I enjoy going to this particular library, even though the area can be a little sketchy for some but it is a relatively okay area located near Northwest Hospital. It is a very clean and acceptable library. As long as the library isn’t offering something for the kids it is relatively quiet but otherwise you’ll hear the kids loud talking from time to time. They offer a wide variety of books and are easy to find, categorized by the author’s last name. If you are going to the library to gain internet access that is never a problem, as offered in all of the BCPL’s there is a free wi-fi connection. As well, there are about 20 or more computers available for library patrons who wish to use the library computer for whichever reasons. The library does allow printing of material from the computers but for a fee of 15 cents a page(I think). The quiet room consists of a magazine and newspaper collection with tables and small desks for people wanting to sit alone or with a group. This room is for quiet people only and sometimes if a person«rats you out» or the library staff find you loud or on the phone loud in this room they will either ask you to go out of the quiet room to talk or leave the room all together. It’s crazy! but you have to respect the rules. Throughout the library there are larger tables for groups or individuals situated near power sockets to connect your devices. The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. They are always willing to help and give the people information. Check it out or go online on the bcpl website and see if this library or ones near you have what you’re looking for, they can always send it to the closest one to you. It’s as simple as that!
