I signed up for my mom that has moderate dementia, when I explained the circumstances to the director that came to assess my mom she assured me she would fit her with a caregiver that knew how to handle dementia patients. When caregiver arrived at my moms, 2 hours went by and mom my said she didnt know this lady and told her to leave her home. Director called and told me to take my mom to my home for weekend where caregiver could come over and keep watching her, i declined for why pay for caregiver at my home when I am there watching my mom.
So caregiver went home after two hours of care, i got the invoice for 24 hour care, they are only concerned about the money, not care of my mom i felt. It is not an hourly service.
