Totally worth the small drive of I25 to eat here. Every thing I eat was amazing. The hamburger I got(jalapeño cream cheese burger) it was spicy and so delicious, with great fresh toppings. The chili fries were huge with lots of toppings and could feed 2 people easy. Onion rings are really good, not homemade but battered rings. Love that this is a family place with dad and kids running it. Raton don’t let this place go away it’s amazing.

Hamburger was amazing! Huge burger and a lot of meat. You can tell its grilled and not just thrown on a pan. Yum yum! Good find!

I heard about this restaurant on KRTN while they were doing the grand opening with the Raton Chamber of Commerce. My wife and I thought we would check it out today for lunch while we were in Raton. The menu was nice and easy to read. I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger and my wife had a cheese burger. The burgers were great. Fresh and huge. The curly fries were okay. Not sure what seasoning they use but there was a sweetness to them. Our server was friendly and quick to get our drinks and order, but was very soft spoken and at times hard to hear especially after the owner/manager?? turned the TV volume up. The downsides: 1. I ordered regular iced tea only to be told they only had raspberry tea or sweet green tea. 2. We ordered the fried pickles only to be told 15 minutes after placing our order that they didn’t have any batter mix for them. 3. It was almost 25 minutes from order to food being brought to our table. Fix these few things more stars.

Hamburger Heaven was a nice discovery on a recent visit to Raton. It’s a basic burger joint with a few other menu options. I loved their Zia burger — cheese, green chile and some kind of «green sauce». The curly fries were a nice touch. They even served us a small complimentary plate of chips and salsa. :) The restaurant is located inside a historic building that may have been a bar in the past. It’s got some character. If you’re a fan of booths, good news, they have booths. Service is a little slow and they may be short-staffed. Just be a little patient. Remember, this is a small town.
