Best canolis around! They still fill them fresh! The older gentleman who works there is SO sweet and had no problem letting me try the lemon cake before I bought a few pieces to make sure I liked it.

Thank goodness it’s NOT Randazzo’s. The real thing. Italian cookies like your great-grandmother would be making if you were Italian. The difference from most of the other«italian» bakeries in central NJ? Cookies and pastries are actually freshly made, with still warm from the oven special pastries on offer in the mornings. I drive halfway up the eastern seaboard for those cookies. The coffee is a beautiful thing. In summer the iced cappucino is a cup of perfection made with fresh brewed espresso and a beautiful creamy foam on top. They speak italian, love families, and are kind to my mother and grandmother who I bring whenever I’m home. Totally unpretentious authenticity. The locals know a good thing, thanks Italian bakery for sharing with the rest of us!

My absolute favorite place to go when in Raritan. The goodies take me back to the good ol days when my Nonna used to make them for me! I recommend going here, you won’t be disappointed.

This is NOT Randazzos as a previous reviewer stayed. Randazzos is across the street. Italian bakery is still owned by the same family that’s had it for the last 50 years. And it’s still amazing.

I ordered a birthday cake for Easter Sunday. 3 layer cake, vanilla. chocolate, and vanilla, with fresh strawberries with french cream and pineapple filling. TH cake was good, the whip cream was good, the decoration was good, everything was fine till we cut the cake. There was hardly any fresh strawberries in the cake and very little pineapple filling. The mouth of filling they put in the cake would not even satisfy a cat. I will never go there again!

Nicest selection of Italian pastries and cookies that I have seen lately. Put this place on your Christmas list for holiday pastries. Main location is 31 Reaville Ave, Flemington — in the Hunterdon Shopping Center. I wanted to take a selection home today but my wife told me to lose 10 pounds first. Next time. Not much bread on display but it was mid-afternoon and they may have sold most of today’s supply. Shop doesn’t look very inviting from the street — too much clutter in the windows. Inside the place is big, well-lit, with a long line of pastry displays on the right and some seating in the back.

If you find yourself in Raritan and in need of a delicious pastry and a cappucino, this should be your first stop. There are so many varieties of pastry and all the ones we tried were delicious. The espresso was great. I drank a lot of bad coffee on this trip, so this place was my oasis in a desert of quik-e-mart powdered coffee and bad drip. Sebastiano, the owner was great. He was perhaps my favorite thing about Italian Bakery. He would tell you what was up! We brought our coworker, who had traveled from Torino, Italy here because he needed real coffee and I think he really enjoyed bantering about soccer with Sebastiano. Great place!
