I frequent this shop often. Cozy nice place, great coffee, great food. I have never had a poor exp there.

My husband and I have gotten coffee/smoothies here twice. When we went there wasn’t many people and the service was good. The coffee and smoothies are okay, not like the best ever, but their prices are similar to Starbucks, so I would just go there because there coffee is good and smoothies are better.

I go to Dunns most every morning. Great service! Good coffee. Way better then Charbucks! I usually stick to a medium or light roast. I love a little cinnamon sprinkled in. Smells and tastes great. Cold press iced on a hot day is awesome. Bonus is they have Colonial house Carmel rolls. Hands down the best ones on the planet.

Coffee is just as expensive as Starbucks and not as good. Don’t get me wrong it’s drinkable just not enjoyable. I purchased medium roast cup of Jo. Also if you are planning on using they’re wifi Then change your plans. It’s always broken. And nothing else is around that will work. I gave a one star because I cannot recommend this place. It’s very mediocre coffee — you can make it better at home.

Great coffee! best caramel macchiato in town and Italian sodas too! Very quiet and plenty of room to do work too!

I am not a great coffee judge. I mostly drink the same kind of Starbucks and I am okay with that. Always iced. This place has cold pressed coffee and that is some legitimate stuff. I forgot about it until I started writing this review and now I want it again, but I live like 1,500 miles away so that probably won’t happen. Also, one trip to South Dakota per year is already exceeding my annual capacity. Nice bathroom with a picture of a cat doing something weird. In case you were wondering.

I had a mocha it wasn’t that good. It was over sweet but not chocolate flavored. Service was super slow. Wouldn’t come Back.

I’m both happy and a little disappointed that this is probably the best place to get coffee in Rapid City. The regional chain makes a pretty good brew and their latte style drinks always come with one more shot than the other guys(arguably the *proper* amount of coffee for a drink that’s supposed to be about the coffee, not the milk). There is plenty of comfortable seating most of the time. I think they get a little overcrowded and that’s when they become sensitive of people overstaying their welcome on the Wifi. I’ve never had a bad experience with that. I also have always had a great cup here — I’m not sure why people would get bad coffee here, but maybe that’s their own taste. The beans are the best coffee you can make at home but expensive.(Part of the reason I started roasting myself) The sandwiches are average warmed in a bag stuff — take it or leave it. We go for the coffee.

I like this chain for one thing: their cappuchino-sized espressos. I was pleased to find one in Rapid City on a recent trip to look at big rock sculptures. We weren’t in there long enough to experience the poor service they seem to be famous for.

they’re better than starbucks, that’s for sure. they roast in-house, so you can can at least taste roast flavors in the coffee. it’s a nice place, with lots of little nooks.

Undrinkable Americano this morning. McDonald’s brewed coffee tasted better. Barista mentioned he didn’t drink coffee. Why work in a coffee shop if you don’t drink what you’re selling? How can I trust you to know if it tastes how it should? Typical Rapid, service is poor and the product is worse.

When I am traveling it is always a relief when I come across a Dunn Bros. No coffee compares to fresh roasted coffee. Great snacks and pastries too.

Woah! Really nasty manager. My friend wanted coffee; I didn’t. We went to Dunn Brothers so he could get some. Manager wouldn’t let me sit in the store without us EACH buying something! Fuck that. We’ll never be back. Manager also gave my friend shit about getting milk with his coffee — I overheard something like«well, if you’re gonna use my internet, then … «WOAH.

I really want to like Dunn Bros because they roast their beans in house and they have a parking lot so I don’t have to move my car every 2 hours, BUT. The coffee is just ok, drinkable but there is definitely better coffee in town. I haven’t tried the espresso like the other reviewer, but already knowing how the coffee is I probably wouldn’t. Also it both baffles me AND drives me insane that they have an entire staff of baristas and it seems as though not a single one of them knows how to use an espresso machine steam wand properly, so if you’re planning on sticking around be prepared to hear the repeated high volume/pitch screeching of incorrectly steamed milk as well as the staff YELLING over the noise. I also wouldn’t order a latte based on the educated guess that nobody really knows what’s going on with that espresso machine. The food is really not even worth discussing. In fact it seems like food was just an afterthought from corporate to bring up the sales. It is all prepackaged microwaved nastiness. I haven’t tried the baked goods because I don’t really see a point. None of it is made in house. I’ve actually bought a breakfast sandwich from the drive through and had to throw it away and go somewhere else because it was so gross. AND I was hungover which means it must have been REALLY gross to warrant that kind of effort. That said, it’s a big place with lots of room to do homework and the baristas are always nice.

I missed my morning stop for coffee and Dunn Bros was suggested by many for great coffee and a special cinnamon coffee cake. They might have good coffee but their espresso sucked. My latte was not good at all. Also they didn’t have any of the coffee cake. The staff told me it comes in a few times a week and they didn’t get a shipment today. Hmmm… shipment? I probably didn’t want it anyway. Browsing the other breakfast offerings I opted not to order anything. All the sandwiches were pre-made that they reheated. They were like the breakfast sandwiches you see at the gas station — no thank you. The good thing was the shop was well laid out with plenty of places to sit. They had free wi-fi and lots of outlets if you needed to plug in, and the staff was quite friendly. But with no good coffee or breakfast I won’t be back. peace, love, and good booze ~ chase
