I spent ten summers at Stonybrook Day Camp, moving from camper, to CIT, to lifeguard, and finally counselor. Like me, much of the staff returned year after year. These were wonderful summers. Judging from the website, it doesn’t look like much has changed, with the exception of the ownership.
It appears from the website that Steve and JoAnn Pine are no longer affiliated. This is not surprising-​I am hopeful that the new owner is running it the same way-​as a small, friendly, non-​competitive environment. What I’d do for another bomb pop, to spend another rainy day at the movies in Succasunna, or to crab walk out of the pool one more time…
PS. In the interest of full disclosure, I spent the summers between 83 – 92 there, so my information is VERY dated.
