I was SoooooooooooO disappointed with my fav Sushi spot in the IE. I’ve been Vegan for almost 4yrs now. They would make Avocado rolls, and substitute Crabmeat with tofu. Tonight they took my order. Their chef John refused to substitute tofu. I regularly go to both locations and they both make the substitute. So I guess now I’m looking for a new fav Sushi spot. Maybe return to B&F Sushi.

We ordered the veggie ramen, una don, and combination bento. I was encouraged by the positive reviews, but I should’ve known better. There are no good Japanese restaurants this far inland. The tuna sashimi was not fresh at all, it had clearly been sitting in the freezer for some time and had a terrible flavor. The salmon was fine, but not memorable. The shrimp tempura was 70% batter, 30% shrimp; it was incredibly disappointing. The cucumber sunamono was refreshing. Veggie ramen was a little on the bland side, but ramen is usually only good when the restaurant specializes in it. The una don didn’t come out until after everything else was eaten. The kitchen needs to work on their timing. The restaurant is incredibly busy. Expect to wait if you don’t have a reservation. Our server was great and super friendly. It seemed like the place was understaffed, they definitely could benefit from another waiter. If you’re looking for drinks and California rolls, then this is a great place to hang out. If you’re looking for quality and authentic Japanese cuisine, then skip this place.

My S.O. Wanted to avoid omokase because the name was misspelled. Well I figured Kountry folks chicken was great so were gonna have to go on food quality and not spelling. I have sat down and eaten here on more than one occasion and they have excellent cuts of fish and good service. I use Omokase more for pickup and take out on the way home. They do a great job of packing everything well to go and making sure you can safely take it without spilling. I know that if you are always on the run this is a godsend. If you place a to go order for over $ 50 they have you leave a credit card number to haold it and charge you when you get there. I alwaays loved the salmon skin salad it is amazing. Just if you are watching your weight order the dressing on the side.

I’m so glad I was in the area and was able to discover this gem! :-) I arrived here on a Saturday night for dinner and it was extremely packed. The wait for a party of 2 was stated to be about 30 minutes for a table. However, it was mentioned to me that there was a shorter wait for the bar. My friend and I didn’t mind waiting so we just stood near the reception table patiently. We were finally called for our table and I’m more than sure we waited less than 15 minutes. My friend and I had already had a chance to look through the menu and the Unilocal reviews/pictures while waiting so we already knew what we wanted to order. We got the regular sashimi platter(salmon, tuna, white fish, and seared hamachi), ichiban roll and the heavenly burrito. Regular sashimi platter: 4 types of fish and 3 slices of each. It also came with seaweed salad and squid. The slices were extremely thick and generous. The slices of sashimi melted in my mouth! It was absolutely delicious Ichiban roll: spicy yellow fish(or salmon I’m not sure), cucumber and avocado topped with salmon, white fish, tuna and shrimp. It was my first time trying this and it was good! Heavenly burrito: salmon, tuna, crab salad and avocado wrapped in soy wrap. The chunks of sashimi inside this were very generous and large. My friend and I were really full after eating just this! All in all, I can’t wait to come back and try other things.

I came here on a Saturday night around 730. It was weird because bar seats were available the entire time we waited but we got seated there after waiting for 20 minutes. Not sure if that’s a mark against their service or if they just were so busy they weren’t paying attention? Weird. Other than that, the service was timely and good. There’s a full bar as well as a sushi bar. Portion sizes for the sushi rolls were on the bigger side-YAS! Would totally come here again!(: ICHIBANROLL: Roll comes with spicy yellowtail(didn’t find it spicy at all), cucumber, avocado, salmon, tuna albacore, white fish and shrimp. First time trying it and I really liked it. CATERPILLARROLL: Roll comes with eel, Low-key sad whenever a caterpillar roll doesn’t have a presentation of like a caterpillar face/head like some sushi restaurants do, but definitely don’t let that deter you! Tasted exactly as I expected-yummy! SALMONSUSHI: Two fat slabs of raw salmon on a little bunch of rice. I like that ratio! Tasted as I expected(delicious), but size was surprisingly huge! DRAGONROLL: Roll comes with crabmeat, cucumber, avocado, spicy tuna, and it’s covered with tempura crumbs. Definitely brushed the crumbs off, but still enjoyed it! Could see it being slightly spicy to others. MISOSOUP: Tasted as I expected it to taste.
