I have nothing bad to say about this place. A lot of silver age and modern age comics. Lots of action figures and really cool collectibles on card. Very few loose figures. They even has a whole section in the back with nothing but Hot Wheels! Fairly priced comics and the guys will even give you a good deal on just charging the flat rate if you’re paying in cash and not credit card. Great place but don’t pay any mind to the store hours sign on the door and just call before you go there to see if they’re open because they have weird hours.

We’ve dropped close to $ 600 already at Bunky Brothers. This is a comic store for the collector and the casual fan but not one for somebody looking for the latest issue of their favorite title. There is one up the road called 4 Color Fantasies if that is what you want. My wife and I collect comics. I collect Bronze and Silver age(mostly Marvel) and she collects DC and Charlton horror comics. Bunky had plenty of what we were looking for and their pricing was very fair. Most places charge above the going rate for older issues; Bunky charges fair rates on their graded issues and«friendly» rates on their non-graded issues. They also have a loyalty program which is nice. We have always gotten great service even the first couple of times that we went in(i.e. before we became«regulars» whom are known by the staff). My daughter geeks out over the Star Wars toys and games there. They also have a strong selection of collector level toys if that is your thing. We’ve been to most of the comic shops around Southern California and Bunky is one of the best.

Standard comic book store with a few cool items here and there. I didn’t see any super«rare» or «hard to find» items(most of the stuff is what I’ve seen in other comic book places). This place seems like an «up and coming» type shop. With the friendly greetings and willingness to engage the customers, I’m certain this place is going to thrive for years to come. I wish them well, and hope to stop in soon(and hopefully often) to purchase a few things on my next visit.

I came here with a friend and wanted to look for specific items. There was a dollar box filled with a variety of toys and each piece costs $ 1 but the cashier only did that for one item and he put a $ 1.50 for the rest of the items we got. The cashier there also didn’t know what he has so he’s not very knowledgeable. I’ll come back here only if I can’t find an item I’m looking for anywhere else.

Awesome customer service, friendly and helpful. I was more than surprised at how nice the people were working here after reading so many bad reviews for this place. People, please realize that this store specializes in older comics. They have a nice variety of Newer TPB as well.

I will NEVEREVER go in here again. I went in there on my way to an interview and poked around a bit, finally I asked about a Watchmen comic they had on display. The clerk, whom I assume is the owner said he had no idea about which release or date it was and didn’t want to open it. So, I looked around a bit more and told him that I probably wouldn’t be interested in buying anything and was just looking from there. At this point, the man made a point to tell me he claimed he was armed(which I highly doubt!). I said ‘Excuse me?’ and asked if he was the owner, because I wanted to complain. He said yes at first, then no and refused to give me contact information. At this point some punk kid came out and flipped me off threatening to fight me!!! Seriously??? What the hell is going on in these creeps minds? Horrible, ignorant people with horrible service.

Heading north on Archibald from Ontario, the sign out front advertising comic books got my attention and my geek radar went off. I went in and saw that the store was more about Silver Age and older kiddie comics than the more contemporary comics and graphic novels I’m into. The store was on the cramp side as there is a lot of long boxes of comics and not much in the way of walking space but there was a nice variety of comics, art, and other collectibles. To summarize, the place isn’t exactly for a comic book fan such as myself but I can see some diehard Silver Age fans loving the place.
