Stopped in for lunch, and ordered two different sandwiches to go. While the sandwiches were okay, and actually reasonably filling, the attitude of the owner/manager and staff was as indifferent as could be, as they are truly attuned to the regular/local customers, at the exclusion of anyone else. Best part of the experience was taking the sandwiches out back to a bench on the water and enjoy the fresh outdoors. $ 17 for two sandwiches.

I want to revise my earlier review. I went back twice over the last week and had great breakfasts. The service was very friendly, responsive and the food was great. One time they were very crowded. But we got fast and friendly service. I ordered Irish Benedict and it was excellent. It came out hot and fast. Our server checked with us a couple of times to see how things were. Worth a visit and I’ll be back

The bagels were definitely nothing special, we both agreed that you can buy bagels like these at the grocery store. I had a bruschetta bagel and it was sort of good, although the bruschetta was overwhelming and it was basically a bagel with a lot of tomato pieces on top and some factory-grated(and factory flavored) parmesan cheese. The food was served with an attitude — we were told«you can get your drinks from the cooler!» several times in a commanding way. We looked in the cooler, didn’t see anything we wanted to get in there. But later on there was another sharp«I said you can get your drinks from the cooler, did you hear me?» Whoa there, that is not the vibe you wanna feel in a lovely little vacation town like this one. But then again, there’s really not much in the way of other options, so you should probably eat here.

This is my favorite place in town. I stop in everyday when I’m around. They bake their own bagels and serve up a great cup of coffee, which comes from the carrabassett coffee co. The breakfast sandwiches are top notch.

Bad. The food isnt great and the service is the worst. NOTFRIENDLY. The owner is misreable. I see its for sale and here’s to hoping some picks it up cheap cause anyone is better than her !

Stopped in here our first morning in Rangeley. They have decent coffee– although stick to the darker roasts if you like your coffee to have a little body to it. the regular house coffee blends were super weak but the others were good. Both J and I had the Nor’easter bagel sandwich with bacon(egg, cheese & bacon on a bagel). Good hearty sandwich, came out fast and hot despite it being busy. The bagel itself wasn’t anything special– If a place has«bagels» in the name, I do usually expect the bagels to be something a little above everything else they offer but they were not much different than grocery store bagels but my sandwich was still good. j had a raspberry turnover– fluffy and crispy, good, not too sweet. They didn’t have many other pastry selections but we weren’t complaining. We stopped in the day we were leaving to grab a quick sandwich but it was almost noon and they told us they stopped breakfast sandwiches at 11. Don’t see why it’s such a big deal to cook an egg when you have hot lunch sandwiches that require a lot more cooking but hey, that’s their rule and you can make your own when you run a business. Ended up getting a bagel with cream cheese since I wanted breakfast — the veggie cream cheese was yummy and the bagel ho hum. Overall– decent place to get a quick bite and coffee. Would go back if in Rangeley again but no wowed by anything in particular.

I love visiting this place every time I get up to Rangeley.
