Quite frankly, The Right Bank is the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. My first impression: dirty carpet, crumbs crumbs crumbs on the booth seat, a page missing from my menu, dust on everything, and the phone rang and rang loudly(felt like I was at a doctor’s office). The servers made me feel like I was at Denny’s. The food: The escargots may have ruined escargots for me forever, which is really sad. They were not in the shell; instead, they were mixed with portobello mushrooms on a soggy bed of spinach. I can’t even describe what a horrible idea that was. We were served bread that tasted old and like it had been grilled on the same spot as fish, so that it had a weird lingering fish taste. The butter was cold and hard. Served with the bread was a nasty pâté with tortilla chips — yes –you read that right — pâté with tortilla chips. There was also some random shrimp goop that was also served with tortilla chips. The entrees come with choice of soup or salad, and I got the cream of mushroom soup. The server brought my soup soon after bringing my escargots. If I’m paying $ 30 a plate, I expect to be able to finish one course before the next is served. The soup was too thick and pretty tasteless. My boyfriend’s ceasar salad was the only decent thing we ate the whole night(but, really, how hard is a salad?). And now, for the worst part: I ordered the scallops. OMG. I don’t even know where to start. They were tough and tasted really bad. The side of carrots tasted like they had been marinated in a cleaning product. The broccoli was hard(not even like undercooked, which I would’ve been fine with, but, like, tough and chewy). The scallops were on some sort of bed of shallots and something and it was just disgusting. My boyfriend’s coconut shrimp were almost as bad. Although I didn’t try the pasta that took up most of his plate, he said it tasted like someone poured maple syrup on it. The service sucked. They never took away our charger plates, and left other empty/dirty plates on the tables. I asked for a box for the pâté(for the dog!!) and the lady threw a styrofoam container on the table. We asked three times for our check and only received it when we stood up like we were going to walk out. Finally, NOTHING against old people, but my b/f and I were the youngest people in there by, like, 30 years. It’s just not a real hip place is my only point. I was so disappointed. This was supposed to be a special nght out. Thank goodness I had good company or else the whole thing would’ve been a flop.

Well I have to disagree with Christian P(?)…I have been here a few times and love it. The food is excellent and the atmosphere impressive. Live Piano music while you dine is so enjoyable… altho seems louder acoustically than say Wally’s of the Desert(LOL .wonder why?). But of course the service is very good. Accommodating too. I like the 3 course dinner’s with appetizer to begin. Dessert is separate. Hey… and if you get a coupon(Clipper Magazine in mail) you get 2 for 1BOGO. What could be better?! Your chance to try it and save… Also have a BOGO Christmas dinner coming up! I’d come again. Oh — Formerly called the LEFTBANK. Not sure why the change(Ownership)

Our disaster started with cocktails. The«Belevedere» vodka martinis were sent back twice because of the fowl taste of gin. Only after a new bottle was opened did we conclude that they had been refilling expensive liquor bottles with cheap booze and in the process switched the vodka with the gin. How else would gin come out of a Belevedere vodka bottle? The five people in our party were all disappointed in the food. The steak«Diane», filet mingnon, and roast pork«Forestier» were all drowned in the same, think, gluey brown gravy that tasted like it came from a can. The meat was all over-cooked. My «roast pork loin» was actually brasied to the point of being pulled pork, and stuffed with nothing, especially not the mushroom purée as promised on the menu. The prices for both the food and the drinks are very high, especially for the low quality of the food and the small portions(of the drinks). To top it off, when we left, we noticed the Riverside County inspection grade on the window. They got a «B», which is very rare. In checking the county’s website I saw that it wasn’t the first time. Check it out for yourself. Never go here!!!

This place is bad news. We were there with 3 other couples for an annual Valentines dinner out. The food was served warm, not hot, which may be part of the reason no one liked their dinners. The duck that I had was over cooked. The waiter forgot to bring us both the coffee we ordered or the dessert that was part of the special dinner menu, but delivered a check that included both(after a 20 minute wait). On what should have been one of the busiest nights of the year, the place had lots of empty tables. I can see why. We won’t set foot in there again.

I came here Friday night with my parents who mentioned it a few times for a place for dinner. I kept thinking it had something to do with the«West Bank» but anyhow the place is VErY fiercely decorated and well laid out. They did an excellent job in this arena. We had 7pm reservations and the place was nearly empty with only 4 tables out of probably 25 taken. I blame this due to a poor location and unless you are really looking for this place it is VERY easy to pass by. VERY easy! The service was barely average(for 4 tables taken one would expect more). Our salads arrived quickly however the time between this dish and our entrée’s was an unacceptable 25 minutes! I am not sure what the delay was NOR was any apology or explanation given!(–2 points) I had the Rack of Lamb Apricot(something) which was excellent! The meat was perfectly cooked as well as the red cabbage side. We didn’t have dessert so I can’t comment. I doubt I will be back as the service needs to improve and I never saw a manager walking around or making him/herself present. Also this place is quite pricey with entrees $ 27 – 35 but it does include salad/soup though.
