Love coming here! Great prices and the food is even more amazing. I thought it was only open during lunch hour like many of the restaurants in this center, but I was so happy to see they were opened today(Saturday!) Definitely would recommend.

This is a secret well held among local South Bay dwellers. During lunch, lines are out the door, as many who the local industries flock to this mecca of Greek foods in amounts that would feed a hard working person. I was told to check in on Unilocal, and get a free drink, which was cool of my friend to point out. My co-workers found out about this place actually in the evening, where customers are cops and truckers; always a good sign too! Their combination plates are the best, with shish kabob type cuts of meats and gyro lamb slices and shrimp too. If you are following the Soccer games or NBA Finals, no problem; they have both on two TVs. If you’re in a hurry, and want excellent food this is a gem of a place to either dine in or take out.

This is a solid offering in the area. Have never been disappointed with the food. The salmon kabobs are probably my favorite. Even as leftovers they are still excellent. I’ve only ordered for pick up and maybe only once or twice had to wait longer than I wanted to. Overall, a spot we will return to regularly.

After a long search of the perfect gyro wrap, I finally found my spot. The Green Olive consistently delivers the best gyro meat and the biggest portion I’ve ever seen in my life. The hummus is bomb and the service is always great. I mean, ALWAYS. The gyro wrap comes with a side of either jalapeño potatoes or side salad. I always get the potatoes because duh, potatoes + jalapeños. But I have to dock off a star because I never get the same potatoes. I’ve gotten them either undercooked, overcooked, greasy, and/or not spicy. But when they give me the perfect batch, it’s so so good. I could eat a whole bucket of them. Tangy, spicy, well-seasoned potatoes. I just wish I could get them that way every time. TL;DR: The best mediterranean spot in the south bay. Get the gyro wrap, call in your order because lunch gets busy, jalapeño potatoes can be either a hit or a miss.

A coworker and I decided to try new places this week and found The Green Olive on Unilocal. The prices are good and portions are large. The food is so flavorful its hard to believe you’re eating healthy. The owner saved me on carb overload and gave me more salad and less rice. Looking forward to returning with more coworkers. They cater too.

I LOOOOOOVE this place! I’m a regular here. Their menu is filled with great choices and healthy too! Their garlic potatoes are to die for. I always get the fettouche salad with salmon skewers, never disappoints. Their kabob wraps are delicious, you can choose potatoes or the yummy house salad as a side. All their salads are super good. Definitely not your typical boring salad. To top it all off the staff is great too!

Came in to pick up dinner and wanted to change it up a bit instead of the regular plates. I asked about the people’s choice plates. they are combos one and one items for $ 8.99. They offer beef kabob and a chicken kabob, or kafta and chicken or falafel and chicken. For a dollar more at $ 9.99 shrimp and chicken, shrimp and gyro, and even shrimp and beef. These plates include rice humus and house salad. Great alternate choices. The guy in front is amazing at what he does. He works out your order for you and offers suggestions when you have doubts. Always remember to check in for that free soda!

Second time eating here and its the same… Delicious!!! Chicken kabobs are tender and well seasoned. I dont care for steak, but I tried a steak kabob and the palate was impressed. Tender well seasoned and cooked perfect. Rice is good and light. All the dressings are good. Spicy and yogurt were really good. Pita was not a fav of mine, but thats not a deal breaker. I will come back again.

Wow this place is amazing. I am a huge fan of Mediterranean food. Thanks to my Unilocaler friend and that’s how I end up driving over here cause they know wassup. The portion is pretty huge, I didn’t think I was going to finish it but it was so good. I ordered the gyro mix that comes with three different kinds of meat, rice, hummus and pita bread. The price not that bad either. Only problem during that time I went the soda fountain was out of order. Bummer. Hope they fix soon cause I will be going back there reeeeaal soon.

Place is always packed, I highly recommend calling ahead your order or placing it through Unilocal, you can walk to the front of the line and pick up your meal — quick & easy!

«I can be your gyro, baby!» After a long day of running errands here & there, I needed a pick-me-up! All thanks to TGO, my Fri-nay turned to a Fri-yay before the night ended. Before arriving, I had my order all figured out. I do recommend the gyro plate which consists of salad, rice, hummus and gyro – pita bread on the side. It may sound like a lot and that’s because it is! They’re generous with portions so I do suggest sharing. Even their vegetarian plate requires sharing! I’ve been here a few times and I’ve tried so hard to pace myself, but that never seems to work. Their food is too darn delicious to slow down! But seriously, slow down! Take advantage of their check-in promo of a free drink. Each entrees do come with sides of hot sauce & tzatziki. Don’t forget to ask for a garlic sauce on the side, it’s a must! Tonight’s service was exceptional. The gentlemen behind the counter was nice and friendly. Our food came out quick as usual even on a busy night. They do get a lot of phone-in orders/take-outs. TGO is situated in a secluded plaza, a bit of a hidden gem if you ask me. There’s another branch located in Gardena which is a bit more known as they host popular events on-site, ie. comedy show. Also, the Gardena location is more of an outdoor, open space. Either location, food is always made fresh & delicious!

A+++++ The food is amazing, tasty dessert, chill atmosphere, very clean and friendly service! I’m not sure how to spell or pronounce some of the food but it’s delicious! I highly recommend this place! Dinner time wasn’t too crowded but I hear they get crowded at lunch so call ahead if you’re in a rush!

I really love Mediterranean food so when I found out that this place was near my work area, I thought I’d drop in for lunch. First off, the staff is really nice and they get you in and out quickly. Despite it being 12:30 and everyone is out getting lunch, they weren’t overly packed but tables were still filled. I got the chicken plate(comes with chicken skewers, rice, salad, hummus, and some sort of flat bread), which they said was their best sealer, and I wasn’t impressed. The chicken was flavorful but it was way too salty! The rice was good though, and the salad was fresh. The hummus was good too, and the bread was pretty bland but soft. Overall, I’ve had better but it isn’t the absolute worst. If a friend of mine wanted to drop by then I would join him/her, but it’s not a place that I would return to anytime soon by myself.

Great place to get your Mediterranean food. Tried their steak and chicken kabobs both were great. Rice and hummus was delicious. The restaurant was clean with friendly service. You can order right from your Unilocal app like I did and have it either delivered or ready for pick up. But if you check in you get a complimentary 20 oz drink. Can’t say anything but but good things about this place. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking to satisfy their Mediterranean craving. No pics because it looked delicious and we were starving, sorry :)

While the interior of The Green Olive leaves something to be desired, the food does not. The selection and quality of Mediterranean food is absolutely incredible and the customer service is superb. My husband and I stopped in here for a lunch break and we tried the gryo platter and the vegetarian platter and both were super delicious and filling. The amount of food you get for the price you pay is more than worth it. You can also redeem a free drink when you check in here which is exactly what I did and guess what? The guy taking our order(I think he may have been the owner) gave us another drink for free. Now that’s true customer appreciation — a little goes a long way. We will definitely be making a return for a delicious meal if we’re ever in the same area again!

Going Green for my last 2015 review! The Green Olive is a pretty popular place with a lot of the businessmen and women around the area patronizing this eatery. We’ve had them deliver to the office and I also recently made my way over here for a small solo order. I was initially a little confused of it’s whereabouts but I found it eventually. It was packed to the brim and the staff was working hard grilling and preparing orders. Ambiance is okay, nothing special. It’s cozy, nonetheless. Food is pretty good. Their dips are yummy. Hummus on point. Yogurt & cucumber needs a little more garlic(for me at least) but nice. Baba is delicious. Jalapeño sauce is also a great touch. Overall, I’m in saucy heaven here. Not a huge fan of their falafel though. Under spiced & over blended, IMO. Dolmas(stuffed grape leaves) were good as well but I think I’m the only one that liked them in my office. Anyway, I think this is a pretty good find and will keep coming back when craving Mediterranean during my 9 to 5.

This place is great! I’ve been scheduled at Compton Courthouse for jury duty for the past four days, three of which have been spent dining at The Green Olive. The parking is well, onerous, as The Green Olive is situated in a «food court» among five or six other cafes/eateries, and two or three other enterprises, leaving patrons to compete for the 30 parking spaces. If you do happen to secure a spot, be careful upon exiting. There are bound to be cars exiting and entering, simultaneously. I learned on my second visit to simply park on the main street and walk 1 – 2 minutes, instead of vying for parking in the vicinity. Don’t get me wrong; while the food may be good, it’s not worth catching a civil case over. This is a popular location, especially around the lunch hour. However, don’t let this fact discourage you from coming midday. The service is lighting quick, whether you’re dining in or taking it to go. Never do they take over five minutes. They are about their business. Also, the owner is very friendly. I ordered their Tatosix, a spiraled fried potato snack, and asked if they had any ketchup, upon inspecting my order. The man informed me that they did not have ketchup in store. However, he claimed that the establishment next store had some and that he could go retrieve some for me. Sheepishly, I walked out, and headed to my car. Just as I had settled in my car, out comes the owner with three or four ketchup packets, as promised. I was blown away. Most staff would have just left it at that. They don’t carry any and that’s that. It’s acts like these that will have customers returning. A nice gentleman, he is. FOOD: Kebabs ____ Chicken(5⁄5) Steak Kebab(5⁄5) Kofta(5⁄5) I haven’t much to say in regards to the kebabs, as they are well seasoned, generous in portion, and that the green sauce they give you pairs with the meats remarkably well.(I think they are priced at around $ 1.75-$ 2.25 each? Somewhere around that ballpark.) Falafel(3⁄5) As for the falafel, I must contest that I have had better. I wasn’t too fond of the texture of the falafel. I found it to be particularly dense. It was lacking that crisp, crunchy exterior I associate with the fried vegetarian delicacy. They are priced at $ 0.75/ball. Feel free to be judge for yourself! Tatostix(1⁄5) Tatostix = Potato + Stick. Potato Stick = Spiralized fried potato on a stick. Now, that we’ve gotten the terminology out of the way, onto the«tatostix» itself. Let me preface this by saying I am a slut for potatoes. Baked, fried, boiled. I’ll inhale me a potato. There was a picture plastered in the restaurant of the tatostix, and I thought it to have resembled something they would serve at a county fair or something to that effect. I do suppose I expected that artery clogging, deep-fried, crave-worthy quality that you associate with other foods on the stick. That is not what I got. Some two dollars later, the owner produced this swirly foot-long potato thing and reaches over the counter to hand it to me. Might I add, it «comes in» a variety of flavors: cheesy cheddar, flame grilled barbecue, garlic parmesan, salt & pepper, and a few more. Go look at my picture. There was nothing special about it. In fact, I do believe my money to have been better spent on a small fry at Jack and the Box up the street. What I received was a bland undercooked potato. The texture, similar to the falafel, was off. It was something between a cookie and a cracker. It was thin sliced like a cracker, but had the texture of a cookie. No crunch or crisp. Just megh. Also, their means of seasoning the snack is shaking a canister of artificial powdered ingredients upon removing from the frier. Would not recommend. OVERALL: Excellent service and great quality food(4.5÷5 stars) *Just skip the tatostix lol
