I am a first time mom and was hesitant about placing my child in a daycare facility, however KinderCare eased my mind. I took a tour and everything appeared to be running smoothly and I was told that my daughter can have a free day. The following week after the tour I accompanied my daughter on her free day! She loved the atmosphere as she did the day of the tour. As a mom who is very intuitive with her child, I feed off of my child’s energy and when we spent a few hours at KinderCare she had«happy hands» which means, Mom, I love this place”! My daughter loves her teachers. The staff are very nice! I receive pictures of my child throughout the day as well as detailed day reports of her feeding, diaper changes as well as comments about my child. I have a great relationship with the teachers. I like that I am able to stay with my child for hours to make sure she adjusts well to the environment in which she has no problem doing.

I went to KinderCare for a tour for my 2 girls. When I arrived and waited outside the doorI heard an infant crying(loudly). When I was let in and met by the admin. she asked me to fill out a form and I then asked her about the crying baby, who was still crying. She told me that the babies were going down for naps and that was normal. I couldn’t help but look in the window and watch 2 aids walk past that baby 3x. I did tell her I was not ok with that and she just shrugged it off. We talked for about 4 minutes(still standing by the infant nursery) about what I was looking for as far as care and I brought up again about the(still) crying baby. During the tour I watched a older child, approx 9 run into the toddler room and jump on what looked like a gym area with her dirty shoes. YUK. Over in the corner was a aid changing a diaper of a little girl with all her privates exposed to me(A total stranger). I asked about meals and was told they offer breakfast at 9, lunch at 11, and a snack just before 5. «What if the child is hungry and wants snack at around 2pm?». The answer to that question was this: «We do not give it to them because then they would all want a snack.» Unacceptable, if a child is hungry, feed them, and if the others want to eat also, you feed them too.

My kids kept getting hurt without incident reports written up. I was not notified when my child had a bloody nose. I talked to the director but nothing changed. I never had this happen at the other day cares my kids were in.
