I believe it was over a year ago my boyfriend took my laptop to this place because it was turning off for no reason. And after analyzing it they told him, I needed a new hard drive which we paid over $ 150 for. When we got the laptop back after couple days the same problem occurred. So we took it back and after a day I got a message and I called them back. They told me what they believe was wrong that time and I needed to pay another $ 150 and she couldn’t guaranteed me it was the problem for sure. Immediately I told her it wasn’t worth it and we will pick up the laptop as soon as we can. We both work demanding jobs that require a lot of our times so the laptop failed in our back burner and we had another one to do our basic. So once my boyfriend had free time, he went to pick it up. That’s when he was informed that they got rid of it. He called me while he was there and I was upset. I demanded to talked to them they swore they e-mailed and left voicemail to me, about getting rid of my laptop if I didn’t come get it. I tend to hoard my mails and voicemails however there was nothing for them, and what would I ignore that message. They told me their policy is they get rid of things after 30 days which we wasn’t aware of. Even when I understood their policy however they lied about calling and leaving e-mails. I wanted to pursuit this further but I realized it wasn’t worth it and this is people like this that give small business a bad name. I regret that I didn’t back up my pictures and I lost my kid first and second birthday pictures. I wasn’t going to even write this, but I needed the people going to them to be careful and read the small print. I don’t have anything against their policy but lying is another thing.

My MacBook Pro’s harddrive failed on me! Not too sure how and why but I called Computer Escape for a quote — I didn’t need repair since I was still under my insurance period. However, insurance did not cover transferring my data from my Mac onto an external hard drive. I talked to Dave — He was friendly and had a flat rate price of $ 35.00 to transfer my files over(I didn’t have toooooo many files but that price is almost unbeatable)! My experience working with Dave exceed all of my expectations! He was accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, affordable, and the job took a couple of hours. I have used Computer Escape twice now. Both times they were wonderful. My laptop hard drive was fried and they replaced it. It was very reasonably priced and the staff is very friendly and know what they are talking about! I had to go back 6 months later for some computer virus and yet again, they were amazing. They are honest and up front and tell you if it’s worth fixing or not. I like that about them. I can’t stand when a company will just fix something not worth fixing to make a dollar. Then two months later it’s going to break. I definitely will always use Computer Escape for all my Computer needs. They do an amazing job.
