I really love this place. My hair is always cut right he remembers my haircut I don’t have to explain it every time I always make an appointment to make sure that I don’t have to wait. 12 bucks for a guys haircut is not bad at all and then by a real Barber. I feel that we should support our small town shops, barbers and another businesses. this place definitely deserves your business. I even left my money at home one time and you cut my hair and let me come back later that day to give it to him things like that make you appreciate small businesses. Definitely a returning customer as long as I live in Rancho Cordova.

Pete and his son Andy are great barbers and they run a clean, no-frills, inexpensive barber shop. I’ve been going to them for 8 – 10 years, and I plan on continuing to go to them. I get my haircut by Pete or Andy – they are both excellent barbers and good guys. I am in my mid-50’s, bald on top and somehow they can always cut my remaining hair on the sides without taking it down to the scalp – like most barbers I’ve tried before Pete’s always did – not the look I was going for! I highly recommend Pete’s Barber Shop to all guys.

Pete is a friendly guy. Professional haircut. He does appointments every 15min. Good price. I’ll definitely be back.

I have been going here for the past 10 years and it is a great place to get a good quality hair cut. It is run by Pete(father) and Andy. I generally get my cut from Andy because I am used to him and I don’t have to give him instructions. He knows what I want. I do not like to go places like quick cut or chain hair cut salons. I saw Mr. Drew. K posting in the reviews that they barely spoke English. Are you sure you went to Pete’s?

Horrible. I went here for a quick, last minute haircut before my college graduation, and I am thankful that my graduation cap was large enough to cover enough of my awful haircut for my pictures. I told my barber, who barely spoke English, that I wanted a spiked cut with an inch on top and a 3 on the sides and back. Somehow I ended up with 2 inches of chopped up hair with weird looking bangs, parted from the side of my head so much that I looked like Donald Trump. It was one of the worst haircuts I have ever received. Then I had to run across the street to get cash because I didn’t know they were cash only. I don’t often give 1-star ratings, but they deserve it.

Pete’s Barber Shop is a classic, old school, down to business barber shop. It’s true that many, if not most, of the customers have been going there for many years, myself included. In no way is Pete’s an exclusive club — if you want to call ahead and mention that you will be there at a certain time it helps them to pace but they don’t take appointments. It may even be years before they learn your name. With just a few instructions on the cut I’m looking for, Pete or Andrew do an equally capable job. It’s true, the small talk is optional and is usually left to whichever sport is in season. If you’re looking for a barber shop that can fulfill your hair cutting needs over a lifetime with consistency, Pete’s Barber Shop can be the last barber shop you ever have to select.

I went to this shop three times. Just an average barber shop and prices are above average. Unless they know you well you get unfavorable treatment. On my second visit, I waited for about 20 minutes for a chair and someone walked in they knew and he went in front of me. They explained that he had called ahead. The next time I called ahead for an appt. and was told that it was first come first served. They must have enough regulars to not want new customers. I certainly won’t go back. You can go to Bobby Ds about a mile away for a cut that cost $ 8 and no line cutters.

Great place to get a regular haircut without worrying about having to chit chat with a «stylist». Pete & son are definitely old school and provide a quality cut at a good price, now $ 12.00. Located just off HWY50 on Mather Field Road towards the airport and almost directly across the street from Circle K.

This is a great barber shop, run by father and son, they cater mostly to military guys wanting high n’ tights, its a great place. They don’t decorate the place with antique-y things, décor is minimal and utilitarian — a cork board near the barbers chairs where local contractor and tile installers, etc have pinned their business card. For reading material while you wait — car magazines and girlie magazines. The TV is tuned to sports or sports. During Christmas time they put up lights and a wire frame Christmas tree. If you become a regular they can usually remember what kind of cut you want. When they are done they will use warm shaving cream and shave your neck, sideburns, and behind the ears — not many places do that anymore. The cost is $ 11, but I could be off by a buck either way.
