stuff you could use for costumes… weird contact lenses, hair pieces, jewelry, etc. Now I have to figure out where else I’m going to rock the puffs.

This place is great for tacky costume jewelry and hair accessories. The human hair wigs are pretty good quality for a decent price, but they make you buy a hair cap for $ 1 before you try any of them on. However, beware: the owners will eyeball you and ask if you need help constantly until you actually get out your credit card and pay for your pile of plastic shit. I’m not bothered by it and usually just tune it out, but it can get annoying. I guess there’s always a price to pay for awesome cheap crap. Oh, and if you’re wondering what kind of neighborhood it’s in, the shop next door makes grills. Radness.
