Very unprofessional. Long wait times and unfriendly staff. I will never go here again. Also they make you wait for ever when you make an appointment but if you ever miss one they send you a bill for $ 50. Look elsewhere for your dental care

My husband and I moved to Sacramento from San Diego and we were worried about finding a GOOD new dentist. The last dentist group we had was substandard and we are lucky to have found a dentist that is close to our home as well as professional. Doctor Nilo Tapang is an OUTSTANDING dentist and his staff reflects the professionalism and courtesy we were hoping for.
I made my initial appointment and was immediately greeted by Joanna, who set up the appointment. She answered all of my questions efficiently and if she did not know the answer right away was able to relay the information elsewhere and get back to me right away. This showed me that they will go above and beyond for their clients. Throughout our appointment we would see how well the customer service was from the assistants, hygienists, office managers, and Dr. Tapang.
I would have future appointments and today decided to write my comprehensive review. Service is always well executed and very organized. Every appointment so far has made me feel comfortable and I am always greeted politely when I arrive. The office itself is in a small business center, but easy to find from the street (you will see a big sign that says Dentist, next to Mather Pet Hospital). The office is very clean and modern looking, with a high definition television in the waiting area, but even more impressive is the patient rooms which are very high tech. The x-​rays are digital and from the staff’s explanation, it provides a clearer picture of teeth.
In addition to the excellent customer service and professional environment, the staff does not make you feel pressured to get additional services and they are very clear about what to expect on your follow-​up appointments. When we first came in, they took a picture of my teeth as well as my husband’s and showed the possibilities of whitening and Lumineers. My last dentist did not show this politeness but almost made us feel pressured to get certain services. We immediately left that dentist. I don’t like feeling pressured to do anything so it was quite refreshing to know that they want you to consider all options first before deciding on a procedure. But knowing me, I’ll more than likely get the Lumineers because they looked amazing in the proposal photo they gave me.
Lastly, they have reminders the week before your appointment to confirm. This also gives you opportune time to change your date. If you do need to cancel an appointment, you have to do it at least 24 hours before to prevent incurring a $ 25 fee for unnoticed cancellations. I believe it is now a $ 50 fee so make sure to cancel if need be. This is actually a great way to keep appointments because they do have a lot of patients come in and each patient appointment is important and individualized. They base how much staff they need by the appointments because some procedures may take longer than others.
With that said, I highly recommend Dr. Nilo Tapang’s dental practice. His staff is highly trained, personable and this is reflected in how they treat their patients. Even more so, is that the entire staff is friendly and they make you feel at home. Coming from Southern California and moving into a new neighborhood and new city, it is nice to feel this way.
