Friendliest waitstaff I’ve encountered in a long time. I was passing through and stopped for breakfast at 8am on a weekday. The place was bustling with locals — salt of the earth type of folks. I had breakfast, which was great, so I can’t speak to the complaints other reviewers have about lunch and dinner. Anyhow, I would take this over the Denny’s down the road any day. I’m glad to see an independent business such as this doing well these days.

Even though the atmosphere is not cozy and welcoming, The service was very good and warm. We were served by the owners themselves and menu substitutions were available. If you eat anything that you would like with the spicy sauce, ask for their homemade salsa; it was delicious. This is a typical diner on the side of road, when you are on a road trip and on your way somewhere. But for the type of establishment, it was definitely more than expected.

Worst food I have had in a long time !!! Burger dripping in grease as well as fries my wife ordered the chicken fried steak no flavor … Food was terrible along with service !!! Do yourself a favor avoid at all cost!!!

Food and service was awful. Burger arrived cold. Sent it back, next one came out cold as well. Chili arrived cold. Sent it back and it came back warm, but not edible. Grilled chicken sandwich was delivered on a cold bun with one piece of wilted white lettuce. Chicken tenders were processed, frozen and over fried. Mashed potatoes were sticky, lumpy, and had absolutely no flavor and the gravy was congealed. Save you time and money. You’d be better off at the fast food options in the area. Robert Irvine needs to pay the Oasis a visit soon!

Very disappointed in the food here. They couldn’t cook a burger to order and then asked us to sign something that they wouldn’t be held accountable for us getting sick from the burger. The soup which came with the meal was terrible. My food came burnt and I sent it back only to get another one marginally better. The only thing that was decent was the fish that my husband ordered. My son’s French fries weren’t even cooked. Bad experience.

Fast, friendly, simple, and delicious. We stopped for a quick bite in Raton and The Oasis fit the bill. Diet Cokes were great and the staff was generous with refills. Sandwiches were basic and well made. All of the staff were in a good mood!

We had breakfast here while staying in Raton and it was very good and well priced. I had a hard time deciding between the breakfast burrito and the omelet, but chose the omelet and was not disappointed. I would recommend the Oasis as a breakfast stop anytime.
