R U Tan

CAN ANYONE PROVIDED SOME PRICES? Specials? Cheap plans for Month?! There website doesn’t work and they would give any pricing over the phone. I’m already loosing interest.

How many dum-​dums does it take to check in a single customer? Here, at least two.
I stopped in to this Rancho Cordova location since I was in the area and short on time. No one was manning the front desk as I walked in; a moment later I was greeted by a very casually dressed girl. I spelled out the last name on my account, and she responded with «Have you been here before?» Meaning she didn’t immediately find me in their computer system. I explained it was my first visit to this location and I’m a regular at the downtown salon. I spelled my name out a second time and she responded with «Well, it’s done this before.» Meaning, I can only assume, that Rancho Cordova computers don’t spell names the same way downtown computers do, because of the language barrier between cities. I handed her my driver’s license, in case the spelling of my name was still unclear, and suggested she just call the downtown salon and confirm my account information with them (I’ve never had any problems getting checked in there and the employees seem to be somewhat familiar with their clients’ names). At this point another employee appeared (she had a toddler in tow; I surmised she was a manager stopping in for a visit) and Employee One all but threw up her hands in despair over the computer not producing my account within three tries. Employee Two took over and I provided my name a fourth time, and for the second time suggested they contact the downtown salon to confirm my identify, all the while competing with the whines of a two-​year old vying for Mommy’s attention. In the midst of this clusterfuck, the phone rang and a faceless Third Employee was drawn into The Drama of Checking In Brook Y.
At this point Employee Two asked me, «Is it possible it would be under another name?»
I’m not sure I can really explain how insulted I actually STILL am at even the suggestion that, between ME and the two dimwits at the front desk, the most obvious solution would be that I’m the person who has my fucking name wrong.
I spelled my name a fifth time and lo, my account was suddenly, miraculously unearthed from deep within the bowels of the Rancho Cordova R U Tan computer system. Since neither employee bothered offering any polite explanation as to why the last five minutes of my time had just been wasted, I can only assume that no one (well, except for ME) ever spelled my name right in the first place and they were too spineless to admit to the mistake and apologize for it. Other possibilities include: the time difference between Sacramento and Rancho Cordova, wrinkles in the space time continuum and what’s commonly known as «computer voodoo.»
I don’t think I’ll be taking any more chances here.

Really good service. The price is competitive and I appreciate all the extra perks about these locations unlike their competition. Perks include — little to no wait, aerosol deodorant, face and body wipes, cold bottled water if you ask and a little candy to help make the time go by quicker in the bed ;) I’m really happy about switching from the competition. no more pretentious employees and pushy sales people. The prices and extras sold me, the customer service to me is just the cherry on top!

Got my first spray tan yesterday to give it a try before my wedding, and I’m definitely not going back. My hands are orange (I put the special blocker on my hands like they instructed) and my breasts and armpits are still white! The only reason I give 3 stars is because the ladies were really nice there. Very disappointed, but luckily I got a groupon and didn’t pay a lot for it.

I love this place! The girls there are super knowledgable about taking care of your skin and made me feel welcome. Nikki helped me with my lotions and deciding which of their beds best suited my needs. She was incredibly sweet and I will be back again!

Good and affordable tanning salon. I just wish they changed the bulbs in the bed more often

Good tanning salon and pricing is very affordable. Staff is friendly and very helpful.
I highly recommend putting individual mirrors in each tanning room!!!

Love the service, totally knowledgable staff (AMBER). Not only was she nice but she taught me that when ur in a stand up bed u tan better because u have better blood circulation… Impressive huh, they hire the best here. def recommend this place to anyone who is waiver between the other completion in Sacramento.

I wanted to get a spray tan for my wedding so I bought a groupon good for two spray tans. One to test out and one to use before my wedding day.
I booked the first appointment a little over a month before my wedding and had a great experience. The woman that sprayed me was awesome and made me feel really comfortable. The tan was great. I was told by the woman working the front desk to gauge how many days after the tan I feel would be the best coloring for my wedding day and then book my appointment for my wedding tan that number of days before the big day.
The lucky number was three days.
I called right away to book the appointment. I spoke with the same front desk lady. She told me that they didnt not have a spray tan person working that day of the week, but not to worry because the other location had a spray tan person available at 11am that day. That location was a little farther away, but I wanted wonderful pictures, so I made the appointment and scheduled all of my other pre-​wedding activities around that appointment.
So, that day, I am literally driving to my spray tan appointment and I get a call from R U Tan telling me that the spray tan person that was scheduled to do my tan had an emergency and was not going to be able to tan me. I explained to the girl that called that I needed to get sprayed for my WEDDING and asked if there was someone else that could do it. She rambled a few minutes and told me she’d call me back. She called back about 10 minutes later to tell me that the spray tanner could see me at 3pm, which wouldnt work for me. The girl then says to me «Well, I dont know what else to tell you, DUDE.» Yes, she called me «dude!»
I was pissed, but had to keep my composure to see if there was any other spray tanning salons that had availability… and there were not.
So basically, I got married with HORRIBLE tan lines and pasty white skin, wearing a strapless dress. Something I paid for to avoid.
I DO NOT recommend this place based on their lack of consideration. They totally ruined my wedding photos. I still have one more spray tan I didnt use. They can keep it.

Same TIRED equipment as the store they shut down less than a block away. Same staff that are really phony and uncaring. They burned me REALLY bad at the last store and while apologetic, it felt forced and uncaring.

I am about as pale as a person can get and being from a medical background, I was very unsure about the whole tanning thing. Considering how I want to actually look healthy (color-​wise), I decided to give tanning a shot.
I started here a week ago and I LOVE it. The staff is super friendly and personable, the location is small but VERY clean despite how busy it seems every time I come in, no matter the time of day. They offer multiple tanning options as well as packages and even though it is a tad pricey, they help you figure out what is best for you without trying to pressure you or short sell you, They have tons of lotions to purchase as well as single use packs to help you decide which one you might like. To top it off, they also have some cute clothes and accessories for sale which is unrelated to tanning but fun just the same.
I strongly suggest coming here, between the clenliness and the staff, it is well worth it.

pretty good service! I originally had an appointment at the downtown Sacramento location today but they had to cancel on me because their worker was sick (major bummer). The good thing was that this location could accommodate me without too far advance notice (fantastic).
I arrived fifteen minutes early for my appointment but she still did my spray tan when I arrived. Good service and excellent tan. She was super friendly too.
In and out in less than fifteen minutes. That’s what I call a great experience!

I gave this tanning salon a try because I recently purchased a Groupon for this place. This place is okay. It was still in the process of renovating, so it wasn’t all that fancy shmancy inside like other salons I’ve been to. However, the girls here were really nice. The Groupon I bought was for the mega (standard) beds only, so when these beds were all occupied, they would upgrade me to the super beds for FREE, which is super awesome! Not only I didn’t have to wait, but I was upgraded to the nicer and quicker resulting beds.
